Quote: Romans 6:23 (New King James Version) New King James Version (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. "the wages of sin is death", this is a generalization, in layman's terms, doesn't matter what sin you commit, you are in league with the second death. Quote: Revelation 21:7-9 (New King James Version) New King James Version (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things,[a] and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
a. Revelation 21:7 M-Text reads overcomes, I shall give him these things. b. Revelation 21:8 M-Text adds and sinners.

I agree. No sin is worse than theo ther and all consquences of sin is death. Despite which two commandments are held the highest. Beacuse even if I love God and my neighbor and but I lust after someone else, I'll still die. so therefore none is worse than the other.

As simple as that. Also, I'm just saying if you only had one choice, to keep hate or lust. Keeping both would be sinning but if you kept hate you couldn't love God so hate would always be the one not to keep. That's all I'm saying, if you get one or the other than choose hate to get rid of over lust for the reason that with hate you can't love God.

Outkas Teen. I don't mean death as in our fleshy bodies dying. I mean us not living eternally with God. The same punish that Jesus received is suppose to be our punishment for sin. (Read my sig) but because he died for us we dont' get that. But if we choose to stay in sin despite what we know we don't get to go to heaven and live eternally with God, we get our consquence. And both are sin. So no matter which one I choose I still get the same wage. I can hate my brother and still love God. The same way I can be a homosexual and love God. The same way I can be a murder and love God. My views on what God wishes and wants can be distorted but in my mind and prespective still love him. Now if I hated God it doesn't matter if I lust or not because honestly I wouldn't care, I mean I would be hating the guy. Who cares how the hurt someone they hate? No one I ever met. And if they care that meant they really didn't hate them just hurt by them.

To a degree I think I may just owe a certain someone an apology. Quote: 1 John 4:8-10 (New King James Version) New King James Version (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. One is never better than the other, however. Quote: 1 John 2:15-17 (New King James Version) New King James Version (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. Do Not Love the World 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. It is by that love we would not lust. There is a cross-over. If I love God I will not lust, if I lust I do not love God <--> if I love God I will not hate, if I hate I do not love God. The same love which would keep one from hate would serve also against lust, and visa versa. Love in and of itself in regards to God is obedience. Simple logic appears to explain nicely enough.

No sin is worse than the other except to blasphemy the Holy Spirit. Matthew 12:31,32. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32- And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven unto him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven unto him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. But yeah no sin is worse than the other in God's eyes except this one. That is what I think.

You either refute what I have provided with reason and or scripture, or you concede. I gave you the verses in the other post. Matthew 22 The Greatest Commandment 34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." That's one commandment saying love is most important. Then this next verse says you cannot love God and hate your brother which I'm saying hate is a worse sin according to these two verses: 1 John 4:19-21 19We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. So by hating your brother you can't love God and saying you love God would also be lieing which 2 sins are worse than 1. Another point.

OutkasTeen Then by not hating you could give up lust, but you can't give up hate by not lusting. Did you just say, 'if you don't hate you are able to give up lust, but you can't give up hate by not lusting'??? Well, hop to it, burden of proof is on you, since you're making the statement. By the way, that last little bit, the stuff after the comma of what you said..., duh.

There is however seven things the Lord hates mentioned in Proverbs, which I could provide. All sin merits death, though when pertaining to situations in life one sin can cause more of a problem over another.
Though this does not make one sin worse or better than another spiritually.
Think about it, you are saying 'this kind of death is better than that one.'

Firstly, how'd you underline my comment, I don't remember underlining it (or maybe I did.) Anyway's, If you give up hate it would be easier to then give up lust, but if you gave up lust, hate would not be as easy to give up. That's what that comment was saying and if you can't understand that then get a dictionary. Now, I have found the quote that I was looking for from C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity. Here it is:
"That is why a cold, self-righteous prig who goes regularly to church may be far nearer to hell than a prostitute. But, of course, it is best to be neither."
So the sexual sin isn't regarded as being worse in this quote now is it. And the bible did say loving, not hating your neighbor was the most important commandment, twice. Proving my point, it is best to be neither, but work in your hate before anything else.

No, because if you ask for forgiveness and try not to do it again, regardless of whther you actually stopped, you will not die, but still have eternal life. We are still imperfect after we become Christian, no matter what in this life we are imperfect, but God forgive us.
