Thats hot

See a while ago when I first had the idea for the cosplay I was using my natural hair. It was close, but not quite at what I wanted and it was already a pain in the a** to do and pretty fragile. (though I came close and I was proud of that)

So I figured, since I'm doing other costumes, and one required my natural hair to be a certain way, a wig would be best.

So it took a long process but it's pretty funny actually. You know how there's those sinthetic 80 rocker wigs, usually spikey and fluffy all around, really huge at the top, then long and straight in the back? I basically did a lot of searching around online, found one of those with a slight resemblance, ordered it, then when it arrived here, I cut all the length from the back, cut it's height down a little bit, then went nuts with the spiking. (But I didnt make the spikes too hard so there could still be a bit of movement and fluff) It's a little on the dark side, this week I was actually coing to experiment on it again by trying to make the color one shade lighter. You know those spray in hair colors? In a shop a while ago I found a thing kind of like that but for natural colors, that isn't cheap crap, looks natural and doesnt drip, has to be fully shampooed to get out. Thats my next experiment...b/c I dont want to dye it after I already spiked it. XD

and literally, shes wearing the same shirt, b/c before they mail it out they wear it and take a pic with whatever other things they make, or accessories they already have, its huge on both of us, its great.

That girl is going to Otakon. She does every damn year. (How do I know this? Real Life best friend *nod*)


I'm not going to Otakon, so therefore, no need to buy cosplay. ...Though I would serious cut my hair really short again just to spike it and while I'm at it wear gloves and a green vest all day. That would be fun. ^_^

Lovely shirt, the only one i have that comes close is either my school shirt or my funeral shirt which i use for my Akabane cosplay. But they're not as long. No i like yours alot *Note to self, must find one

I'm actually re-doing the color of the wig this week, so now that I actually have...batteries for my camera.... ^ ^() I'll probably take a few more pics, updated again.

Two new pics!

Today after I got home from work I cut the wig a little bit shorter, dyed it and re-spiked it. So this is the final look of the wig, (this thing has put me through hell -_-) and yes this time I had my digital camera...lol though the quality on my webcam is pretty good. So no new pics until after that convention. (and yes, I'm even wearing blue contacts)

With the first image some of the outer lines are a little weird b/c my hand shook during the focus.
