i've never heard that phrase before, what does it indicate???

perhaps it means he's as popular as plastic is. We use plastic in our everyday lives....we also use Gackt? I duno

Indeed. I noticed that in the lyrics of Vanilla also and wondered over it (being obsessed as I am XD) so I think that it has something to do with like......being perfect.........because plastic surgery makes you look better right? (cept sometimes not *dies* michael J, Why??) PLastic barbies are perfect (cept for when you torch them with gasoline and matches XD)....etc etc, ya? So I think he's refering to the way that plastic things are perfect (sounds wierd...but true?), so he's, "cool, like plastic."....
O_o....kinda strange if you ask me, but sure gaku-sama, whatever floats your boat, ya?

I think it pertains to demeanor, not popularity. Plastic generates no warmth, perhaps neither does the girl he sings of.

I really think it's supposed to mean, as in cool like plastic; stiffness. Because plastic dolls liek the old fashioned barbies are extremely stiff, and you couldn't bend their legs or arms or anything. And, plastic is made in a process of heating the material, then putting it in the old and cooling it to stay in the shape.
So, since Gackt's song is about the *act* heart I would think of the lyrics as "you're too stiff" heart
