It has come to my attention that the TOMCRG community is, how should I put this, not exactly a popular Christian hangout. Now don't take that the wrong way; I don't have any problem with people who aren't religious. But I was just curious as to how many My Chemical Romance fans are also devote Christians (or even Jewish or Islamic) like me.
Now, I know the poll is kind of personal, which is why I'm not demanding you vote on it. But I would honestly like to know what the breakdown of MCR fans believe in. I don't know why, but if for some reason I get in trouble for posting this, I can honestly say I have no idea why. I don't believe there is any problem with discussing religion outside of church. I actually believe it should be more common. Religion shouldn't have to be a touchy subject.
P.S: I'm truly sorry about the option of 'other'. In all honesty, I would love to be able to list every religion on Earth, but I know I would fail if I tried. Please don't take it as an offense if your religion is not one of the named categories.

It's spelled "Wiccan" (the religion is Wicca). Hee, I would know, not that I am one... I never went through initiation (lazy, lazy LAZY), and then I sort of fizzled out of the entire religion thing...it's hard for me to believe that there is someone controlling my life and has the whole damn thing planned out. I'm sorry if anyone sees this as blasphemy, I mean no offense, but what's the point of living at all if that's true?
Hip, hip HOORAY for agnosticism-ness. The belief that I have no ******** clue what's going on in the universe. ^_^

As do i, but it sorta makes sense. Revenge doesn't exactly tie in with the Ten Commandments (i.e., 'You shall not murder')

I'm not into religion at all. Some hardcore Christians, if they were to listen, say, to "Thank You for the Venom" by My Chem, would be horrified. (Ex: "Give me a reason to believe," "I keep a gun on the Book you gave me, hallelujah lock and load," "Black is the kiss, the touch of the serpent's son, it ain't the mark or the scar that makes you run.") The boys themselves aren't into religion that much either, none of them really practice it. And a lot of the band's insignia (like the Virgin Mary with the guns around her head) isn't very widely accepted either.

Augh, I looked up 'Wicken' on Google and it said stuff, so I figured that was the right spelling *smashes head on desk*
Yeah, the 'Thank You For The Venom' thing is true, but, in my personal opinion, it's not really meant as, like, a personal diss towards God, so I'm not really offended. I know that's probably not the kind of outlook my pastor would like me to have towards it, but that's just me and my opinion.

If they wanted to send a diss up to god, I think they would directly do so--I think anything of the sort in their songs is, as they have said, metaphorical.

Ha, I'm presbyterian ((a cool form of christianity)) and I keep my music tastes away from my religion. I wore an MCR shirt to church once and this one woman nearly had a heart attack. sweatdrop Oddly enough, it had lyrics from "Thank you for the venom" on the back.
