Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Guns of the Patriots, but... I can't afford a PS3, and now hearing that games might cost one hundred dollars each? Screw you, Sony.
It's only a matter of time before they stop charging money for their products, entirely. Soon they'll want the soul of your first born child.
Anyway, I also really like the Ac!d series. It's methodical and fun. That being said, I can't wait for Portable Ops, if it lives up to the expectations that the trailer evokes.

So true about the soul thing.
Well, since my brother and I are gonna go half on the PS3, it's only be about $300 from each of us. Still a lot, but hey. They won't make PS2 games after they come out with PS3.
And I can't wait for Guns of the Patriots. I definately want to play with OLD!SNAKE.
As for Raiden, I have no clue. All I know is that I am SO mad that they didn't let you go into most of the struts in Shell 2 in Sons of Liberty. That made me angry ... because it could have been so much more fun. I did hate Emma though. Almost as annoying as Meryl .... I'm glad she died.

I literally just started playing yesterday. xd
Sneaking around has never been my thing. I'm a spray-and-pray kind of girl. sweatdrop My boyfriend owns the game, and I put it on the easiest setting and played it that way. I did pretty good. I got past the whole first part...chapter...thing. It was fun. biggrin The only thing I didn't like was that the Russian pregnant chick miniboss had extremely obvious armpit hair going on. xp

I absolutely love the series and am very suprised the topic went dead for as long as it did.
Pretty much I'm with everyone else-- Guns of the Patriots looks really awesome with Old!Snake and Raiden back (most of the people I talk to hate him but I sorta liked his speed and agility compared to Snake, if not his whiny-ish attitude), but there's almost no way I'm gonna be able to pay for a PS3 to play it. So close! Gah!
Since the topic sort of seems dead for extended conversation...What's everyone's favorite boss from any game in the series? Which boss annoyed you the most? Which support character drove you mad?

[I like Psycho mantis, he was awesome (But so hard to beatXD)]
[I hated The End, he wasn't hard, just irritating]
[And, I hate EVA, I thought she was skanky and annoying. I don't like Meryl much, but I definately preferred her (I've not played 2, but apparently Rose is really annoying, too?)]
[I won't be able to buy a PS3 either, I'll have to wait like a year before I can play it T.T]

I am not much into stealth games but I do love the Metal Gear series its pretty much the only stealth type games I can handle being stealth like.

EVA bugged the crap out of me....Rose was annoying, but not majorly so. She could be comparable to Naomi, in that she plays a large story role and gets a few really long codec convos. It depends on personal tolerances, really, and characters there to play up the sex appeal tend to annoy me. The only real exception in the MG series for that was Wolf...I could stand her for some reason, and I'm not quite sure why.
I had the most trouble with probably Vamp in Sons of Liberty, 'cause that auto aim is sweeeeet everywhere else. Not too good with the FPS myself.

One of my buddies showed me that parody, and it's probably the best I've seen. rofl
I think Wolf was more bearable because they gave her a lot more weight into the story, let the character out beyond just her looks. Always I've been amazed at the history and just detail to all of the characters, especially bosses. That's probably what made her more bearable than EVA, who had a rather thin history.
