Great news. I
finally got my hands on a ROM of the GBA version of Magi-Nation. So now as I play through the game, I'm going to try and provide you with info on changes, and how well the changes were made. Eventually I
will try to organize these better, and condense some of them.

Text in red are the most recent updates.
Some already known things:-Tony gets changed to a different kid named Dan who was designed to appeal to a Japanese audience.
-The graphics got an upgrade.
-It's only in Japanese.
General Gameplay Changes:-Character is easier to control.
-When prompted to choose Yes or No, instead of No being the first option and Yes being the second, they are flipped. Except when saving, then the order is always Yes, No.Gameplay Changes:-When starting a new game, you get two options titled Game 1 and Game 2. What the differences are, however, will have to wait a bit.
-When running through the cave, there aren't as many holes that pop up out of nowhere, and if you manage to avoid the ones that do, you're allowed even closer to the entrance.
-During Eidon's conversation with Orwin, some of the text is automatically skipped, rather than making you press a button.Graphical Changes:-Dan looks very out of place compared to the rest of the characters.
[X] {X}-Korg's face sprite (the thing next to text) looks like an evil battle toad.
[X] {X}-Zet's face sprite makes him look like an idiot, but not as much as Dan's.
[X] {X}-Zet & Korg's actual character sprites look cool. Korg's especially.
-The Dream Creature sprites are higher resolution, but some look better than others.[X] {X} [X] {X}-People who are meant to be taller, actually look taller. I.E. Korg actually looks taller than Zet.
[X] {X} [X] {X}-Eidon looks great in both face and character sprite.
[X] {X} [X] {X}-There's a rock at the end of the starting area where there wasn't one originally.[X] {X}-The locations look awsome with the graphical upgrade.
-The world map looks great.
[X] {X}-Flowers are in flower pots instead of just looking like they're growing on the walls.[X] {X}-Orwin and his face sprite look great.
[X] {X}-Dan still looks out of place.
[X] {X}-Orwins solar systemy thingy in his room actually looks the part.
[X] {X}-You can tell that Pruitt is female.
[X] {X}-When you give the crystal to Pruitt to look at, it appears left of Dan rather than right in front of him.[X] {X}-The guards are standing with their arms crossed.[X] {X}-The items have no symbols next to them to indicate type.
-Poad looks like poad, in other words you know it's poad before you even talk to him.
[X] {X} [X] {X}-There is no bed next to the chest in the inn.
[X] {X}-The fireplaces are lit.
[X] {X}-The flowerbeds in large area of Vash Naroom are smaller.
-Yaki looks more like yaki. His hair isn't green.
Sound Changes:-The theme music got a very nice upgrade, though the GBC music is still good in comparison.
-The music still sounds very nice.
-Music plays when you first enter Vash Naroom.-The battle music sounds great.
-The Vash Naroom music sounds tons better.
-The shop music is a bit more annoying.
-The chests have a creaky opening sound now.
Other Changes:-Dan may have been changed to look more anime-ish, but the three kids daring him to go into the cave still look very american.
[X] {X}-No more "I'm trapped!" message in the cave when you get as close to the entrance as you can or fall in a pit.
-The screen doesn't fade to white before showing Dan falling into the water.
-Eidon and Dan don't do the whole sharades bit, so Eidon's sprite's arms don't wave around.-When Zet and Korg fall from the stairs, Zet lands on the left and korg lands on the right.
[X] {X}-The ring making sequence is even shorter.
-Instead of rapidly hammering the animite, ringsmiths pound it twice.
-When buying, the spots for strength gem and remedy drink have been switched to match selling order.
-When staying at Poads, Dan sleeps in the single bed between the two windows.
[X] {X}-Evu stands to left of the Cat picture instead of on the carpet on the right side of the room.
-When going to meet Eidon at the entrance to Vash Naroom, Dan walks.
-When going to the world map, the character no longer automatically faces the screen.-You can't walk directly in front of the tombstone looking thing on the raised platform in the city's center anymore.
