Don't even bother.
There's nothing to gain from participating in a game v. game war. People have different opinions, let them soak in it for a while.
Granted, though, some of the users in that thread are pretty dumb when it comes to their "knowledge" of FFXI. Obviously the vast majority of the WoW users in the thread never touched FFXI, yet they bash the game based on word of mouth.

confused Very true. But seeing how this was an FFXI-related topic mostly, it just stands on the defense.
FFXI may or may not be better than WoW. I honestly do not know because I've never played World of Warcraft, and probably never will seeing how my computer won't handle it. So all I can do is defend FFXI without comparing it against WoW.
I know quite a few FFXI players who are equally as ignorant to WoW as it is vice versa. But the answer still remains of "don't even bother."
