The infamous Wizard Howl wandered around the Wastes, trying to find a good spot to graze. It had been several days since he had left his moving castle and he was happy with the freedom he had gained. 'Finally, no kings to serve anymore,' he thought to himself happily.

[ Kelvit had been rushing around, having to stop frequently to take rests. He sighed, today had been such..a lonely day. He ruffled the feathers on his wings and decided that now wasn't the best time to show off his speed. He needed to build up his stamina before he could run for as long as he wanted. He paced along and looked for someone to talk to. ]

Howl was about to drop his head down to graze on a patch of green grass when he heard the sounds of hoofbeats nearby. He pricked his ears up and gazed behind him to see another male Nequus wandering around. Curious, he wandered over to Kelvit, his wings quivering slightly from under his coat.

[ Kelvit eyed the male who was brave enough to come so close so quickly. He snorted and tilted his head as he saw something weird covering the new male's body, but he had gotten his wish and had someone to talk to. "Who are you?" He half demanded trying to come off as strong and a little rude. ]

Howl stopped in his tracks as he heard the other male's harsh comment. He canted his head to one side and delicately pawed at the ground with one hoof. "Why, I am the Wizard Howl. It is nice to meet you, sir," he said in a calm voice. He bowed down slightly at Kelvit and swished his tail slowly.

[ 'What IS this guy?' Kelvit asked himself and stared blankly at him. "I'm Kelvit. And I'm no 'sir'" Her spoke in a confused way and wondered why he was so... akward. He had never knew a Nequus that bowed before. Or maybe he greeted people all wrong? ]

Howl canted his head again and stared at Kevit curiously. "Ah, it is nice to meet you Kelvit. what brings you out here?" He spread one of his wings out to indicate the lands they were in. Slowly, he pulled the wing back under his coat and shifted it slightly so that the coat would fall back over the exposed wing.

[ Usually Kelvit was outgoing and curious... But now he was just confused. "I..uh... Live around here." He nodded and stared at the coat. Was it a wing protector or something? He ruffled his wings, letting the featherscatch little breezes and move around. ]

"Really? Facinating," he said in a chipper voice. "I, myself, haven't been here before. This is my first time coming here. I usually live in my moving castle, but it seems to have run off without me." He gazed around the area, as if he was trying to find his castle. He spotted the other male gazing at his coat and he fluttered his wings slightly, causing his coat to ripple. "Interested in it? I got it after I graduated from the Sorcery Academy. One of my teachers gave to me as a gift. Like it?"

[ Kelvit was at a lose for words, only able to nod his head, until Howl had said something about the wing protector. "Not so much interested... Just confused. What is it?" He asked in a rather puzzled voice. It was so brightly colored and it seemed to bounce the sun off it and make the colors seem brighter. ]

"It's a coat. Haven't you seen one before?" he asked Kelvit curiously. He hadn't seen any Nequus who hadn't know what a coat was. Then again, he hadn't run into many of his kin before, either. He usually shunned them away and stayed inside his castle everyday or he wandered around and avoided his kin.

" Never! I don't think I'd wear one either!" He spread his wings out then clamped them to his sides. "My wings are my world! And Flying must be so hard with that..that... Th--Coat on!" He tried to remember it wasn't a 'thing' but j=it seemed thats what it should be called. ]

"I never fly. It is too much of a hastle," he said in a serious tone of voice. He had never thought of flying at all. Since he had gotten hurt when he was a foal, he never flew again. Quivering his wings, he pawed at the ground nervously.

[ Kelvit took a step back, in shock. "B-but flying makes you feel free!" he insisted. How could anyone dislike flying? It was amazing not to feel the earth beneath your feet and the wind support your every move! ]

"I shall never fly again," he commented in the same tone of voice. And with that, he turned around and started heading away from kelvit.
