Well, from advent children and the game we know that Jenova is referred to as "mother", and in Advent Children right after the conflict between Sephiroth and Cloud and that big explosion, we see Aeris put her hand on Cloud's head and he calls her "mother"
she replies, "Mother, Mother how many times have I been called that already?" (and Zack goes, "It means ur loved.")
it would make sense wouldn't it? because of Geostigma, Aeris would have been able to manipulate the Lifestream and protect the world from the comet, and that's why the little girl in the last FF7 game FMV in the hotel runs outside, because she could feel Aeris's presence, and Aeris was in the lifestream
????

The "comet", as you call it, it the result of the spell Meteor, called into exsistance by Sephiroth using the dark materia. Just a minor correction. I'm a little too obsessed with this stuffish we call Final Fantasy. sweatdrop

ok, no aeris is not jenova!~! do't even think it!!
ok, she gets called mother by kadaj because he confuses her with jenova, and who knows why cloud calls her mother, he was just probably calling her that because kadaj did. but aeris is not jenova evil

No, nononononononoonono. Aeris and Jenova are two seperate entities. If Aeris was Jenova, I would kill my fat sister... I don't know why, I just would.
But Aeris can't be Jenova. Just because she's called a "mother" to some people, that doesn't mean she's Jenova.

She was called "mother" by Kadaj because he believed that Jenova would be the one to greet him into the lifestream, into the afterlife. But, it was Aeris, who, through being an Ancient, was able to manipulate and control the lifestream. Aeris was called "mother" by Cloud because of the gentle touch he received upon dying. He was immediately reminded of his mother from the care and gentleness of the touch, but it was just Aeris being Aeris.
Aeris is not Jenova.

I'm a little too obsessed with this stuffish we call Final Fantasy. sweatdrop Yes comet is the weak spell you can cast. on to my piont, no she isn't jenova, I think the geostigma was caused by a reaction between the large amount of lifestream, and the warm air where it stopped meteor, because aeris fixes the geostigma with some of that awesome water, and you don't hear alot about geostgma anywhere else in the ff7 world. Kadaj and Cloud merely thought it was jenova at first.

Remember how she wondered why everyone was calling her mother?
I'm pretty sure Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo didn't mean her when they were saying mother.
Because they had the Jenova stuffs in that box remember? And Kadaj turned into Sephiroth with it...which was weird. sweatdrop
