Howl gracefully made his way through the forest, trying to find the other side. He was still looking for his castle, yet he wasn't looking very hard. At the same time, he was looking for the perfect mate to take home to his castle with him. He slowed his pace down to a crawl and gazed around the area. "No wonder why not many Nequus come here," he commented to himself.

"Don't you know that flying is the only way to travel? Or is it that you are too fat to even get off the ground?" Came a voice from a huge branch above the bright colored Male below. "Or is it that your scared?" *a small giggle came from the strangely colored female Jala. Opening her wings she took to further into the forest. Just like her, to tease then flee. Shiness had cluched her courage for the moment and she wished not to be seen. She landed in the thicket not far from the male, looking back she soon trotted forward, only thing that could be heard was her soft laughter.*

Howl flung his head back to see who was talking to him. He pinned his ears back against his skull and fluttered his wings under his coat. "What makes you think I have wings in the first place," he said cooly. He quickly pulled his wings under his coat, causing it to conceal the 'useless' wings. He heard the soft laughter from all sides of him and he pawed at the ground nervously. "Reveal yourself," he demanded loudly.

*Aldora kept her distance infront of him* "Your going to have to come and find me. Unless you wish to remain in the darkness forever." *Prancing forward a Arabian Onyx Mare cleared the trees into a good sized clearing. The light shinning down upon her white back, great feathered wings folded to her sides.* "Come on tough guy, don't tell me that lil' ol' me is that scary."

Howl arched his neck gracefully as he gazed around the area, trying to find where the voice was coming from. "I'm not scared. It is just a little weird to be talking to air," he comment bluntly. Slowly, he started to turn his body around in a tight, graceful circle until he spotted something shimmering in a clearing about 50 yards away from his current location. Canting his head to one side, he started to wander towards the clearing, uncertain of what he might find in the center of it.

*The ground trembled a little as Aldora had come and brought her face close to his as he came closer to the clearing inwhich she was at.* "Want to run that by me again?" she asked glared up at the male that was a little taller then she was. *Her wings opened and flapped a couple times stirring up dirt and leaves as she reared kicking at the air between them.* "I think I'm more then air you flightless folly." she huffed before turning and walking back toward the center of the clearing to get a drink from the stream that ran through it.* "Males, so irritating at times." She muttered to herself.

Howl took a few steps back and gazed at the other Nequus with a shocked look on his face. The voice that he had thought belonged to another male turned out to be female. He canted his head to one side and jumped back a few inches when the other Nequus kicked her hindlegs out at him. Shaking his head, he stood next to a tall tree and turned his gaze down towards the ground.

*Lifting her head she looked back at him out of the corner of her eye.* "You going to stand there in solitude or join me?" *she questioned soon shaking her head stepping into the stream and let the cool water wash over her obsidian colored hooves. Black tipped, white tail flicked a little as she headed over toward the other side of the clearing to give the male his space.* "If you need anything, I'll... Be over here."

Howl nodded his head slightly at the female's comment and he slowly lowered his body down on the ground. Usually he would be tossing his love out towards the female Nequus, but today his attitude was a little off. sighing, he began to nibble on a patch of grass, wondering what to do.

*Stomping the ground she watched the male from where she stood.* "You always this antisocial?" She asked thinking that it was only she that hated being around others too much, hence the reason for the distance. *Sitting on her hanches watching the male that was grabed in clothing, strange for a nequus, she wondered who this male was and why he his his wings under.. Whatever it was that was draped over his back like a blanket. Shaking her head she flopped onto herside and rolled onto her back looking like a foal again as she wiggled around scratching an itch on her white back, hooves flailing in the air.*

Howl gazed at the female for a few brief seconds before turning his gaze back down to the ground. "No, not always. I'm just...lost and confused. I lost my way back to my home and I don't know what to do," he said in a soft voice. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that the female Nequus was looking at his clothing with a curious look on her face. He fluttered his wings under his coat slightly and smiled slightly at her. "Like it? It's the newest style."

*Rolling back onto her belly she snorted blowing small specks of dust out of her nostrils as she raised her head high and looked like she was looking forward, away from him.* "Looks too restraining to me. How can you fly with that stuff on? I honestly don't see how you can..." She muttered shaking her neck tossing her white mane about her neck trying to get the dried grass out of it. "As for getting home, I have no home. I never stay in one place too long to consider having a home." Shaking her head she laid it down on the ground sighing a little, her back lowered a little to show it had been a large sigh.

"Fly? Why would I want to fly?" he asked her curiously. He made a vow to himself that he would never fly again-not after what happened when he was a foal. He noticed her sigh and he nodded his head. "I used to have no home, too. That was until I met Calcifer. He made a home for me, but now I've gone and lost it," he told her sadly.

*Looked at the male and snorted again shifting her weight around and got back to her hooves. A tremer shoot her entire body as grass flakes fell from her coat and back to the ground.* "Flying has it's advatages, like you could spot your home better from up there." She said as another tremer shook her body, feathers ruffled and stuck out every which way before flattened themselves out, tail twiched and snapped softly like a small whip as she stepped back at the stream that seperated them.* "Hey gloomy bottoms, You got a name? We don't even know eachother, I'm Aldora, if it's of any intreast to you." *Aldora watched the male again as she stood in the sunlight, basking in the light as it warmed her back and made flies gather annoyingly.*

Howl shook his head slightly as he gazed up at the sky. "I made a promise to someone that I would never fly again and I am going to keep that promise," he said in a soft voice. He turned his head around slightly and watched the female walk into the sunlight and he canted his head to one side. "Howl," was all he said in reply to her question. Slowly, he rose to all fours and slowly approached her, his coat-sleeves waving slightly in the light wind.
