ok, you all, i got a question, how many of you play mainstream deck, like for current: WW, T&N, RDW, MBC, MUC. And if not (the cooler people) how do you co-exist with these powerhouses?

My testing so far has shown MUC to be the clearly superior deck in Standard.

How do you beat them?
Step 1) Play them. Find out how they work. More importantly, find out WHY they work. Understand why Affinity doesn't care about Naturalize, for example.
Step 2) Remember what cards you REALLY don't like seeing.
Step 3) Play those cards.

Damping Matrix is a pretty good answer to a lot of stuff right now.

For those that don't understand T&N is Tooth and Nail, RDW is Red Deck Wins, MUC is Mono Blue Control, and MBC is Mono Black Control...I thought Ponza and LandD were pretty much the same with few differences...meh. LandD is land destruction.

originality fool. my own BuBK reanimator kicked butt when i played it. seven land belcher is always a pain in the..... mono green beats will have fun. my red/bk spirit control is a pain in the butt for T&N. im building another BUBK deck that is geared against ww and t&n. if they reprint lobotomy, i'll definately build it and take out all of those d@#$ netdeckers... anyway, the BUBK is a rat deck, yeah rats. kiss this if you disagree w/ it, anyway lets put it this way they never have cards, creatures, life, or a chance to pull off combos. massive amts of creat. that have nice eff. make it a pain for them. if you need to screw over those combo decks, just use uba mask, ornate kanzashi, cranial extraction, and thought disector. that'll do the trick

Do you have Magic Workstation?

I am fully willing to back up my claims of MUC being the best deck in the format.

And there's a supreme difference between simply netdecking (which will lose you games) and working to make well-known decks the best they possibly can be. Both require dedication, playtesting, and originality.

im gonna be brutally honest in my opinions, there is no best deck in the format. And even though you can beat the standard build of the deck, everbody, and i mean eveybody, does something to the deck to make it work agains every match-up, weather it greatly effects the game or not, but hey that's just my opinion...personally i think T&N + MUC are/should be the preffered deck in standard...lol

it is, and im gonna stick to it, but i want you to prove me wrong...make a standard deck that will beat every other standard deck, before regionals, try it

sure, it doesn't matter, i was just making a point: there are great decks, there are decent decks, but there is no "best deck"
