I just adopted my egg, Meriah, yesterday. I will fill in her about her life until she is hatched and can use her own journal. Today she has been sitting here and the tension is great. I can't wait until she hatches and I see her beautiful face. I will spoil her death once she has hatched!

Meriah hasn't been doing much since she is still an egg. I saw her shake once a little but that is about all of the movement from her. Meriah seems to be growing a little each day. I hope I get to see her soon!

Entry #3 April 23rd
I can't believe I didn't do an entry when Meriah hatched yesterday! So here is the story:
I was sitting in the corner reading The River Between Us when I heard a little crack. I sat up quickly wondering what it was when I looked down and saw little Meriah's shell cracking. I couldn't believe it. I threw the book down and sat really close to her. I wanted to catch every moment of this. She popped her eyes out first, big black ones, that stared right into me. Then the bottom half of her shell came off but the top part stayed cushioned on her head. She glanced around looking at her surroundings. I tried to pat her a little but she jumped away quickly. I sat back in the chair so that she could be comfortable and then come to me.

It was a couple of hours later and she looked a little less scared. She bobbed a little towards me and sat at my feet. I gently put down the book and sat again in front of her. Her mouth moved a little but nothing came out. I comforted her and said, "Its fine, Momma is here." She gentled right down and fastened herself in my lap.
I couldn't believe my little Pud has already hatched. She has the most beautiful eyes in the world. She still is a little shaky but I think it was just she had to get use to where she was; she was used to being in that cozy egg.

Meriah is finally warming up to her surroundings and is adventurous. I took her to Pud Park but I ended up seeing no one there except one or two Puds. Since it was so empty I took her back home. She has been enjoying my company and I have been reading to her a lot lately. I want her to enjoy reading as much as I do.

We went to Pud Park again today. Two other puds were finally there so Meriah could meet some new friends. They were cute little puds named Chi and Mimi. Meriah was very shy at first but I think she warmed up to them. I left her alone so I wouldn't intimadate her and talked to the other "moms".

When we got home later that day, Meriah was pooped. She fashioned herself on her plushy couch. I saw her droop her eyes and then she awoke suddenly. She shook a little and then off came her shell that was on her head. Meriah looked up at her head and then smiled. She glanced my way and then hopped over to me. I guess she was showing me, "I grew up!" I patted her and told her she could go to sleep now. Instead she started climbing the walls of the living room!
