And what time is wasted? It takes half a second to lock them.

There is what, one or two threads locked? One of the posters wasn't a new member it was an old one who hadn't been around, and yes, the other one was new, but I think I wrote a fairly pleasant response and explained my actions.

The rules are there for people to follow...the mods can't exactly attach a neon sign to the obvious now can they. And I know that I do my best to explain WITH kindness why the thread is being locked and where they can go and post, and I think most of the other mods do *and if they don't, they'll need to start because some people aren't aware of the rules and therefore have no idea they just broke a rule* we just don't go up and lock it without explaining our actions, so give us a tad more credit, m'kay?

I think that ALL OF THE MEMBERS should take a good look at the rules because it's not just the newbies who are making misplaced threads/spamming stare

Oh, and I suggest that in the future Untamed, instead of making a thread just to get attention on your view of the situation where a mod's decision is concerned, that you simply write your feelings over at the Suggestion Box, where feedback from members is appreciated and not misplaced.

Who's deleting the posts in the suggestion thread?? I know I certainly haven't. Do you have any specific proof that this has happened, or are you merely speculating? If you or anyone can come to me and tell me, or if one of the other mods wants to fess up, then we'll deal with the matter accordingly, I assure you Toasty, on my honour. No one is supposed to be deleting suggestions, and I didn't know of anyone deleting them, so if that's the case, my deepest apologies Toasty neutral

Announcing that you're back leaves nothing for conversation, it's just a chance for people to get attention and we're trying not to show favouritsm over the old members from the new members, because I'm pretty sure that if a new member posted that he/she were back from where ever, that he/she wouldn't recieve a big reception like a prominent member, so we're nipping it in the bud. And it would be kinda unecessary to make a thread just for people to say "Yay, I'm back"...but I guess you don't think it is.

If you really have a problem with this, then please PM me and we can talk about it. I'd rather not let this discussion get bitter and let the term 'stupid' continue to be used towards our methods of keeping this forum uncluttered. We're doing our best, a little thanks and gratitude would be nice.

Yes, it certainly would. But I don't see much more discussion coming from this thread any time soon.
