Well this would be the second RP thread. I suppose were just putting this into test phase for now, and we'll see how it works out.
Alright everyone, moving into phase two. Ive done the tweaking I guaranteed and now that Im here its going to change into a past/freedom thing. When we just want to get away from the generic havoc we can come here for our time away from other insanity. Treat different things within the thread as separate situations.
Ex: Saradin and Aurah can be spending time together in the kitchen at some unnamed time while someone else can also be posting about being in the kitchen in their own story without interrupting us. If you dont get it, just go with it please youll get the hang of it if you try.

Pain it caused. But to unbalance the control of one who's soul is a very part of hatred's blackened heart is to set the greatest darkness free. Ember's eyes darkened not even their dull gray tone sustained as the pupil matched the iris in color. The very light around them became vapid, slowly muffled, and the epicenter of this drain being on Ember as he was nearly shrouded by it, but a clear grin plastered on his face. "You really dont understand what you do, do you?"
Agonized roars echoed out from all around him as physical beings were forced into shape from nothingness, the manifest pain of Ember's own disruption as the shadowborn were crafted painfully, bones growing and fleshing stretching before their bodies were able to fully accept them. Five of them, surrounding Cymarron, each shapped roughly like him but deformed uniquely with the nature of their birth and eyes colorless sockets of white that wee tied to the one that created them.
Ember only stepped back quickly and the war inside of his mind took its part, arguing as to whether he should restore his sanity or keep the power. One of the mimics bared its fangs, the same as Cymarron's, roaring as venomous droplets formed and fell from those barbs. Together they charged, guided in perfect unison by a strategic mind that was splintered from the spirit that moderated its viciousness.

"By the Ancestors.."
Of all the reactions he coudl have thought of, this certainly had not been one of them. five of..himself? and the venom in thier fangs as well. Now it became a game of dodgeball...trying not strike where nad when he coudl while doging five creatures of power to him, using everything in the arsenal. fang, claws, dagger...striking where anything presented an opporunity. the growls and snarls of his native tongue, using the words to say the spells. thier power would not be what the runes woudl give, but that was nto a concern. anything to get these creatures away or kill them. wraiths of enfeeblement, poisons, diseases..binding of ethereal chain. flinging himself through tree and from land, but keeping himself always close to Ember, lest that one choose to join this. everything was a weapon. one dagger in the tails grip, one in his hand, and his others claws moving. sratching at the trees, making small marks that when he moved back. writing runes a line at a time. should those runes finish, they would weave a web of spiritual light, hoping these things of shadow could be burned or damaged by intense light.
"What in the name of the Ancestors ARE you, Ember? you are not some simple dark spirit as we supposed."

Standing on the tip of the pillar, the child gazed into the greatness of the skies, and felt his spirit soar. He wished that life had not become the way it had, and hoped that he would be able to restore the problems that caused this chaos, this despair...
His dreaming suddenly ended with the whistle that was an arrow, as it rushed through the air. The boy felt its presence, and before he was at deaths door, the arrow was deflected. He remained standing on the pillar. This exercise was designed to help him deal with stress, to deal with his short attntion span, and to focus his mind on his tasks, and his duties to come. A few more arrows whistled through the air, each one deflected as it was about to strike into him. He was not afraid, but if he missed a single arrow, he would most likely die.
That was the nature of his training, do or die. There was no try, it was always succeed, or death. He had to live, so he succeeded. The boy grew very keen, his senses were more able than anyone else he knew. No one could sneak up on him, no one could ambush him, no one could attack him without his knowledge.
The skills he would need to survive his duty were taught to him in the most extreme circumstances. He would not fail in his task, for if he succeeded, life would be much more pleasurable.

((RPing girl talk, got kicked last time, and for Nailah this is important enough))
Bastet looked at Nailah and watched as Nelphean Brightsabre and Elias left the women alone to talk. Then with a questioning eyebrow, she finger the vial with the powder in it, "What is this? Hopefully something that will help. The tea has helped, but I can never have enough to dull my senses." She rose slowly and walked to her friend, leaning against the counter, "And what do you mean bleeding? The monthly thing? That is what you are acting like." That would make a lot of sense, "Mine just stopped when I became eternal, I am guessing it is different with you."

