So, anybody been to see it yet? Me and my friends went yesterday, dressed as pirates. Everyone gave us weird looks, but it was so worth it. xd
If you haven't been, make sure you wait until after the film. There's a little bit after the credits have been on, but beware. The credits take AGES. x_xSpoilers from now on. =) I thought it was hilarious when Jack was running from the cannibals. I loved it when he jumped over the gap in the cliffs when he was a human kebab, and then fell off the cliff because of the weight of the fruits dragging him down. I laughed a lot. xd
When he got back to the Pearl, and started climbing up, I loved it when he said 'You will always remember this as the day when *Wave washes over him* ...Captain Jack Sparrow'. Classic Jack quote. <3
Heh, loved it when Jack was on the ship and he said 'Why is the rum always gone? *Looks inside rum bottle* ...Oh, that's why'. Another Classic Jack quote. <333 Awww, poor dude lost his Captain hat. sad
Also, we finally meet Bootstrap Bill. When Will and Bootstrap Bill meet each other, it's like a classic father son moment. IT'S SO CUTE. D:
I thought the comeback of Norrington was funny. I loved how he randomly started on everybody in the Faithful Bride, and then Elizabeth hit him over the head with a bottle. 'I just wanted the pleasure of doing that myself'. xd Also, I thought it was funny how Jack kept stealing everybody's hats in the pub. Then when some people were going to throw a man off the balcony, he took off his hat, gave it to the person who was about to be thrown off and said 'Carry on'.
I loved it when they went to find the Davey Jones' Chest, and Jack, Norrington and Will all turned on each other. Then we saw Elizabeth have a big strop, and started throwing sand at the three lads fighting. I thought this was one of the best parts of the film. It was hilarious. XDDD Then we saw Pintel and Ragetti run off with the chest! XD When Elizabeth ran after them, and then realised Will had taken her sword, Pintel and Ragetti pulled out their swords, and Pintel said 'Hello Poppet...' like he did in the first film. Loved it. whee
I think one of the worst parts of the film was when Elizabeth chained Jack to The Black Pearl. The Captain of our crew and me were virtually screaming at Elizabeth when she did that. I don't know how she could do that. If you met somebody like Captain Jack Sparrow, would you have the heart to snog his face off, then chain him to his own ship? I wouldn't. >.<
But he went down in a typical Captain Jack style. I thought it was great that he recovered his hat before the sea monster killed him. Then we saw him in slow motion taking on the sea monster in a one man battle. RIP Captain Jack. <3
I thought that when Tia Dalma was asking the crew if they would sail to the other side of the world to find Jack was really great. I liked how Gibbs was the first to speak up when they were asked the question. We were all like 'Good on you Gibbs. <3'
I loved it at the end, when Tia Dalma said 'You're going to need a Captain who knows these waters'. Then Barbossa came down the stairs. whee Our crew was actually wondering how they revived Barbossa. We also wondered why the monkey was undead. If the Jack the monkey is undead, then why isn't Barbossa? Makes no sense whatsoever. xd
The small bit after the credits, shows the dog that had the keys as the new God of the cannibals. You know he ran off when he couldn't get onto the Black Pearl? Yeah, well the cannibals weren't going to eat him... Yet. XD
Well, that's most of the film that I can remember. So yes. Discuss with me! 8D I haven't really said much about Davey Jones... o_o;

Oh god, I LOVED POTC2! But I want Jack back NOW, dammit! I'll kill the bloody Kraken myself to get him back!
The part where Jack was running from the cannibals was absolutely hilarious. I loved the bit when he was crashing through the bridges. 3nodding
Though the part when he was trying to get away from the fire/put it out by blowing on it was great as well.
Jack: *blows on the fire*
Me: Oh yeah, mate, that's really gonna do a lot. rolleyes
I loved when he was climbing back on the ship,too. Poor Jack never gets to make the dramatic exits he means to. He either doesn't really get away or doesn't get to finish his sentence. It's really not fair.
Bootstrap and Will meeting was SO sweet, and the fact that Bootstrap took the eternity of service for Will was a moment that kinda made me tear up.
And what about the meeting between Bootstrap and Jack? I loved that, too.
I was shocked when Jack told them to leave his hat when they were trying to get away. It showed just how serious the situation really was. But he got it back, so it turned out alright. Well, sort of.
The comeback of Norrington was GREAT! I loved the fact that he was so different from when he started (am I the only one who likes him much more when he's a bit scruffy like that?), and Elizabeth bashing him with the bottle was awesome. I loved that everyone cheered for her when she did it. And Jack stealing everyone's hats was one of the best parts of the movie. I found it funny how no-one really seemed to care that he was switching hats with them.
Jack, Norrington and Will might have been the best part of the movie. Them fighting on that wheel is one of the greatest things I have EVER seen. And the expressions on Eliabeth, Pintel, and Ragetti's faces when the wheel came rollong by with them on top of it? Absolutely priceless. Also great was the way Elizabeth started sulking when she couldn't get anyone's attention by fainting.
I think that was one of the worst parts, too. I was jsut sitting there thinking "You. Little. b***h! How the hell could you do that to Jack?" If I met somebody like Captain Jack Sparrow, he might end up chained to something, but it sure as hell wouldn't be the mast of the Black Pearl.
I don't see how she could go snogging him like that (IN FRONT OF WILL, I might add), then chain him to the mast and leave him for the Kraken to eat. Bloody stupid wench. stare And I don't know what it was about Jack saying "Pirate" after she did it, but I was about ready to cry,
Jack facing down the Kraken was possibly one of the most chilling parts of the movie. The fact that he got free, had a chance (however slim) of getting over the side of the ship and not taking it shows, I think, that he is indeed a good man. The fact that he stood and faced it with his sword drawn and his typical attitude firmly in place was probably the best moment of the movie.
I LOVED the ending, but when they were toasting Jack, saying "He was a good man" and whatever else it was, I was sitting there going "IS, dammit, IS! Jack IS a good man! He is NOT dead!" 'Cause of course I'm in complete denial that such a thing is even a possibility.
I wondered how they revived Barbossa, too.I think the reason Jack the monkey is undead and not Barbossa is that the monkey picked up a piece of the gold at the end of the first movie, so he's got his own personal curse going which doesn't affect Barbossa because Barbossa wasn't there (I think) when he did it, or if he was, he didn't take gold out of the chest.
Hee, hee, poor dog! xd Little guy doesn't know what he's in for.
And Davey Jones was pretty creepy. Him playing the organ with his tentacles was very...actually, I don't really know what to say. Weird, maybe?

I saw it a couple weeks ago with my Dad and my brother and I'm (hopefully) going to see it again tomorrow. It was really well done and I can't wait for the next one. It's going to be really interesting to see Barbossa and Jack in the same place. And why does Barbossa want to help them anyway? They took the Black Pearl from him.

Ok... so I ssssoooo know a secret.... Jack is ssssoooo not dead because in the third movie he comes back and his dad is there played by none other than himself, the drunk Keith Richards the dude who Johnny Depp based his charater on. Hehehehehehehe. Im ssssssoooooo good!!!!!!!!

Aww, I only just found this thread today... I've ranted so much about PotC 2 that I don't have much spazticness left in me... Although, if I see it again, I probably will. Four times, hoping for another. Probably won't happen, though...
I was there opening night, it was really great. Hugescreen theater, completely full. 500 people, 80% + dressed like pirates. Including a guy with an inflatable parrot XD
Right now, I'm just looking foreward to the DVD. December Fifth! Two versions coming, I think... One with the movie and some deleted scenes, and the special one with 8 hours of features. I'm hoping for the second one whee
