I'm thinking now is as good a time as any to revive my old avatar game shop, where I sell crappy games I make myself starring gaian avatars at prices no sane person would pay. In the 50-100k range, each.
Here's the catch, though. I don't want to do complex games that require many hours of work to create. The game in my sig, even in its incomplete state, took a whole lot more work than I'd be willing to put into commercial products. That, and I can't sell it anyway... because it uses graphics and music from outside sources.
So I need ideas for simple games to sell. As of now, my list is pretty weak:
Pac-man 1943 (to-down plane shooter, if you've never heard of it) Frogger Bubble Bobble
Tetris is not an option. Woe.
Any and all game suggestions are appreciated.

Ah, those are all good ideas.
Gradius in particular, because I still find the game fun even today.

Gradius or Contra would be sweet. The actual game having our avatars in it would be even sweeter.

Joust.
You'd have to be a ******** idiot not to pay 50k for a game where you get to play yourself riding a flying attack ostrich.

Can someone explain the original Joust to me? I only remember Joust 2, where you moved around on the bird and killed things by transforming into a centaur thing. How did the first one work?
Mario is feasible, but expect something like Mario 1, rather than something as in-depth as Mario 3 with world maps, item houses, etc.
And I heart Bust A Move, but I'd have to think about how I'd actually do it.

You should make an MMORPG. Every character must look like you. Now how fun would that be!?
