Hello, I am Andromeda, jlynn518's alternate personality or "mule account". Since jlynn518 is a little soft-hearted, she's left it up to me to teach you the ropes.
- 1. Are you open to attack?
Answer: Naturally. jlynn518 and I are both very productive members of the FFA, or "Free For All" forum (if you don't know what that is, visit the forum here). But first, let me ask you this: would you want to attack a place swarming with fifty-foot-long fire breathing lizards?
2. Am I allowed text talk?
Answer: NO. This is a rule that even the kind-hearted jlynn518 enforces. She is also very strict about sentence structure, but that is something that can be overlooked so long as it is understandable. Something like...

...won't cut it. Use your words, boys and girls. Try being even a little descriptive, please.
3. Is god moding allowed? (Who thinks up these questions?)
Answer: No. You cannot set your dragon on someone and expect them to be crushed. In fact, the rules are strictly dragon vs. dragon and people vs. people. Even in those scenarios, god moding is not allowed.
4. Then I suppose cybering would be out of the question..?
Answer: YES. Gaian TOS states that you cannot take it to the PMs either, though that hardly stops people in some cases. Take your vulgarities to some form of messenger; we're strictly PG-13.
5. Any limits on weapons, technology, etc. ?
Answer: Thank you for asking, and yes, there are. The Weyr itself has only hot water due to the volcanic activity still in place beneath the extinct volcano, and lights are powered thanks to the steam vents located at the mountain's base. Anything more than steam power is void (think Renaissance or Victorian age). They did not have rocket launchers or plasma pistols back then, did they?
6. So what if my character is [insert random species/rank here]?
Answer: You are welcomed to be a vampire, lycan, demon, angel, etc. In fact, it is encouraged, for such combinations lead to interesting habits within a dragon and/or rider. A vampire's dragon might be nocturnal, or perhaps a lycan's dragon gets moody during the "time o' month" when they would change into a werewolf.
However, please note that not everyone knows what a "dregafytesraqiz"(made up) is. If you have made a creature specifically to your liking, insert a description of it, weaknesses/strengths and any other odds and ends you might find useful to know (see "Profiles" for details).
7. Do I need to be familiar with Dragonriders of Pern to roleplay?
Answer: Nope! Everything you need to know is explained here.
8. I want to start roleplaying! What do I do?
Answer: Read up on the world of Dragon's Eye Weyr, then check out the Joining the Weyr/Posting sticky!
