I wanna know a little more about everyone, so it'd be nice if you could post a message with a little bit about yourself, if you want to!
I'm a 21 year old Puerto Rican and I just graduated from art school and spent all summer without wanting to do anything, so I joined SAWGWG because Reis force- I mean, because maybe that'll help keep me motivated!
Some artists I like: Alphonse Mucha, Hyung Tae Kim, Kasai Ayumi, Natalia Pierandrei, Nivbed, and lot more. I'm also a big fan of vintage advertisement posters.
Some stuff I like besides art: RPGs, manga, reading, writing, fashion, Dance Dance Revolution, Cirque du Soleil, ROOT BEER.

Alrighty...*ahem*
I'm a 17-year-old highschool senior (WOO!) highly interested in going into the illustration field, but more specifically sequential art (of any form, be it story board, comic [books], childrens books, etc). My absolue dream would be to go to SCAD, but I am content to go to somewhere closer to NJ, which is my homestate. I am american born, but of Nepalese-Indian hertiage so my going into an art career is a bit odd. I chose to join SAWGWG because I simply want to find topics and subjects I normally don't draw enough.
My favortie artist at the moment is a manga-ka, but that's mainly because I never really looked at multiple forms of art before...but I'm in the AP Art History class at my school so that should change. ^^
Outside of the art field...I tend to be a normal teenager. I slack off emensly (I honestly don't think you'll find a teen lazier then me- really) and tend to hang out with friends too often. But I do enjoy things like fashion (in both appriciation and design) and I work heavily at my school's stage crew.
Extra: I love the itunes commercials, vanilla coke and acme orange and cream sodas. xD

Hi. I'm 22 years old and I live in California. I've lived here all my life and I have been drawing since I can remember.
My true passion right now is realistic sculpture in any medium but I also enjoy painting and drawing.
I'm in college right now working on getting my bachelors degree and then I will get my masters and possibly my doctrate.
I'm planning on becoming an art teacher for college level and I am looking forward to teaching many different sculpture classes with different levels and mediums, but I also plan on teaching some drawing and painting classes. Later in life I would like to become a judge for art shows and I would also like to become an art restorer.
My favorite artists are the four giants from the rennaissance, Leonardo, Rapheal, Michelangelo, and Donatello. I also enjoy Jan Van Eyke.
I love fruit punch minute maid and cherry pepsi, well, and mug rootbeer.

Leigh will have her college degree in teh Spring. Leigh will go to grad school soon. Leigh will be POOOOR her whole life, and is currently on old hag of nearly-24. WEEP.
Leigh has had too much caffiene today. She is also obsessed with Kazuya Minekura, Blame, VNV Nation, Assemable 23 and Radiohead and likes popsicles a lot. Sold her soul for one, actually.
Leigh actually doesn't need motivation to draw cause she is a WORKOHOLIC!!!! But she's also very bad at pushing her art in new directiosn, so she's using this as an excuse to force herself to try new things. ^__^

Also known as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles smile Heh, I have to wonder if i ever would have been as interested in art history if I had not been a TMNT fan as a wee one. Yay, VNV and A23. Though I am rather tired of VNV, i still love A23. Can't wait for the new album. I am Ilfed, some know me as "Steve". This "Steve" is a starving artist with a tuition to pay. Luckily I work at an internet cafe now, It will help me buy another GBA to replace the one stolen from my car a while back. Ummm.... I'm 20, currently a senior at an art college. I hope to work in the video game industry. I collect Ghostbusters merchandise, I read comics and watch a lot of movies. I'm not good at introductions... I'm a horrible procrastonator. My motto is "There's always tomorrow". My favorite artist is probably Dave McKean. Caravaggio would be my favorite classical artist. Favorite comic/manga artists would be Hiroaki Samura, David Mazzucchelli, Frank Miller (even if only for his work on the Dark Knight Returns),, and there are manymore but i'm too lazy to continue this list. go me. The first controller port broke on my Gamecube, this makes me cry (see-> crying ), my warranty is expired, and nowhere nearby sells the proper bit to open it up, now i must wait for one to arrive in the mail. I am sad... but i think i've rambled on long enough

