wow I can abbreviate things OMFG...

Well anywho better get to the point...I wanna know who all is going to these shows to see the DD. I think they really need the support and stuff because apparently the first crowd on the tour was real shitty and was insulting them and stuff. (excuse my language). and you know...I meet only select few who don't like opening bands. Opening bands are what make waiting for the headliner (if you're there for the headliner XD) fun and interesting.

Amanda has blogged about the first crowd both on the DD website and their myspace....it's kinda weird to read because I honestly don't know how someone can get pissed at an opening act unless they really suck a** and we all know the DD don't suck a**.

I've probably wasted space again...
go figure
I'm a waste of paint.

EDIT: I wrote this last night after the concert for my DA journal:
heeey..just got back from the concert..and I'm impressed...very impressed so here we go.

HOW TO MAKE A GOOD CONCERT:
put in 3 cups of cover songs
2 cups new material
2 cups old material
stir it liberally and mix it around a bit
add a pinch of in between talk
and a tablespoon of weird face gestures
and finally a tablespoon of really good improv stuff....
stir it all together again and then pour into a pan
Let it back for 30 or so minutes
and take it out to let it cool for another ten

and then you have a good concert...

just thought that'd entertain those of you that don't really care.
But about the concert...
I'm still in awe at some of it..some of the awe is good some of it bad...so lets get the show on the road.
My mom and I got there early and actually WAITED in line(my dad was never much for waiting in line so we always waited for it to die down...). Behind us were 20-30 people..infront of us a good 100-200...
It was kinda weird.
the crowd was much bigger than when I saw MCR at the same venue...
We got in all good and designated our spot and then I headed down since i didn't know the playing order...I'd heard that the Hush Sound would go first but you never know....
The hush sound were alright...kinda reminded me of Straylight Run without the jarry-screamo-heaviness....
I lasted the Hush Sound and Dresden Dolls's set which was cool.
We waited a bit with a lot of pushing around and I was talking to some Dresden Dolls fans that I would meet again later and you know trying to get a better view of at least Brian's drumset (that's the side I was on)
I was surprised at how many Dresden Dolls fans were there....they actually have a good amount of people in my state that like them. I was surrounded by people who were fans which was good and bad. (most of them were singing along which was kinda annoying..you know?)
There set consisted of:
Modern Moonlight
Hit Me Baby One More Time (Britney Spears cover XD)
two other cover songs of which the artists' names I did not catch...they were both really good songs though
Coin Operated Boy
Mandy Goes to Med School
Half Jack

they extended half jack OMFG...BRIAN IS GOD ON DRUMS...he did improv the whole time and it was just amazing...I was honestly standing there with my mouth open watching in awe. IT WAS AMAZING....I couldn't see amanda so I'm sorry if I'm slighting her...She is a very good pianist but I am more attracted to drums for some reason....
Brian is far the best drummer I've ever seen live...He's right up there with Derek Grant from Alkaline Trio...
their set was amazing...just pure goodness and happiness and craziness and it was just as I imagined it.
They bowed afterword like always....
and then they got off and I headed out of the pit....I got out..talked to my mom for a sec and then headed to the merch booth where I met some of the girls I'd been talking to down on the floor between the Hush Sound and Dresden Dolls sets....
They were nice and we were just in awe...I told 'em I couldn't wait until Dresden Dolls did some headlining shows because that would be ten times MORE AMAZING....
and you think I'm in awe now....
So I got this really neat shirt (it's a simple one actually that just says dresden dollls in the messed up lettering they use....I'll try and find a photo of it lata....I'm wearing it now in place of the sweat drenched shirt I took off when I took my shower.
I lingered near the merch booth for a while and then headed back to where my mom was. I stood there until Panic at the Disco started and then I went down I level to get a better look and plot their band out and stuff....(heh. that reminded me of something that I'll add at the end**)
They're kinda like Cursive meets Tilly and the Wall with some interesting Techno crap added (that I couldn't hear but I knew it was there because of their pianist on the ELECTRIC piano)
I give them these things and these things only:
-They're better than MCR
-and the had a cello which was a big surprised to me....

