See, the only problem I have with Stuart Townsend as JC is that he's just... not the French debonair type. I mean, he was awesome as devil-may-care Lestat, but I'm just not so sure about JC...

Very true. I mean, he obviously hasn't changed much, (he was just in LXG as Dorian Grey). Black curls, blue contacts, a bit of accent training, and I'd have to agree.
Now, the problem with Brad Pitt is that he would be an amazing Edward (watch Meet Joe Black, where he LITERALLY plays Death blaugh ), but he would also be a great Asher. The whole long golden hair, tormented emotions deal. If we could find a better Asher or a better Edward, he'd be great.
Then again, the two have never appeared in the same scene that I remember... eek

I think Julianna Margulies would make a good Anita. She matches the description and looks a bit like the Anita on book covers. As for her acting. She's been in ER, Ghost Ship and a few other movies who's titles escape me at the moment.

Edward Norton as Edward! I think I have the right guy.. the one from Fight Club.
And Anita is one of the women from Third Watch, can't think of her name. She played a detective that took along that woman's partner with her occassionally because he practically begged her and she was a bad cop kinda. She has the look and she has that kinda personality but I just can't think of her name, dammit!
Selma Hayak is the one most commonly used in the pictures up on Anita Blake sites though... But would she be able to be rid of her accent if it came down to making a movie? Anita doesn't have that accent.
Jean Claude... Too many candidates that just wouldn't fit the role. Same with Asher.

That's exactly how I feel! Edward plays the perfect sociopath and he's just.. such a gorgy actor. *_* Also, that's how I feel about Selma as Anita. Anita is also very pale. As icing on the cake, I just think Hayek is too feminine and fragile to play Anita. I always picture Anita as more of a 'stockier' and heavier, in the ahtletic sense. *cough, hack* I have to admit, Mariska Hargitay really reminds me of Anita. Granted, Mariska is a little tall for her, but if they can make Dominic three feet tall for LoTR, I'm sure they can fix three inches. ^_^; Maybe it's because Mariska has that real bad-a** look to her. Athletic, but not bone-skinny. (For those who don't know, Mariska plays Olivia Benson on Law and Order: SVU.) Then again, I'm biased. I am a huge L&O dork.

Hmm...I see where you get I think her name is Chavez, I'm probably wrong, as Anita. Very close... Hey, was Brad Pitt in Fight Club? Was he the guy that was like "Welcome to Fight Club" in the previews or was THAT edward nortan?

There are so many characters in the series, its amazing how many actors there would have to be...
Another point someone made was that they kind of hope that an Anita movie never comes out, because think of what they would cut from the plotline to 'make it fit' crying
