The Force System This thread lists all the available Force Powers that characters are allowed to use within the roleplay, as well as the ranks which they can begin the learning of them. This thread will be left unlocked for people to recommend powers they that think should be added, however this is no guarentee that they will be. We would also like to point out that this is not a dicussion thread, so do not talk about other people's suggestions here, otherwise warnings will be issued. The abilities listed in later posts are to be used within the guidelines set out, as well as learning started at their respective ranks. All guild members are asked to keep an eye out for those not sticking to this sytem, such as those using/learning powers not available to them, or not roleplaying the learning of moves. We ask that you please kindly ask them to stick to the Force System. This applies to people using Force abilities that are not on the list, such as talking through minds. Powers not on the lists are not there for a reason. Should they fail to comply, please contact a Moderator. The post order is as follows: 1. Introduction 2. Force Powers Explained 3. Jedi 4. Dark Jedi/Sith 5. Limited Force Powers 6. Lightsaber Forms 7. Reserved

Force Powers Explained Here is the entire list of acceptable roleplay Force Powers, with the exception of "Limited Force Powers", including a description of how each one works. Within the roleplay, they are to be used within the limits set out here. Force PushThis is one of the most basic Force Powers where by, as the name implies, the Force is used to push objects and/or beings. It is used by focusing on the target, often indicated by hand gestures, and moving the "Force Aura" emitted from all objects. For learners, this often requires a large amount concentration even to move the smallest of objects. However, it because more natural with experience. This is a progessive Force move, allowing for higher ranking characters to move larger objects, ranging from a pebble for a Padawan, all the way to fighter craft for Masters. Force PullThis move is similar to that of Force Push, except with the obvious difference of dragging an item towards the user, rather than pushing it away. Again, this is a progessive Force Power, the effectiveness improving with higher ranked characters. Saber ThrowThis ability utilises both Force Pull and Force Push to hurtle the user's saber(s) towards a target. Though a deadly move, this move often leaves the users defenceless due to be disarmed, as well as concentrating on the control of the saber. Due to this, teaching of this move is not allowed until a Jedi has reached the rank of Jedi Knight. Distance, accuracy and the complexity in which a saber can be controlled while using Saber Throw also inceases as a user's rank increases. While Knights may only be able to throw their saber as they normally would, being able to draw it back to themselves, Masters of the Force can sometimes fight entire matches without touching their saber. Force JumpThis move also uses a mixture of both Force Push and Force Pull to lunge a user high into the air by moving the "Force Aura" they emit. Trained Padawans have the ability to Force Jump only several metres into the air, this increases as their rank improves. Jedi Masters, with enough concentration, can leap skycrapers when needed. Force SpeedThis Force Power uses the Force to increase one's combat speed. Attacks with a lightsaber, the speed in which the user can run, as well as their reaction time improve with the use of this ability, however, the time taken to use a Force Power does not. For lower ranking characters, much concentration is needed to execute this ability, therefore making it almost useless in any situation until they progress through the ranks. A Padawan's speed may only increase a minute amount as well. A Knight or Guardian can use the command with only seconds of preparation, increasing their speed up to twice what it normally would be. A Jedi Master could perform Force Speed almost instantaniously, speeding themselves up three fold. The drawback to this ability is that it can tire the user quickly as it is a massive drain on their stamina and should therefore be only used for a quick and certain resolution to a fight. Force ProjectionForce Projection, though seemly simple, in a surprisingly difficult ability to learn, which is why it is left until a Jedi has passed the learning stage. The Force is used to either; create a noice to distract a target somewhere far away, or, as Guardians or Masters can do, create a distraction directly into the mind of a target. If used in the right situations, it can be