Like when someone gives you a compliment face to face what do you do?
Personally, I go bright red and kind of mumble a few half words and then run away...
... Ok so I'm not that bad. I do go bright red but I can normally manage a 'thanks' and might be able to continue the conversation.

I raise an eyebrow and say

i tend to scare them off as im a sort of bully but i dont bully o.O yes i dont understand it i have problems speaking my mind.
But when i scare them off i miss the compliments >.> confusing.

really close friends: Yer i know hey? *ego boost* and then a nice thankyou or it'll be just thanks. or i deny it.
other people: I get all quiet and say thankyou and then comes the akward silence ^^;
depends who it is really - like this one guy - who happened to be sleeping on my arm used to really like the smell of my soap.
g: you smell pretty.
me: That's nice >>; get off my arm - it's going to sleep ><
that's what happened *shrugs*
sometimes its blush and run away..sometimes it's not, sometimes it's the ego and sometimes i just don't listen.

I've kind of matured from turning red. I now just manage a thank you.
I read in a self help book once (My mumere's a counsellor, We have them coming of of our ears so I read them for amusement) And it said that you should always accept compliments because people don't say them for the hjell of it. If they make the effort to say them out loud they probably don't want it thrown back in their face.

When I recieve a compliment, I just say "Thank you," and give a small smile while trying not to look too embarassed...
