Well, my idea for posting a thread for the new RPs to be proposed, etc., seems to be highly ignored, so I'm just going to post this as a thread.
Okay, so I have another potential idea for an RP, based on my "Mutat" story that was, like so many other things I've written, never quite finished. I'm not sure if this will work as well.
The idea is that there's this group of people who have the power to control a given element in this life. These elements are: wind, shadows, water, fire, stone, and emotions. Because I'm, well, the way I am, I might expand this.
Anyways, at each given life, this entire set of people can only control their relationship to one of these elements, though they can manipulate these in relation to those who cannot use these powers as well. However, whenever one of these people touches another one, they both remember something from a past life when they could control another element and gain the ability to control this new element. They can interact with this memory to learn this control, and feel the emotions, etc. that occurs in this process. They will also have a new name for this different life. They are, however, rare, so this doesn't happen very often.
This will, then, be divided into several possibilities.
Edit: Go me and my ability to make things overly-complicated.
Anyways, basically, there will be the power users, and the basis of this will be an unusually high number of power users coming in contact with eachother and thereby remembering past skills.
Actually, I really just want to be Ninapico Lucentia. That's why I want to do this. xp
So, yeah. I'm not completely done thinking this out, but if people were willing to sort of add their own stuff to it, it might work. Otherwise, I can think about it some more. But whatever.
Oh, I forgot to add, that some of the less experienced power-users generally use their powers by making self-sacrifices that can also be used as weapons, like Calypsa's Blood Sword in that thing I posted in like, December, and the loss of blood that lets her fly on air.
It is unlikely that anyone will be a more-experienced power-user at first.
Edit again: I think the name of this would be better as "Mutat", which, in Latin, is the present, 3rd person singular, active, indicative of "to change". In other words, it can be translated as he/she/it changes.
I'm thinking that that it should start as those with control over emotions. any preferences otherwise, though?

I thiink it's all well and good, but even the newer users aren't very active in this sub-forum, so we shouldn't expect it to take off like the first two did. Anyways, I like it.

Yeah, I have gotten that it generally isn't as active anymore from anyone, and that's fine and all. I just get bored an impatient.
But, we've got one person. Awesomely fantastical.
I'll post my profile, just for the hell of it.
Name: Ninapico Lucentia. Gender: Female. Height: 4'9" Age: 17. Race: Unknown. Skin: medium dark, like a consistant tan-colored. Hair: Long, flowing, and simple, with just a part in the center. Very dark. Eyes: Dark, with long eyelashes. Profession: Dancer. More specifically, she works in a strip club, against all reason, and really only manages because of her subconscious ability to manipulate emotions and drive everyone who sees her crazy with passion, as she has not met any other power-users. Background: Orphan. She was named for how small she was (meaning they meant "Nanopico", but decided "Ninapico" sounded better. They didn't know about zepta or yocto). She is normally called Nina by those who know her, but secretly wishes to be called Pico, instead. She rarely talks, though, so no one really notices. (This is one of the things that would come through by being touched by a power-user). She works where she does because she finds it ridiculously easy.
It should here be noted that, in a world where the power-users can manipulate emotions, they would be the only ones who can both seduce and resist eachother, though they can only resist eachother if they notice enough to put up their own emotions.

If I were to become part of this roleplay, I would want to be a supervillian. I would be both fat and unattractive, have been abused, and will aspire to take over the world through seducing all men to my will, so they can't control or abuse me anymore (this character would have been raped, abused and domestically abused by her spouse).
She can use emotion manipulation to make herself look different in other people's eyes and then cause them to utterly devote themselves to her.
What do you think?

That's an interesting angle, Oni. That's quite the scarred persona.

That would be good, Oni. Besides, we need a villian to be trying to intercept and steal/manipulate their powers, or else, it wouldn't be very much fun. biggrin
Besides, I had this little idea in the back of my head of one (or more) people having started a group to try to use the power-users for evil. So yeah, that would be good.

((Well, I'm starting this, and hoping others catch on. biggrin ))
Location: Amethyst, bar and strip club.
Ninapico danced. She didn't know how, and she didn't know why - surely, her dances weren't as seductive as so many others' - but she nonetheless attractive the most crisp singles bills as she moved along the bar. Each hand reached for her, just missing, as she whisked away the money, cleverly, subtly. Or perhaps they always just gave it to her. That was another thin of which she was uncertain. All she knew was that, at every night, she came off the job with much more than anyone else.
Yet, try as they may to use her in photographs for advertisement and other things, they could never catch that same irresistable appeal on any film. Her dances seemed mediocre, and hardly arousing, and her physical appearance, while perhaps cute, was nothing so stunning and lust-inducing as it seemed it should be. It was most incomprehensible, for as they looked at the pictures, they saw perhaps the same things - yes, it must be thoroughly the same - but, it seemed so very different. Was the person they caught on film truly the girl who could elude their lustful hands driven crazy, but only until she was out of sight. Their thoughts never lingered on her afterwards. But what was this?
Pico did not know what. But she knew that, whatever delusions those around her suffered upon seeing her were cast away by film. It was no matter, though, for as long as she was in their presence, they were hypnotized by her exotic, indescribable beauty, unable to see what their true sense revealed, unable to mask their mind from the image.
Pico, however, had never felt the same in return. For anyone.
