I am curious to know of who has the box set. I would love one but they were sold out at HMV. How is the extras disc and gir figurine?

I got it. The extras disc is okay. There are two rather long interviews with Kevin, which is cool if you like that sort of thing (I don't). Other than him, there aren't any other interviews. There's audio for the unfinished episodes, which is nice, but absolutely no storyboards or even sound FX, so you basically have no idea what's going on (it's a real 'use your imagination' exercise.' I had to listen to the whole thing with my eyes shut so I wouldn't get distracted) A very nice plus is the audio sampler from the series, which kicks butt. The unedited version of the Christmas episode probably made me laugh more than the edited one... And the Gir figure is adorable, the same as the normal green mode released except he's painted red.
I was kinda disappointed that there weren't any storyboards with the extras, especially since I heard that they were working on gathering them together so the episodes could make more sense...

You're right, there should be an intervew with Vasquez. Almighty Tallest Purple, how many of the unfinished episodes are on it, and are there really no visuals at all? crying [sorry it took me a while to reply. i've been restricted for a bit] The interview wasn't with Kevin McDonald, it was with Kevin Manthei (is that how you spell it? Ah, well... It's the guy who did the music for the show.) How many unfinished episodes? I really don't remember... I haven't found time to listen to them all, but I think there's about ten (probably less... It doesn't say how many there are on the box...) There are no visuals at all. When you listen to it, it stays on the menu screen while it plays, and a little scroll bar reads the credits for the show (like the director, writer, voice actors, and stuff like that). I was dissapointed because on the websites I went to to check on what was going to be on the DVD, they made it seem like the storyboards were gonna be on there... And the two interviews with Kevin overdid it for me. I mean, musicmaking is great, but two rather long interviews with the same person on the same topic made me fall asleep. They didn't really go that in depth with how he made it (although the most interesting part was when he demoed the Evil Death Bee song...) Other than that, I didn't pay that much for mine. I bought it online really early before the price went up, so I only paid about $25 for mine, which I thought was a pretty good deal for what I got.

I just got it, last copy at Best Buy, because I totally didn't realize it was out though I'd heard a lot of talk a while back about making it. I think the house box rocks!! Its so wonderful! It would have been rather disappointing without the house. And a GIR figure is always nice. I havn't had a chance to watch the DVD yet but it seems vaguely disappointing, the interviews with the person from Media Blasters handling that stuff were very encouraging so I can only suppose that Nickelodeon was uncooperative and they couldnt' get their hands on anything else to add, I too though there'd be at least storyboards for the unfinished eps, and why the heck didn't they have a JV interview?? Yeah, music was interesting, but not that interesting. I am amused that they did manage to get an unedited version of the Xmas special, that's at least something, though in the commentary for the normal one they do talk about the small differences already.
