Hi everyone! Welcome to what will probably be the most active part of the guild: ~*the Lounge*~. This is a place of chatter, friends and fun! But before we start the party just be sure to check this thread out for a reference of stuff that might get you in trouble around here! surprised

Just to be fair, let me go through the general gist with you guys. biggrin
And remember my dears, this is the place to ask questions if you're ever in doubt.

General rules




Yay! A place where we can do what ever we want right? Right?
Well... sort of. Here are just some very light stuff for all of you guys to pay attention when you're off making your threads! We want this to be a place for friends and fun but the last thing we want our Lounge to become... is the CHATTERBOX! gonk




Rules

1- No threads should be made with the intention of hurting/excluding/discriminating anyone:
Those are ebil, bad threads that violate the TOS and will also piss us off and get you kicked out!

2- NO SEX THREADS:
If anyone posts up threads with sexually explicit content that - once again - violates the TOS then they will be banned without a chance of getting back in.

3 - Dating threads:
I know that you're all lining up to go out with me but seriously, those threads are terribly outdated. The whole: I'm looking for a Gaia boy/girl friend is so pathetically OLD the gang and I would wish nothing more then to burn and mow down these threads... however, we will tolerate them a little. Regardless of our pure disgust for these threads we will allow them but will delete them after 30 days.
If you haven't found your Gaia soul mate in that allowed time (and I'm sorry but I can't respond to any of them. It's against my code of the solitary but mysterious writer persona) then don't bother posting it up again! xp There is no point in polluting the forum for something so incredibly useless...

4 - RPs:
We will allow RPs to go on this this thread without a problem.
Bella and JB are even in the discussion of making a sub-forum just for that! Until we have enough gold to put one up, you may use this forum to RP. Just be warned that once we have the sub-forum up, we will probably move all RP threads there. If you come back and cannot find it, then search in the new forum. That's where it will be.

RP threads that have over 90 days of inactivity will be deleted.

That's it for the general stuff but keep reading to see other things we have put a bit of extra focus on.

About spam threads


Now, we enjoy descussion and friends threads, we enjoy threads with.. well, a PURPOSE. But I will not hide the fact that SPAM/BUMP threads make a little part of me DIE on the inside when I see them.

We HATE those threads. If this is the reason you come into the guild... then please show yourself out. You can make a thread that says: I'm bored, anyone want to talk? That's all fine and dandy with us. That is considered a chat thread and we're all about it here in the Guild.

But we refuse to have: BUMP 1000000 times to get 500000 Gold!

That crap will get you a warning then have you thrown out if you ever do it again.

About contest threads/stickies

If you post up a thread with a contest for BOWBS members we might be willing to make that a stickie for the time the contest is run. If it peaks the interest of our mods we think it might be a fun way to get everyone active. smile

We dissaprove of any contests that require a fee to enter though. Those are the only types of contest threads that we really dissallow.

We want this to be more a place of friends chat however, so do us all a favor and try to keep contest threads to a minimum.

Begging/Quest threads




The only way we allow Quest threads is if you also use that thread as a home base for you to chat with your friends. If you use that instead of making 2 threads for your self, then we will overlook it and think of it as a chat thread.

Please be sure to write: "Quest" and "Chat" in the title so we are aware that you have read the rules. A mod might come in and warn you about your actions if you insist on making massive multiple threads.



Begging:
No. No, no no!
I really, really can't stand beggers. If someone comes into your thread and starts begging for things then tell a mod. We will have that post deleted and that person warned.

Most people got as rich as they are in Gaia on their own. I don't see how sucking up to people who have worked hard for Gaia prosperity should have to do anyone any favors unless it comes from their own kindness.

If there's one thing on Gaia I really, absolutely hate, it's beggers.