Nailah looked at Bastet and then glanced at the vial with the red powder in her hands. "I'll tell you after you give birth." She walked slowly to the table and sat down facing Bastet. "When I was given the antidote for my poison, the healer gave me something else as well. It was a vial of purple liquid. She gave me the recipe to make it too. Basically it's like this. When I became eternal my aging process stopped. Yes, the bleeding I was referring to was my monthly cycle. I take this potion to stop that process entirely. And I have been taken it for thousands of years. That way...I could have kids someday." She folded her hands and looked at them swallowing lightly. Dammit...this was so difficult to talk about to a pregnant woman.

Squinting one curious eye at her friend, her ears raised and she asked hesitantly, "Then what does it do?"
Continuing on as smoothly as if it did not concern her too much, she raised an eyebrow, "Oh, so it is like Aura. She takes something to get keep hers gone as well. There are potions for everything, I swear..." She pocketed the vial and watched her friend, "That is smart, I did not have to do something like that. I suppose in essence, if I had not died, this would not have been possible." She bumped her friend lightly and laughed, "Trust me, this is not all it is cracked up to be, and you have forever. We are special, we were born out of the time our soulmates exsisted, or we could not find them and this is several lifetimes later and we found their reincarnates, either way, it will happen, and you will know." She was referring to when nailah thought she had love before, and how she doubted herself now. Moving on, "So...did you forget to take it? Is something wrong?"

Niah shook her head and laughed, "Bastet I seek only to make you happier. The vial is nothing more than a few choice ingredients. It will help settle your stomach and keep you from anymore nasty bouts of morning sickness." She heard Bastet mention her dying and asked, "When did you die? What do you mean you died...?" She looked at Bastet and stood up. "You don't look dead to me. First of what the hell happened? Who killed you? Where was I?" Bastet had died...it kept running through her mind. When had this happened...? Where had she been..?

She laughed and shrugged, hugging her friend tightly. "It is ok. It was a little while ago, and I honestly have no clue where you were. Eclipse killed me, well because of him I died. He overloaded on dark energy. Nelphean was there too, but he was blind at the time. Coban brought me back to life. I am no longer eternal, I can not regenerate, so basically I am mortal." She nodded rather resigned, "And at one point I turned back into a cat, we have not talked in a while Niah dear." It was a realization said in a sad tone.
"I can heal however, and do this thanks to Coban's soul." Quickly she thought of Nelphean and levitated a foot off the ground, then watched a fly buzz by and put up a barrier around it, stopping it like a wall. "You might have been at the village, but I can not say for sure. And thank you for the medicine." She waited for her friend to calm down and answer the previous questions, happy that Niah did care.

Niah stared at Bastet too socked to even return he hug. Everything she had said sunk is slowly and she slowly sat back down. "You...killed...by...Eclipse...?" She closed her eyes briefly and thought about the time where she had run. Bastet had needed help and she hadn't been there. Her friend had needed her and she had been off being childish at the tavern. She shook her head slowly and said softly, "I'm sorry Bastet. Had I been able to help you I would have, but I'm glad you're not dead." It took a minute for her to completely register the fact that Bastet was mortal. She would die. Niah's fingers clenched on the he table knuckles white and felt the room spin. She stare at Bastet a moment then slammed a hand on the table and said, "No! I won't let you die Bastet!" She took a deep breath and crossed her arms trying to regain her composure. She knew Bastet wanted an answer to her question, so she let the previous outburst lay, and moved on. Her fingers relaxed and she idly traced a pattern on the wood of the table with her finger. "I've been taking it for thousands of years but I stopped..." She sighed once and then said, "I stopped for Alex." She sat back and waited to see what Bastet's reaction would be.

