My subject isnt what I feel..^_^
Where I am from it seems that now days it's "not cool" to be a Christian. Which makes me mad. I know there are people that dont believe and stuff and thats ok with me. But people at my school and in the area think we are "crazy" because we believe.
Me and my friends like to go to Denny's and have coffee and chat. My friends cousin came along as well. But the whole time we were there he just kept showing his tattoo of a cross with a red slash make through it. I also have a friend named Jesus and he is christian and so is my boyfriend who was there also. This guy kept talking to us and saying to my friend,"I dont believe in you Jesus." It got really annoying.....so when he went out to smoke the 3 of us put salt in his coffee ^_^ I know thats mean but it kept him quiet the rest of the night.
Do any of you guys know people like this or have towns like mine?

This is just satans way of trying to make us stray from our walk, by putting us under peer preassure. Because he takes advantage of the human longing to belong. So he tries to decieve us. All christians have to go through this, just remember this, if they chose to ridicule you,so be it, but when your in heave reaping the benifiets, and they are reaping what they sow, they'll realize how wrong they were. So dont let it gt to ya, just be proud of it, "Ya, i'm christian...so SUE ME" see, and when they start talking trash, tell them Jesus loves them and walk away. Usually shocks them.

When people find out Im Christian they get really shocked because I have a different style of clothing and whatnot. That's really funny and yet immature at the same time rofl You could have used the opportunity to ask him why he doesn't believe and talk to him about why you do. It seems like most of the people I talk to have a totally wrong idea of what Christianity is all about. Just because someone says they don't believe, ask them why, because they may have misconceptions. That's sad you live in a town like that. I'm glad to hear you have such strong faith regardless of your surroundings!

These kinds of people are EVERYWHERE no matter what city or town your in they are going to be there. You have to try your best to be patient with them and show love. Even though you we're having a laugh putting salt in his drink was a wrong move. You should be loving towards him no matter how annoying he is.

playing the devil's advocate here but there are ALOT of "radical" christians out there that like to shove their "christian view point" down peoples throats. or radical christians that blow biblical ideas out of proportion beyond what it really is.
with christians like that....no offense but that gives a WORSE view of us...and views like that spread around quickly and gives us a bad view. which makes less and less people liking us.
i get christian stereotyped all the time. was talking to a friend of mine and he said "do you like gay people?" and i said "not the people themselves, just the sin they do" and he said "sin? what are you christian or something? you think we're all going to hell?"
crap like that...i HATE that. but yeah i think you get my poin ^^;

John 15:18-25This is nothing new or unexpected. Being sons and daughters of God we are expected to not be all that excepted in a world that we witness against. But stand firm, for God shall reward us in heaven for our perserverence.

i c where u are coming form, and ppl dont really respect my beliefts, being me and mum r the only christians in my home, but i odnt really bother anymore about what other ppl think about my belief, lol, but my life certainly isnt boring because im a cristian lol, i always got summit to do or deal wit, so i dont actualy hav the time

Do any of you guys know people like this or have towns like mine? Although God told us to be the salt of this world, He definitely didn't mean pouring salt in non-believers' coffees. Bad person! Tsk tsk! But on a more serious note, yes, it does happen often, and we must do our best to hold our anger. One does not need to be angry to show disagreement. We must be civilized, and allow the Spirit to speak through us. We may not see changes in the non-believers around us immediately, but doing them harm will certainly drive them away. It's ridiculous how being a Christian is no longer accepted in our society, when Christianity should be the core of it. Since God created all and we represent God, should we not be the ones to shape society? Often times Christians shy away from arguments because our beliefs deviate from the secular norm. But we must not do so. If Christians don't speak up for God, no one will.

A lot of my friends call me a fanatic! I laugh and thank them. Sometimes the uncool really is the coolest thing. I mean ever though that being unpopular is actually the more popular thing going on. So I guess if you look at in that way, unpopular is actually more popular then popular. Get it lol? I know I can be confusing.

Of course it's not going to be cool or popular to do the right thing, when is it ever? You have to sacrifice in order to speak for God. Christans are not going to be looked upon with kindness since the world is more corrupt with Satan now then it ever was, in my opinnion. In the end whenever we are in Heaven, knowing we lived the best life we could, and that we tried to help other who wanted help, see the right path, then will it be cool then? Probably not, as stubborn as people are today, stare but that's just my saracasum.
