Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

This defines citizenship in the United States has having been born or naturalized there. Since a fetus is not born, and naturalization takes longer than nine months(source needed here), the fetus is not granted Constitutional rights.

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

This can further aid abortion. People have a liberty to what goes on inside their bodies. Since the 14th Amendment states that no state can deprive any citizen of liberty, that means that illegalizing abortion is unconstitutional, as it is depriving women of the liberty to what goes on within their bodies.

As useful as it would be if a pro-lifer tried to use it against you, this isn't very valid. Why? Because if I were an intelligent pro-lifer, oximoronic as it is, I could easily come back with, "It's a freaking ammendmant. It's called that because it can be AMMENDED."

As useful as it would be if a pro-lifer tried to use it against you, this isn't very valid. Why? Because if I were an intelligent pro-lifer, oximoronic as it is, I could easily come back with, "It's a freaking ammendmant. It's called that because it can be AMMENDED."
However, it currently has not been amended. By that logic we shouldn't be able to use any legal information in the debate because it can all change, when currently we use legal information to support the laws that keep abortion legal.
