Your Nequus' Journal
You do not need a journal if you own a Nequus, it is simply a place for organization and RP.
Your 'Fruit Tree' may be a place to Roleplay or simply a spot to cram all that extra information about your Nequus you have nowhere else to put. Whether it be fanart, friendlistings, or interesting facts you'd like to hold about your Nequus, journals can go for almost anything.
Set up
You can set up your journal however you would like. For now you must make your own banners, but in time there will be banners available to you for a small price. If you do not have enough gold for the banners at the time I will be making a small tutorial so that you may make your own banners.
Journals can me organized, or sloppy, or whatever. Anything goes. You can have it sorted out by a term basis and allow no posting by anyone, or you can reserve a few posts and make it a place to RP. Its up to you.
An interesting format hardly ever done is to actually make your Journal resolve solely around the Nequus tree.
Examples of this are having a spot where your Nequus has 'carved' into the tree friends/foes, even maps of places they have been.
Benifits of Holding a Journal
By holding a journal you raise Skill Level. Information on skill level and their more solid cousin "stats" can be found in the 'Skills and Stats' section of the Fruit Tree Subforum.
When you raise skill, several things can happen. Nequus with high skills will have special events and gifts available only to them. As well, they will be elligable to recieve special positions once they reach 100 skill points.
You raise your skill points by keeping your journal pretty, updated, and with links to your RPs as you get points for each completed one of these you do. You'll need to post in this thread monthly to show you are still an active member and would like so and so's journal updated.

Getting a Fruit Tree
To get a fruit tree you must fill out the following form and PM it to the Nequus mule entitled: "Journal Request" 1 form per Nequus, and if you have multiple forms please put them all in one PM. Also, please don't send in a request unless you have your Nequus' cert.Nequus Name: Nequus' Owner(s) Name(s): Certifed Image: [please host your own images] Fruit Tree Location: [see below] Extended Personality: [this is where you get to elaborate] Land Often Travelled Through: Height: [See main thread for details on height. If you still aren't sure, PM the Nequus mule and ask]
[Don't forget to put the stat page if you rolled it yourself!] You'll notice on the form it asks you for a lot of stuff found in the 'give and get' section of the main forum. This is just here for a brief overview, you can write more or less, or even copy and paste what you have written in the give and get section. You don't have to write up a 'give and get' post for your Nequus, its just a nice little organized place for people too look at your horses without having to feed through all the journals.
Notice the height especially. When filling out a journal it is important to stay WITHIN the height specifications on the main page. If you want your Nequus to be 'unusually' tall then simply go on the very end of the scale, but do NOT go over, for those include the max heights. Most of you should stay in the middle of the height ranges as that is where most Nequus will be. If I do not find a height appropriate when you send it I will change it to be the height I want your Nequus to be, so do it right the first time.
If you roll Stats yourself you must provide page numbers of the stat roll in the PM so that I may grab the information myself. Or you may simply request that I roll the stats for you.
Nequus siblings from the same breeding will share a fruit tree and therefore share a journal. They will all need their own stat rolls even though they share the same tree. If you have siblings, or share them with someone make sure you send their forms in the same PM as they will be in the same Journal. They may have been born in the same place, but they do not have the same life and therefore different stats.
When filling out a fruit tree form you will notice something called 'Tree Location'. This is rather simple really. The Nequus Fruitlands, also known as Shrilal, is divided up into 8 sections.
North Northeast East Southeast South Southwest West Northwest
North is towards Ryuten, the home of the people. South towards the sea and the rest as follows. If you need more info on all these places visit the Nequus lands subforum. The center is dedicated to the giant mother tree, so that's why its not listed. No Nequus currently in existance are from the great Mother Tree.