extremely effective in avoid conflict, or to produce an opening for an attack. Force ConcealmentThis Force Power allows the user to supress the connection for the Force that other Force Users can sence. This too is left until the later stages of a Jedi's life because it can quite easily be abused. Guardians can only supress their connection to the Force a small amount, just enough so they can decive people of their actual connection to the Force, but not removing their trace of the Force all together. Masters can completely remove all connection to the Force so they seem as any other galactic civilian would to a Force User. Affect MindDue to how easily this Force power can be manipulated for selfish purposes, it is limited to only those who have passed the learning stage and have become fully fledged Jedi. Through the Force, and user can trick a target into performing tasks that they would otherwise not do. Though not requiring too much concentration to use when fully mastered, it is often used outside of combat, due to it impracticalness in dangerous situations. The largest drawback to this power is that it does not work on the strong minded, such as other Force Users, as well as certain races within the galaxy. ---- Force HealDue to the complexity of this move, learning is strictly limited to Masters of the Force. By using the Force to influence the midi-chlorians within the body, Force Heal can be used to so cure minor cuts or wounds, neutralise weak poisons as well as temporarily numbing the pain of more serious injuries. This ability is rarely used in combat as much concentration is required, even more the most experienced users. For new learning to this power, large amounts of Meditation are needed for even the slightest of injury. It is normally used if there are no other, more effecient means of medication available. Force ConfusionA move used by the Jedi to confuse someone in what they were doing. Unlike Affect Mind, that only lasts for a moment Force Confused can work for many minutes at a time. Normaly Force Confused will cause a weak minded before to go the wrong way, or simply do something different then before; a very useful move to avoid battle. Improved Force Confusion will allow a Jedi Council Member to make a weak minded person join them, even in battle for a short time. Stun/Destroy Droid
As a Padawan a jedi will learn that the force can be used on droids as well as humans. Stun Droid will allow a padawan to use the force to cause a small short in the droid which will keep the droid or droids from reacting quickly if any time soon. A Jedi Master has come to understand this ever better by using the force to cause a large short to destroy the droid completely. However more people may not know a Jedi uses such a move since it does NOT give a light show as Force Lighting does. ---- Force DrainThe use of this Force Power is strictly forbidden by the Jedi, as it often used by "Rogue" or "Dark" Force Users. By tapping into a target through the Force, the user can draw small amounts of stamina out which are flooded into the user for regeneration. This move rarely kills a target and is more often used to tire an opponent or as torture, rather than to actually do damage. For the most part, the effects of this move are extremely limited, except when used by a well trained Force User, such as a Master. Learners are never taught this move as it can be seen as an excuse not to advance one's training in other areas because they feel any loss can be recovered by Force Drain. Force ChokeForce Choke is a Force power fueled by anger and mistrust. It consists of manipulating the Force Aura round a specific part of the body, normally the throat, and tightening it. As the name suggests, it is used to choke enemies, however, it can be used to restrain enemies, but without causing any damage to them. This move is generally only effective outside of combat situations, as a great deal of concentration is needed to locate specific parts of the body, especially smaller parts like the neck. Force LightningForce Lightning is one of the most recognisable Dark Side Force powers. It is used by using pent-up rage, over both long and short time periods, then releasing it in the form of blue electrical energy from the finger tips. For lower ranked characters, it is only released as a small zap, at most numbing certain limbs of the target for a few seconds. As the ranks progress, the power also increased, eventually being able to burn the organs of enemies. In some cases, the Dark Lord of the Sith can use this power to such a extent that they can create Force "Storms" to strike, and quite likely kill, multiple targets at once.

