^_^ This is just a nice little forum for Jen and Tawn to have a chance to get 'reacquainted'. They've not spent time together since they were both in their last stages- and a lot's changed since then. Feel free to read- and even leave ((ooc)) comments, if you will. This is just a casual thing.


"You've got to teach me how to drive."

Emelyn, who was just rounding the corner of Keppit's street, blinked back what was STILL registering as surprise- whenever she heard Tawn's voice come out of his fifth stage form, it almost seemed out of place- like some 6"2 teenager had stolen her son's voice, or some'ought.

"I will teach you. But we have to get your learners permit, first."

"No. You have to take me to the GDMV, first." He laughed, and fiddled with his seatbelt. He still wasn't used to being anthropomorphized, either.

Em didn't respond to that- just because they'd pulled up in front of Keppit's house. Tawn undid his seatbelt and leaned over to his mother.

"Don't worry "Mommy". I'll be good." He laughed, and patted her on the head, and leaned over to kiss her forehead. Her son dwarfed her.

"Ha ha. Very funny. Now go scare your cousin. He hasn't seen you fifth yet. Call me if Keppit can't drive you home."

"Will do. Love you."

"Love you too. ...Now close the door, you're letting all the air conditioning out."

Tawn laughed, and shut the door, and waved once as his mother pulled the car back around and drove off down the street. He wondered why she hadn't waited to see if he'd gotten inside alright- but turning, he saw his Aunt, standing in the doorway, and figured that must have been a good indication of why.

"Hey!! Aunt Kepp!!! You shrunk!" He laughed.

Tawn wrapped his arms around his Aunt's neck, and wanted so much to just squeeze her until she gasped- just because it would be funny to see. But he gave her a decent-sized hug, and followed her into the cabin as she spoke. He noticed how much smaller it looked to him- but, then again, so did everything.

"Oh yeah, Mom's turned into a shrimp. It's weird to see- especially since I'm used to looking up at her from waist level. Yeah, I'm here to take Jen for lunch. Mom told me he grew into an adult. That's awesome."

He stood in the inside of the cabin, and was tempted to put his arm up to see if he could reach the ceiling. This was the second house he could remember his Aunt's family living in, and it was strange how much it seemed like a completely different house.

"Oh, and Sarabi's doing well." He said, remembering the last question. "I'm taking her out to dinner tonight, actually. She's making the apartment really look like home. It doesn't feel like were 'squatters' so much, anymore."

Seeing 'his' mug made him smile- it just made him remember when he was a child, and how his Aunt would make him hot chocolate, and put extra marshmallows in it, even when his mother said he'd had enough. An Aunt was a great thing to have- they were spoilers- a Mother without the trouble.

"I've never lived on my own." Tawn said, and hoped it didn't come out sad. "I went straight from the house I grew up in, to living in an apartment with Sarabi. So if Jen does live on his own, I think that's pretty great. ...And I don't know where we're going, actually. I thought you or Jen might have a good idea of somewhere to eat around here. I'm not familiar with this part of Gaia, so much."

Tawn couldn't help but laugh out loud. Anything he tried to do in this body- like laugh softly, always came out in a big booming guffaw.

"Wow, Jen, you look... great. Your markings have really solidified." He nodded thanks at his aunt for the mug, and took a sip. "And Annies sounds great. My treat."

Tawn downed the rest of his cocoa, as well, and licked a bit of melted marshmallow from his lip.

"Thanks Aunt Kepp. That was great. ...You'll have to come see the apartment sometime. There's still boxed laying everywhere, but it's looking more like home." Tawn paused. "Oh wait- you've already seen it- that's where Mom used to live. I keep forgetting that." He turned to Jen, posing his next question to his cousin.

"How are Edgar and Qwirk? I haven't seen those two for ages."

"Er... the Spider Mom?" Tawn blinked, getting to his feet with some reluctance.


((Aaaah... so the Zoolies get too much to handle an' you ship 'em off, neh? Shame on thou. XD))

Jen turns to Tawn and rolls his eyes.... "The Spider, and she's my mom.... the spider is her little red sportscar... the one that's been in the garage since I was little since she couldn't fit the three of us in it... and that look that she just gave us when she mentioned that Bo had the car... that was her thinking about hotrodding it into town like she used to ... " He looked at Keppit.... who in turn jangled her keys...

Keppit just grinned and stuck her tonuge out at Jen again... "Whatever makes you more comfy... " She strode over to the door and grabbed a pair of sunglasses on the way out.... Jen rolled his eyes again... and followed her.... Keppit didn't bother opening the door or the convertable... she just stepped over and landed in the driver's seat... then she turend and looked expecantly at Tawn and Jen ... "I'm not going to be able to wait forever here in this possision you know... "
