I was thinkin one day that LK should make some anita blake movies. i love the books and would love to see it on screen. Does anyone else here think that there should be movies about the anita blake novels. or am i alone on this.

I think a movie would be great of the first 9 but the rest would have to be porn.

There should be a mini-television movie things... Done by Hallmark. Two episodes to each book.
Kinda like they did with Merlin, Dinotopia and Earthsea.

I donno...I dont think movies could quite do the books justice. And like Narniakat said...It would end up as porn.

There is going to be a movie, or a TV series. Someone (some guy from Seinfeld, methinks) already bought the rights. There's also a comic which SHOULD be out by now, but nooo, can't find the damn thing...
And yes, there damn well should be. If it sucks, it'll be great for my train wreck syndrome. If it rocks, it rocks. If it turns into porn, I'll be able to legally buy it by that time anyway. mrgreen

*Giggles* I'm already legally able to buy it. I'd just add it to my collection of more riskay movies that I can't watch because there's two kids in the house.
Wouldn't stop me though. The brats go to bed in the early morning. So... I could have the big screen to watch it on.
But... I bet they'd tame it down for movies after the ninth book. Which is a pity. Even though I can't get into romance books, I like the Blake ones. Go figure...
Oh, it's because the guys are cuter and not just there for decor. That must be the reason.

I don't think they could do justice to the book. There are alot of areas in the book where you read anitas thoughts, I don't think they're going to do that many voiceovers. And I doubt you can get her emotions through as well. I believe we'll all be disappointed by the movies.

I've often thought about movies for it and such, but those would be some XXX movies with all the sex and violence. But yea, if they toned it down a mini TV seriese would be cool (like several episoads for each book) but then toning it down wouldn't do it justice, but I would still watch them!

what kind of question is that? of course there should be movies on it. and hamilton is a genius, she'll work out the plots so there will still be sex and you wont have to rent it under porno. in fact i've been doing back flips since i heard there was a new movie coming out on guilty pleasures! blaugh blaugh blaugh blaugh

Well, now she can get someone better to produce it. She's a bestsellign author, right? At least really popular. And the vamp movies are popular now.
