((For Sophie, Marshall, and Iona, unless otherwise permitted.))
The cafeteria was quiet, as usual, and Sophie picked around what food she knew she enjoyed until her plate had enough substance to constitute as lunch. Quietly, she found a table, poking at her food until she felt the need to eat. The day was entirely too boring for her tastes, as was the flavor of what looked to be an enchilada. So, putting her chin in her palms, she sighed, wondering if this would be a good time to break out the showtunes and practice a dance routine or two. It would certainly be a good way to get her exercise, and an even better way to keep her mind off of the eventual transformations.
((I'm supposing Sophie's still human, unless you'd like to do it otherwise.))

The past weeks had been terrible. Sick with the worst cold a person could imagine. Now that the bug was gone, Iona was feeling well enough to leave her duplex. She felt terrible that she hadn't been able to contact anyone in a while. She still had that date to make up with Marshall at the cliffs....but for now, good food was what she need in her stomach. She walked past Sophie and filled her plate with good portions of chicken breasts and salmon filets. Afterwards, she'd try to find him.

Iona wouldn't have to look far, as Marshall stumbled into the cafeteria with a half-asleep look on his face. He had stayed up all night drawing Sno Cone comics, probably the only thing keeping him sane, and now, he needed two things: Caffeine, and Macaroni and Cheese.
Walking by both his #1 fan AND his semi-some-what love intrest, Marshall slugishly towards the soda fountain. "Mrugleshinglemible..." he grumbled, his cup overflowing.

Sophie laughed, shaking her head. "I don't speak 'Comic Artist', Marshall, you'll have to translate." Standing, she stopped him from filling his drink any further, and ushered him to the table she had been sitting at.
"Rough night, eh?" she asked, sitting down and helping herself to what was left of her food. "It's been really quiet today, so I guess just about everyone has a sleepy syndrome." She paused, taking another bite.
"That, or an anti-social syndrome."

Iona hadn't heard a word that was spoken. She'd been humming a little tune in her head that her mother used to do to her. It always made her feel better in the end.
She looked for a good spot to sit down and enjoy her meal....and then she saw Marshall....with the girl she'd passed by not too long ago. At least I don't have to search for him and I can meet someone new.... She strolled over to their table. "Mind if I join you two?"

"Murgle snuff...Errow Sophie..." Marshall said as he sat down next to his freind, eyes half-shut. They imidatly snapped open, however, as he heard a familiar voice with a thick accent:
"...OH! IONA! Uh...Um...Uhhh...Um...H-How are you doing?" he said, wishing that he had bathed, shaved, or, y'know...changed cloathes.

"No problem: of course you can join us."
Sophie watched, amused, as Marshall reacted to this new woman. So, was this is little Island beauty? At the very least, they knew eachother, and Sophie figured a proper introduction was in order.
"It looks like you know Marshall, but I don't think we've ever met. My name's Sophie: resident comic fan, showtune enthusiast, and fainter." She smiled, holding out a hand for the girl to shake. Sophie didn't know to treat the girl differently because she was royalty: to her, it was just a person in a yellow dress.

"Thank you very much." She placed the plate down and giggled when she heard Marshall stuttering. "I'm sorry for not seeing you.....I was sick these past couple weeks, but I'm doing quite well now."
She turned to Sophie and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sophie. I am Iona. Um...a ballerina, piano playing princess?" She wasn't quite sure why Sophie's hand was extended towards her. Was it stiff? "A fainter? Is that what is happening to your hand?"

"Oh, its okay! Don't be sorry about it! I mean, you were sick and all, so no ones fault." he said cheerfully, glad she was okay...Up until she introduced herself.
Marshall winced, knowing that NO ONE outside himself would believe that there was a Princess on the island. Let alone one that didn't know how to shake hands.
Please don't get offended, please don't get offended, please don't get offended... Marshall thought, biting his lip. For some reason he felt like it was his personal responsibility to take care of the Princess. Thoughts of Gaius calling him a knight came to mind, and he took a mental note to smack him for that later.

Sophie blinked, confused, and looked to Marshall for an explanation. A princess? Was she some preppy girl or something? Either way, she lowered her hand, shaking her head as she looked back to the girl. "No, usually people shake hands, y'know? As in a greeting or something?" She let it rest, rubbing her arm sheepishly with the opposite hand. "And, yeah...fainting is pretty much falling asleep when you're not supposed to. It happens to me: medical condition, y'know?"
Sophie was rather tempted to ask Marshall if the girl had been stuck under a rock since birth, but she figured that was better asked at a later time, just the two of them.
"So, Iona...how long have you been here?"

Iona suddenly felt like a fool. She still had alot to learn about the real world and its many customs. She brought her right hand to rest at the side of her face and was so tempted to slap herself.
"Falling asleep at any given time? That sounds terrible!" Iona wasn't sure of what else to say on the subject and looked down at her plate of food. She nudged it away an inch and decided to answer Sophie's question.
"Um....I'm not quite sure how long. I have probably been here a couple weeks....maybe a month or two." She'd lost track of time with everything that has happened around her that she didn't even know what today was. She gave a weak smile and glanced back down.
