Well crap! This was on wwe.com and yeah I wish I was lying!

WWE investigating Rob Van Dam and Sabu charges
By Ed Williams III
July 3, 2006

In the wake of being faced with five violations, including drug possession, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, WWE.com reports that Rob Van Dam and Sabu arrived at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. today and immediately went into a meeting with Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

Following the meeting, Mr. Laurinaitis told WWE.com that Rob Van Dam and Sabu will be eligible to compete tonight on RAW and tomorrow night at ECW on Sci Fi while an ongoing investigation is being conducted by World Wrestling Entertainment. The two men will be appearing in court Thursday morning at Ironton Municipal Court.

According to the Ironton Tribune, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were pulled over on U.S. 52, near Patrick Street in Hanging Rock, Ohio at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday night. The two were apparently driving from their performances at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena earlier in the evening.

According to the Ohio State Police, as reported by the Ironton Tribune, Van Dam was initially stopped for speeding. When troopers approached his vehicle, they smelled marijuana and performed a search. Troopers found RVD in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, prescription pain pills. Sabu was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances, according to the OSHP. Both were cited and posted bond at the scene.

Actually in another web site they said that Vince allowed for them to have the drugs but not the pain killers.

the thing about Sabu is that he's getting old, he shouldn't be wrestling too much anymore, I love seeing him wrestle and such but I really am against a lot of my favorite old wrestlers getting hurt

So Sabu was charged $1000 bucks and RVD's suspended
for thirty days. Bye bye belt. This sucks wang... stare
Though I think RVD is over rated.

Probably becuase Sabu is more likely to use drugs to get away from the pain that he probably suffers on a constant basis, past injuries takes a big toll when your older.
RVD isn't as old, he's in WWE for a while now and should have shaped up by now, sure he could have fell into temptation just this once, but taking a "just this once" can easily go back into his drug habit again.

That sounds pretty backwards to me. How come Sabu was only charged $1000 while RVD had to drop 2 belts on consecutive nights and be suspended for 30 days.

They were both busted after performing at the GOTJ, and wrestling with Various other JCW superstars as well as The Insane Clown Posse. (Who Sabu and RVD wrestled with before any of them were famouse)

RVD Lost the belts because we can't have champions not appearing for a month, and according to other sources Sabu offered to take RVD's full suspension as well as the fine on himself if they let RVD off. WWE turned him down. sad

Anyway. Randy Orton was also busted for abusing pain killers as well as tested positive for steroids. Now WWE has a conflict. If they suspend him again they will ruin the Hogan VS Orton at summerslam thingy they have planned. Yet if they don't it will be unfair to RVD. We all know Hogan will win anyway. No way hed ruin a perfect record at Summerslam, that egotisticle p***k.

Dave Meltzer (Wrestling Observer author) had the following to say on his website, http://www.wrestlingobserver.com , about a Randy Orton story that is, or was, making it's rounds on various wrestling sites.

"There has been some sort of an item regarding Randy Orton posted on some web sites attributes to the Observer. The item is made up and has never appeared in the Observer Newsletter. Orton can get into enough trouble on his own without people having to make up stuff on him. Any sites who posted anything owe Orton a major and immediate apology and should pray WWE legal doesn't come after you, because it's going to be pretty hard to defend yourself when you credit something to a newsletter you don't even read."
