Would you play Eberron?
Well, duh, it's DnD, of course I would!
Uh... maybe, I don't really know what it is, though...
Hell no! The thought just makes me cringe. *brr*
  Are there Elves?
This is gonna get me some gold, right?
You're not a DM, are you?

"Okay, so I was wondering, since we have both the Grey Hawk and Forgotten Realms campaigns going on, why hasn't anyone tried their hand at Eberron. Now, if I was a DM, I'd do it, but I'm really not (unless you want me to try), and I was hoping someone could do Eberron. I really need a campaign to use my Changeling character, but there's no where to do that, and I don't want to join another guild to do it, so I'm a little out of luck here, aren't I?" crying

"Is it just me, or does this guild seem somewhat... how should I put this?... inactive?" confused

I got suckered into helping with a Girl Scout camp until Friday... and it's killed my energy and spare time. My games will all get rolling at top speed soon I hope!!!!

I don't have any of the Eberron books, but I know a lot of players looking for an Eberron game to play in. You're going to end up with like 5 warforged I bet.

Anyway, I'll get ahold of them and point them here wink

"Oh, okay. But do you think that I could DM? Do you have some vague faith in me? If you do, say yes, and I'll do my absolute best! And, yes, 5 Warforged because they're so freakin' cool!" dramallama

"But, if I could, I'd rather be a Shifter, Kalashtar, or Changeling." domokun "Warforged are so tanks... literally."

"Oh, and don't worry about the books. I'm willing to spend my time to type the essentials to make an Eberron character. It'll maybe take a day or two (depends on my work schedule), but I'm sure that I'll have it done eventually." sweatdrop

I have a bunch of Eberron books, so if you really need someone to DM, I can do it... However (there's always a however, ain't it the truth) I haven't faithfully studied these texts, so I am not a complete expert on the subject of Eberron. It would take me a while to really come up with a good campaign. I'd gladly play in a Eberron campaign though, and I wouldn't even be one of the new races ^_^

edit: I have the books in PDF form so I could distribute the important ones among the players if need be smile

Out of curiosity, are there such things as half constructs/warforge?

There is a half-golem template, but the process of becoming a half-golem can backfire and become deadly.

"Wow, you're so amazing! (But where did you get the books in PDF form? And which ones?)" question "And you don't have to worry about making a campaign. Just start with something small and work your way from there, using character actions as a a guide to the next adventure... or were you going to do that already...? (Besides, it sucks to write out a whole dungeon/adventure and the players don't even do what you wanted them to. But that's what happens with an open-ended game.)"

"Besides, in the campaign setting, it states that Sharn, the City of Towers, is an ideal starting point. Just throw in a little adventure out there (like in the back of the book) and just as the aforementioned actions in the previous post. If you want me to, I can try to start a campaign. I've got so many great ideas that I want to try out. And because I have to DM's guide, I've studied the basics and all that, so I might as well give it a go. But if you want to DM, then I'll gladly step aside and let you, since you obviously have more experience than I do." ninja

You see, the reason I wanted to start an Eberron campaign is because:

1. The elements used to make that campaign are pulp action (and something else),
2. It's use of magic in the world astounds me, such as the Lighting Rail (which is similar to a train), airships, and other "modern" elements,
3. It uses v3.5 DnD rules.
4. It revolves around Dragons (i.e. Dragonmarks, Dragonshards, The Dragon Below, Argonessen, etc., etc...),
5. The "muddied" alignments (such as an evil Silver Dragon or even a Paladin Bugbear or Yuan-Ti. And it's funny because it's even encouraged.),
6. It's the most fun you'll ever have playing DnD.
