((Because this shop needs liiiiiiife! And Diacyn has quests to complete!))
Diacyn, despite popular belief, was not a single-minded creature obsessed with ninja honor and fighting and large pointy objects.
He also liked stuff that blew up.
Which was why he had insisted Taylor took him to see the fireworks show at the park. So now it was beginning to get dark, and he was perched on top of the monkey bars waiting for the promised explosions. And, simultaneously, attempting to catch and kill the firefly that was circling his head, blinking on and off in a seriously irritating fashion.
He made a sudden grab for the thing, missed, lost his balance, and found himself hanging upside down by his knees from the monkey bars. Uncomfortable, dangerous, and NOT COOL AT ALL. Goddamnit, his shirt was covering his face and he couldn't see anything! He frantically waved to Taylor, but she was too busy falling over laughing to help.
Fan-freaking-tastic.

((OOC Note: I am using kid!Yashi because this takes place after he grows. >_>...and because Kyri did it with Kay so I can too! *POSE*))
"Shiniee! Lookit them blow up! LIGHT ME!" Iamels squeak was infectious. Patrick just laughed and tossed his little son a lighter - real parental, but the little dude wasn't going to KILL anyone. ..probably.
"Take Yashi with you, if you run off." The older man finally retorted, pushing one of his younger sprogglets over towards his energetic brother. Yashi cringed a little, eyeing the lighter and the sparklers that were now in Iamels hand, but nodded. His shoes clinked a bit to catch up - and Iamel grabbed his arm, dragging him away from the parental units and the other kids.
"S'ok, Yashi! You need to learn how to do things AWAY from Shiniee."
"But..tousan--"
"DIACYN!"
The last word was screeched at the top of the woodpeckers lungs, a happy noise, and he released Yashi long enough to dart to the monkey bars. "...it IS Diacyn, right? Right Taylor?"

"It IS me," Diacyn snarled before Taylor could say anything, struggling valiantly with his shirt. In a supreme moment of irony, the offending firefly fluttered between his hands to land on his nose. Diacyn snorted, swung at it, and landed on his head.
"What did you think I was, some kinda stupid human kid?" he sneered, righting himself and finally getting a good look at Iamel. "And who's the- You have FIREWORKS!"
Oh yes. All fireflies and bumps to the head were completely forgotten in the sputtering glow of a sparkler.
"Woooow. Taylor wouldn't let me have ANY."
"Damn straight," Taylor shot back at him, finally having overcome her giggle fit. "Remember when you got ahold of the sodium and tried to blow up the toilet?"
Sure, he was supposed to be Death by Hypothermia, but Diacyn could idolize Iamel in his own small way.
"So where'd the fox come from? And can I have one of those?"