I am Teioh, age 20, currently a student in Art Institute of Vancouver's Game Art and Design program.
born in mainland china. spent most of my life growing up on Guam (kudos to you if you can find it on the map).
The type of art i do is mostly anime/game/illustration type.
my first most artistic influences are Akira Toriyama and the Gainax artists.
my favorite master artists are: Durer, Rembrandt (who 'cosplayed' til he was broke), John Singer Sargent, and N.C. Wyeth.
my favorite game/anime/cartoon artists are: Ayami Kojima (#1 favorite), Bill Waterson, HTK (moreso for his line art than his colors), Ryu Fujisaki (mangaka of Houshin Engi), Ahkihiko Yoshida (FFT, vagrant story, ffxii), and L0cke (i admire his mind)
I am 6'0", male, blood type O, and housebroken
My favorite food items are: Curry, chestnuts, sloppy joes, sushi and tea
My favorite colors are: green(#1), red, brown, black, orange
I dislike the colors: blue, purple, pink
I also dislike: eatting fish, parties, sports tv/games, cars, and wearing shorts.
I enjoy: drawing, painting, video games, clay modeling/sculpting, animating, CGing, flying kites, making cosplay costumes/props, reading comics, watching good anime, watching good films with swordsplay, construction toys, thinking late at nights, laying in my sleeping bag, and engaging in various illogical behaviors.
I also like: both cats and dogs equally, along with raccoons, ducks, ferrets, and rats.
and lastly, my weaknesses are: Laziness, lack of social skills, resistence to common sense, indifference, and lack of motivation.

I'm Noora ( but you can call me whatever you want ). I'm from the far away land of Finland ( you know, Santa... reindeers ). I'm 20 years old though I very much like to behave like I was younger.
Lessee... I'm a loser *snicker* I'm stuck studying Information Technology blah blah blah with teens because I kept screwing up my school-life. But it's okay as some of the 17 years old boys on my class are eyecandies for my old and weary eyes *grin*
Oh yeah, that brings us to the subject that I'm obnoxiously prepared to throw in sexistic comment about both females and males most of the time. Although I prefer on picking on males more as girls are sex-symbols already anyway.
My sense of humour is bad and perverted, and I usually just try to make myself laugh. With luck, someone else will smirk as well.
Oh yeah, the art-side. Er. I started doodling when I was a kid. I never stopped. I luved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and then I luved Biker Mice From Mars and those things inspired me to draw more and more. I found anime and manga at some point and that inspired me to draw more and more. My fave artist used to be Masamune Shirrow but now days it's Kazuya Minekura and Kanon Mutsuki ( who draws yaoi-doujinshis of Minekura's Manga, Saiyuki ) because I've developed unhealthy affection for bishounen and yaoi X3 And yea, when I say "yaoi" I truly mean just that.
Hm, other than that, I really don't know anything about art. Comics and animation are my subject and my knowledge on those is rather vague too.
I am very lazy ( truly ), immobile, geek, nerd, dumb, annoying, easilly annoyed and stuff like that. But hey, if you ever got a problem, I can always listen. I usually don't tell things forward. I'm also a very *very* curious person.

Hey everyone! My real name is Teresa, I'm 19 and from Australia. I'm studying Computer Science, but my real loves (and what I hope to do eventually) are web design, graphic design and illustration. I started drawing seriously about three years ago now, and... I really sucked then, although I thought I was good at the time sweatdrop I like to think I've improved since then... but I like to look for new ways to improve my art, hence me joining this guild 3nodding My style fluctuates constantly, and I like trying out new things. I'm Leloi... my real name is Gretchen. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life and I'm 29. I am married (9 years) and have a son (21 months). I have a bachelors in music education that I'm not sure if I will use yet. I have to wait for the babies to grow up and go to school before resuming my education.
I started my own soft sculpture business and so far have one pattern. My domain name is waiting for me. I'll set up the online catalog when I have a few more patterns ready to sell (I have two, one finished, the other still being tested).
I've been drawing most of my life but I got away from fine arts when I decided to major in music. Every once in a while I find myself sighing and saying, "I wish I could draw..." And then I have to kick myself and say, "Wait... duh! I CAN!" I just forget I can draw... how odd is that?

I always have the problem that they look at my ID, look at me and say, "This must be your sister, right?" My sister is four years YOUNGER than I am. I'm still carded. I guess I just don't look 30 yet... yay.