Her friend sat down, and she followed. Setting one hand on her arm she smiled at her reassuringly, yup Niah cared, "I know you will not let me die. I trust you. And someday after the pregnancy, we can sit down in the library and research how to fix me, after all it was Egyptian magic that made me like that. And Eclipse did not mean to, he suffered well enough angry at himself for it."
Then she let the answer sink in. Oh, she stopped for Alex...who was no longer around. So she had planned... "And it coming just reminds you that you had stopped taking it, and of the reason, which reminds you of Alex." The motherly cat woman wrinkled her nose at the thought, then was quiet for her friends thoughts or feelings. She knew that the fact that she was in love and pregnant was not helping...but she could not change that. "Maybe...I am just hurting you...and you should speak to someone else." She would be there for Nailah, if she would allow it.

Niah quickly ran through all the things she knew about ancient magic and tried to think of a way off the top of her head to give Bastet back her eternal status. Dammit, she had to do some research. But there were more important things to focus on right now. Sh slowly raise her eyes from the table and looked at Bastet smiling softly she said, "Now you understand why I was so mad at you. It's not your fault but you're right it does hurt. That night, THE night, I was going to...I found out he never loved me. What hurts the most is that in my mind I had imagined the happily ever after. She clenched her hands together and said, "You have no idea how much I wanted his child. I saw it all and I was so damn wrong."

"I have always understood why you were mad at me, but not that is would effect you so much. I would think that this would be proof and reassurance that happily ever afters do happen. I know that I was questioning that when I was deprived love." She wrinkled her brow in thought, digging deep for the right words. "It was not wrong, you were meant to be a mother. You were meant to be loved. It was not wrong at all, but he was. He was wrong for you, and that is just the world playing a joke on you again. In essence, it was good that it did not work out, because he would have starved you emotionally and mentally." In further thought, she used her own conclusions that had comforted her, "Life is about give and take, loss and gain. I lost my life, and got powers. I got my love at the expense of cutting down talking to people as much, and losing some of what I am, which I am getting back, though I do not regret at all." Now to the connection with Nailah, "You lost a love you thought was there, a love that you felt, you gained the love of many others, a love you can be secure is true. Tyler, your friends that have become your family, the men's love which I am still slightly confused about...I can tell you why these loves are true though." Taking a breathe she continued, "When others can see the love that someone holds for you, and they are not an empath, then it is that apparent that it is truthful."

Nailah's hand covered Bastet's and she said "I know that now. I know that I am meant to be loved and people do care about me. I have friends, no sisters really. I consider you so much more than just a friend and I love you dearly. Sometimes I wonder...what would have happened if I hadn't been poisoned. Would I have still met Nadai? Still been loved so much? And then I realize that had I never been poisoned, I wouldn't be here right now. I wouldn't have met you and Aura." She smiled and laughed. "I wouldn't have Tyler." Slowly she met Bastet's caring green eyes with her own clouded depths. "I have always been cursed with knowing other's emotions and feeling other's pain. I used to hate it and deny it completely. But I still felt it. But there is a difference between feeling someone else's love and feeling the love they have for you. I lost that. It seemed that after Alex I couldn't tell the difference anymore. That hurt. I became suspicious and because of it, I couldn't choose. But now...I'm beginning to see again. And most of it is because of you. You have always been there for me Bastet and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even after I said those cruel things to you, I still felt your love. That is the essence of a true friend and a very special person." Nailah stood up and gave her friend a hug, holding her close to her.

"You have also gotten stronger over the years because of those feelings." Bastet nodded then hugged her friend back. She was not sure of the praise that she was being given, she had still done horrible things. Jumping lightly over that topic she had to ask, "So, you can see the real love now? The different kinds of love that we all have to give? Do you know what you will do about it?" She smiled again, "You have lived your life the best you can, and people love you for your general kindness, innocence of a sort, and willingness to help others. Just for you. Tyler needs you, and you need him." With a contented sigh tears came begrudgingly to her eyes, "Damn emotions! Make me cry..."