* Limited Force Powers From the list, the "Limited Force Powers" are marked by a " *". These Force Powers are the most complicated of all the other Force Powers, and often most effective. However, their complexity means that they take, on average, a decade to learn. In most cases, it takes several years of dedicated study to even begin to see any viable results from the learning. Due to the amount of time needed to learn these moves, it is only permitted once one has achieved the highest rank, as they have the time for the intense study period, but also by request from their superiors. A Force User is only allowed to learn one of these Force moves. Force CloakForce Cloak is, as the name suggests, the manipulation of the Force to bend the light around the user, making him temporarily invisible to others. Though seemingly very useful, it has several serious draw backs. Firstly, a large amount of concentration is needed to execute this move, especially at the early learning stages. Therefore, only those who have truely mastered it can do it while in the heat of combat. Along side this, the user can only move at an extremely slow pace, slower than that of an average walking pace, even for those who have mastered it. Finally, the concentration exhausts the user quickly, meaning then can only stay concealed for a matter of seconds, and requiring sutible recovery time, meaning it has little use other than for short moments of stealth. Force Cloak also does not allow the user to become invisible to heat-sensitive vision, as well as laser-trigger traps. ---- Battle MeditationThis power allows the user to temporarily inspire vast amount of troops, allowing them to fight at maximum effeciency throughtout the duration of its use. Moreover, it also causes opponents to lose their will to fight on, giving a massive advantage, almost guarenteeing victory for the user, in large-scale battles. However, these effects are only present with one who has mastered the ability, which takes decades. The first visable effects from the training of this move, which still takes several years, is to simply improve the mood of those around the user. The drawback to this move is that an almost silent area is needed so the user can fully concentrate which, without, the move does not work at all. Also, during the period of meditation, the user is completely vulnerable to attacks, due to their immense amount of concentration leaving them completely unaware of their surroundings. This means that users of this ability often take a sideline seat to battles. Advanced Force ProjectionFurther training into Force Projection can, after years of learning, can lead the user to create an inanimate copy of themself, lasting a few mintues. Much like Force Projection, it is used to confuse, lure or distract an enemy, but it much more effective at doing so. At the early learning stages, the copy may only last several seconds, even after hours of deep concentration. However, after mastering the ability, it many only take a few moments to produce the duplicate, although, it cannot be done in the heat of a battle, due to the lack of focus. ---- Force CrushForce Crush is an advanced version of Force Choke, but with much more devastating effects. Rather than simply targetting one area of the body, Force Crush grips everything, including internal organs. As the name implies, all bones and organs become crushed, causing instant death. This ability does not take as long as others to learn, but still requiring several years of intense practise. However, the use of this move is highly discouraged in large battle situations because it leaves the user open to attack during the "crushing" period. Destruction orbThis is quite possibly the most powerful Force power that one can learn. By using mass amounts of stored energy, built up over a long period of time, the user can discharge the energy, oftening using an arm or hand, in the form of an energy ball. The effects of the move cary greatly, depending on training, as well as the total amount of energy stored. It most cases, Destruction Orb is not fatal, but still causes serious burns and wounds upon a target, but it has been known to completely desintergrate a target. However, there are many dangerous drawbacks to this move. Without the proper training, or by using too small of a discharge area, such a just a finger tip, firing the Orb can wound the user, to the extent of destroying a limb. Also, due to the tremendous amount of power used in this attack, it cannot be used more than twice without a long resting period. It is rumored that Emperor Palpatine began development of a machine to enhance the strength of Destruction Orb, to the point of planetry destruction, without any harm to the user. However, his work was never completed.

