Chapter One
Two two had been walking for quite awhile. Kaze had his hands holdings his head from leaning back while the little sprite fluttered in the air. The man was bored and the sprite seemed to be concentrating. A sigh escaped the boy's lips as he halted suddenly.
"You still have not told me why you brought me back from the dead. I doubt it was to benefit only myself," He muttered to the tiny girl. Kaze was growing impatient with the little creature and thought of many times to kill it. It would be wrong ot do such a thing to the one that resurrected him.
"You must do things that I myself cannot. For now, that is all you need to know. Keep walking, I sense the presence of other humans so that means a settlement is nearby." Andra floated in front of Kaze with her eyes squinting and her mind wandering. Her true reasons for bringing back the dead could not be hidden for too long. Sooner or later she would have to tell the boy the truth.
"You might have done a lot for me but my patience can only go so far." Kaze's face held a certain anger as he stepped forward. The sprite only turned to face the boy.
"I hope you know that I can leave you dead within seconds. Your soul is mine, do not forget that," Andra's words were fierce and stern. Not another sentence came from either of the two. Andra was right though, a small village could be seen in the horizon. She gave a slight smile before flying higher into the air. "There," the silence was finally broken, "I will tell you what I need you to do."
"Fine, master," Kaze chuckled at the thought of being a slave to such a small creature. His movement quickened somewhat with anticipation to see other human beings. It had been a while since Kaze was found in a nice social environment. He hoped his was not forgotten but knew it would be possible with such common folk. The village was quite small as well as quiet. Kaze had only noticed a few minutes later that the people seemed to avoid him and the fairy. The children were called back into their homes while the men stood away from the path. They kept their distance but all the men had a look of disapproval on their face. Kaze looked at the sprite who in return came closer. "Why are they like this? Are they afraid?"
"Your weapons scare them, that's all. There is no war so only the patrol are allowed to have weapons in this town," Andra seemed to know enough of this place.
"I see...Well they have nothing to fear from me." Kaze continued on but the fairy stood still in the air.
"There is one who might have to fear. It is part of your mission. This is the village of one of the sacred monks," Andra stated. "Lorithia is the name of this place, it borders one of the Volaju colonies."
"The monks that supposedly lived for a millenia? Are you asking me to kill them for you?" Kaze asked confused and terrified. The monks had lived for so long, they must be stronger by far of Kaze. He stopped and looked up at the sky. "You must be kidding me."