but still they were much worse than the Dresden Dolls...I hate when opening bands are better than the headliners....
I left after two or three songs because after EVERY FRICKIN' SONG AND WHEN THEY GOT ON STAGE THERE WERE MILLIONS OF GIRLS SCREAMING AT THE TOPS OF THEIR LUNGS...
hurt my ears goddamnit
I mean I scream for the dresden dolls but it isn't like 200 or so people screaming at once all for the same band...
there were like 20 or so people screaming for the Dresden Dolls
and like 200 or so screaming for P!@TD (and most of their fans were girls so all of it was high pitched)
Now for their backdrop/stage props i thought it was weird..it was another one of those moments where i thought a band was using more of their backdrop and stage props and s**t to impress people...
I thought it just as ridiculous as MCR's backdrop s**t....
I think about Alk3 and all they need is two different backdrops and that's it...no fancy light up thing with their name or risers that life them to the sky...it's so simple with them
and I know the dresden dolls are the same
I think some of the popular bands just do so much to impress visually.....and not enough to just musically impress...
it was weird

left, got home, took shower, and now I'm here.
I'm tired...

**heh...that thing reminded me that Brendan (the lead singer of P!@TD) joined both the opening bands for one song and got a better crowd response (scream wise) than both the opening acts...
I thought it was kinda stupid..I understand their friends but I mean it got all the P!@TD fans all riled for nothing...and I go back to the millions of girls screaming thing....
Brendan sung Hit Me Baby One More Time with the Dresden Dolls which I thought was funny....

I'm going to the one on sunday...
XDDDDD
I can't wait...

The concert on Saturday sucked only because of all the P!ATD fans blocking the view.
I could not see them at all. People were pretty rude.
Once again, I didn't get to meet them. Y.Y

Heh. I figured most of the people in front of me were probably obsessive teenagers (damn I just insulted myself indirectly) who got there at like two p.m. to wait at the venue until doors opened and then got right in the front and wouldn't budge...(I figured that out based on height b/c I could see Brian for most of their set.)
heh....i think Amanda had to go to the ******** the Back Row show right after the concert on Sunday and left right away. She had to get from a suburb to the city so you know. I didn't stick around to see if Brian wiggled over to the merch booth or anything but oh well.
People were rude compared to other concerts I've been to. Especially the older, taller folks were much meaner. I mean I went to the Alk3, MCR, Reggie show at the same venue as Sunday and I mean the Alk3 fans were so nice to me because I'm so frickin short. The people at the P!@TD concert were just why bother (i got a lot of elbows in my ribs, gut, and shoulder(I'm an arm rest to some) )..all the DD fans were nice though!! really considrate people!

I like Panic! at the Disco

And The Dresden Dolls, of course

They're at the same level of esteem in my mind

I think you should have given P!atD a chance

They're really good

I'm seeing them December 7th

Anyway, I wish I had known about TDD and PatD back when they were touring together... it would have been the most awesome concert ever

Aww... : (

I guess the screaming, squealing, tone-deaf fangirls tend to ruin things

But if it was a concert of respectful people where you could hear and see everything...

THEN it would be awesome

Yeah....
You seem like a respectable Panic! at the Mindf***(Disco) fan
And rude fan girls and not nice tall people do ruin things...
DD and P!@TD together isn't the most awesomest thing ever...Tall people make my life a living hell...

Well, I think it is, 'cause I love DD and PatD

The only better thing to me would be if they covered songs from Rent accompanied by the OBC (Original Broadway Cast)

I would be in Freckle-heaven

I can just imagine, Amanda and Idina singing Take Me or Leave Me, Brian and Amanda singing Light My Candle, Brendon singing One Song Glory, Brendon and Ryan singing I'll Cover You... just kidding about that last one. xD Butyeah, it would rock my world a million times over

As long as there were no squealing fangirls singing along

I think Panic would promise screaming fan girls unless they had an 18+ show or something

And just so you know at the P!@TD and DD show Brendan joined DD when they covered Hit Me Baby One More Time
it's all over youtube...I think the Panic fans really enjoyed it....it didn't surprise me one bit though...that is the best cover on the face of the earth