Lightsaber Forms The Lightsaber is a powerful wepon, but it must be mastered. There are many different types of forms to learn with the light saber. This will list the styles we use here. Please note that you must be a Jedi or Dark Jedi to learn these forms, and they take a LONG time to master, so you will not Master it in one day of roleplay. Infact, almost no one should have mastered a lightsaber form, unless you really have earned it.Please Note: Within the RP, people are asked to refrain from simply posting the name of the stance they take. For example : "Mr. T. takes up the defencive stance, Soresu." It is asked that people actually describe how their stance would look, such as feet and hand placements. Form I: Shii-ChoSometimes called the ideal form, Form I used horizontal side-swipes and parries made with the blade of the lightsaber held upright to push the point of an enemy's blade away during a side-to-side attack. If the attack is a downward slash aimed at the head, Form I simply reversed the motion, with a horizontally-held lightsaber being moved up and down to deflect a blow. All the basic ideals of attack, parry, target zones, and practice drills were created with the Form I style. Form I, like the other forms of lightsaber combat, includes the following basic techniques and concepts: Attack: a set of strikes aimed at different body zones Parry: a set of blocks to thwart any attack in the specified body zones Body target zones (1, head; 2, left arm; 3, right arm; 4, back; 5, left leg; 6, right leg) Training drills called velocities Form II: MakashiIt is described as being very elegant, powerful, and requiring extreme precision, allowing the user to attack and defend with minimal effort, while his opponent tires himself out. The form relies on parries, thrusts, and small, precise cuts—as opposed to the blocking and slashing of the other forms. The blade manipulation required for this form is very refined and requires much focus, but the results are extremely potent. However, as ranged weapons such as blasters come into play, the advantages of this form become less useful, but this form of lightsaber combat is still potent against multiple opponents. Form II emphasized fluid motion and anticipation of a weapon being swung at its target, allowing the Jedi to attack and defend with minimal effort. Although many Jedi historians considered Form II to be the ultimate refinement in lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat, it was dropped in favor of Form III combat when blaster weapons became prevalent in the galaxy. Known practitioners: Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus, Sev'Rance Tann*, Asajj Ventress*, Komari Vosa*.Form III: SoresuForm III, the most defensive of all of the forms, was developed to counteract the advancing blaster technology throughout the galaxy. Most opponents that the Jedi faced during the prequel era carried blasters. Soresu utilizes motions occurring very close to the body to achieve near-total protection, efficiently expending as little energy as possible to execute these moves. [This technique exposes as few target zones on the body as possible, making a well-trained practitioner nearly invincible. Unlike Form II combat, which was developed to work against another lightsaber, Form III was most effective in anticipating and deflecting blaster fire. It stressed quick reflexes and fast positional transition, in order to overcome the rapidity with which a blaster could be fired. It was essentially a defensive technique, emphasizing the non-aggressive Jedi philosophy while reducing the exposed areas of their bodies Known practitioners: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Barriss Offee, and Luminara Unduli.Form IV: Ataru It emphasized acrobatic strength and power in wielding the blade, attributes which were frowned upon by many traditional Jedi Knights and Masters. It found a niche among the eager padawan learners of the time, who believed that the Jedi needed to become more involved in rooting out crime and evil and eradicating it. Ataru relies on wide slashes, acrobatic proficiency and an open space for the Jedi to fight. One basis for the acrobatic nature of Ataru is that lightsabers can damage with brushing, light strokes, rather than hard chopping motions. Ataru practitioners are at a great disadvantage if fighting in a small area. In dire situations, Form IV practitioners use the Force to aid in their acrobatics. Spinning, jumping and running very high and very fast, masters of Form IV are sometimes only seen as a blur. In order to achieve the acrobatic prowess, amazing reflexes and physical punch of this form, a Jedi Master would focus on the Force, letting it flow deeply throughout his entire physical being, even allowing him to overcome the limitations of old age, or poor conditioning. Due to its aggressive nature, it is an effective form to use against single enemies; however, it leaves the user open to attacks from multiple opponents; therefore, it is wise to use Ataru in a duel, but not in open warfare. Emotional control is key, as is letting one's emotions fly free. This is not a contradiction, as displayed by Yoda's firm control despite his screams and grunts. Known practitioners: Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Sidious (Palpatine trained in all of the forms), Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura,Form V: Shien / Djem SoBy comparison, Djem So demonstrated an even higher level of physical strength and aggressive moves. So it is believed that Shien and Djem So both fall under the category of Form V, much like Juyo and Vaapad are both Form VII, with Shien better at dealing with blaster bolts and Djem So better at blade-to-blade combat. It can be described as a mix of medieval swordmanship and kendo. Embodying the perfection of the idea of counterattack, Form V maintains its existence through