Just thought I'd experiment with a little game i've been thinking about called
What Would You Do?

In this game it can range from drama to comedy. I will present a situation (with a fair amount of history) and you will tell me what you would do. You can be serious, or joking, or anything.

First situation:

It's a Sunday afternoon. You just got back from church (or woke up...or whatever) and it's about 2 PM. You turn on the TV and see that there's a sweet concert happening around 9 PM. It's a couple hours' drive, but it's your favorite band. There are tickets still available. The concert in question is being sponsored by a very generous computer company that will be drawing some winners for free laptops/computers.

Your friend then informs you that they will be having a party tonight from 7 until 11. The boy/girl of your dreams will be there. Besides that the music will be good and the person who's throwing the party has a reputation for great parties.

Finally, to further complicate things you TOTALLY forgot that it was your Dad's birthday tonight and they are having a dinner party at his favorite restaurant, which is coincidentally your favorite restaurant as well. Failure to show up will result in a guilt trip.

So what would you do? Concert? Party? Go to Dad's B-day dinner?

You are 18 and have a car and can drive.

Sorry if this is lame. >_< Just trying it out.

EDIT: Of course there's no wrong answer. And you can be totally wacky about it too (which I'm expecting anyways. ^_^) So yeah just have fun.

Actually, given that my s/o is my fiancee, and that family matters trump pretty much everything else in my priorities, I would shelf everything else for the birthday.

Anehway, I would clone myself, send the clone to Dad's party, send another clone to the party, and then go see the band! Then after that, I would kill the clones, but not before I made them give me excruciating details about both parties, so that if I was ever asked about the parties I could give a sufficient answer.

Either that, or I will go back in time using the Great Wil of the Machrocasm from Excel Saga, and hynoptize the guy who's throwing the party to have it next week instead of this week. Then I would go back even more in time, and alter the birth of my father so that he is born one day later. Then I would go back to the present and rock out to the Beatles without any guilt trips. 3nodding

I'm pretty anti-social, so partying with the friends is out. Maybe I'd swing by and tell the crush I'm going to the concert and ask if he wants to go. Then, upon being turned down, I'd wallow in self pity at my dad's birthday party (after all... now I'd be going to the concert alone and that's too depressing after being turned down).

Honestly, I enjoy live music, and driving as well, but I think I would pass on the band, I don't really much like people thrashing about like maniacs, so I'd probably pass on that.

If we're talking about my family specifically, then chances are we'd be done with dinner around six-thirty, maybe seven at the latest (we tend to eat mega early compared to most families, even on birthdays sweatdrop ), so even with after diner conversation, we'd be out another thirty minutes after.

Which, would give me awesome amounts of time to make it to the party, laugh it up, and totally steal the girl's heart. cool


Otherwise, just the restaurant.