having sufficient defensive skills, as derived from Form III, but channeling defense into offense. While Form III combatants effortlessly deflect laser bolts, Form V practitioners excel at redirecting the laser bolt toward the opponent. This simultaneously defends the user and efficiently injures the opponent. Also, it utilizes Form II's parries, allowing the user to parry the attempted attack, and counter it. Form V is also different from Form III in the fact that Form V practitioners believe that the best defense is a good offense. It has already been observed that Form III users simply deflect blaster bolts and parry lightsaber attacks until the opponent makes a fatal mistake. Form V practitioners take the near impenetrable defenses of Form III and press the assault, using wide, sweeping blows in an attempt to overwhelm the opponent with brute strength. dedication to the power and strength necessary to defeat an enemy characterizes the philosophy of Form V, which some Jedi describe by the maxim "peace through superior firepower." To some Jedi Knights, Form V represents a worthy discipline prepared for any threat; to others, Form V seems to foster an inappropriate focus on dominating others. The aggressive philosophy of Form V is the source of many a Jedi's disapproval. Known practitioners: Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Aayla Secura, Plo Koon and Master Vrook.Form VI: NimanThis combat discipline is often called the "Diplomat's Form." Form VI attempts to balance all elements of lightsaber combat, combining the Forms that came before into a less intensely demanding combat style. The result is that the users' skill in each individual areas of lightsaber combat is only moderate, making Form VI well-suited for diplomats and consulars, as they can spend their time training in the areas of politics, negotiation and Force mastery instead of combat training. It can be affectionately referred to and known as a sort of "Jack of All Trades" form, with mastery of no one aspect of combat, but competency in all. Many Jedi skilled in Form VI techniques had already spent at least ten years studying the other Forms, an aspect that many Masters felt was too demanding of the Jedi's time in regards to its benefits on the battlefield. However, if properly mastered, Niman would undoubtedly be a highly effective lightsaber form, especially if one manages to find the time and dedication to study its whole curriculum, effectively covering practically all of the preceding forms. Known practitioners: Cin DralligForm VII: Juyo / VaapadIn the Jedi world, the form known as Juyo (numbered #7) was an oddity for millennia. It was utilised by Jedi Master Mace Windu, who used it to create his Vaapad fighting style. The most challenging and demanding of all forms, Form VII requires intense focus, high levels of skill, and mastery of other forms. However, Vaapad borders on the edge of using the dark side, as it channels one's anger and darkness into the attack— it may be related to Japanese shinkengata. Only Windu's mastery and concentration of the light side prevents him from succumbing, which is why Vaapad is rarely practiced and very dangerous. Vaapad goes beyond being a fighting style as it becomes a state of mind and a power. The state of mind requires that a user of Vaapad be allowed to enjoy the fight and be given over to the thrill of battle and the thrill of victory. The power of Vaapad is simple: it is a channel for one's inner darkness; and it is a reflecting device. With strict control, a person's own emotions and inner darkness can be changed into a weapon of the light. Vaapad is able to take the hatred, anger and rage of the opponent and reflect it back at him. In his fight with Palpatine, Mace Windu used Palpatine's own speed and hatred against him, reflecting it back against the Sith Lord and using it as his own power. Vaapad is at once a form of lightsaber combat, a state of mind, and an actual tangible power. To use it required great mastery, discipline and, above all else, purity of heart and spirit. Vaapad users are intense, focused, and introverted; there are even signs of pent-up hostility in them. Known practitioners of Form VII: Vaapad: Mace Windu, Sora Bulq, Depa Billaba, Quinlan Vos. (partial) Juyo: Darth Maul, Palpatine/Darth Sidious, Kavar.

What Lightsabers Can I Use? Not everyone can have just any lightsaber when ever they want. A padawan who isn't trained to use a double-sided saber could very simple remove their arm in a second. Below is a list of the types of Lightsabers you can make based on how far you are in the roleplay. JediJedi Padawan -Training saber - Single Blade saber made durring training
Jedi Knight -Single saber that was made as a padawan -Can train and make new saber to duel wield -Can train and make double-side saber
Jedi Master -May train to use single, double or two single saber -May requestion the creation of new saber type, must ask a mod
Grandmaster Jedi -Unlimited in the type of saber useDark JediSith Apprentice -A single saber that is made to prove that they are a Dark Jedi
Sith Knight -Single saber gain in training -Can train and make double-sided saber -Can train and make another single saber to duel wield
Sith Lord -May train to use single, double or two single sabers
Sith Council Member -Unlimited in the type of Saber use
