Fedha'Kialio wasn't one to sit idle, at least not at home. He
rather liked to explore the lands that he was birthed in. He
was moving in the direction he often liked to go, which
skirted the boarders and proved to lead to a fantsatic
rock that made sky viewing wonderful. It was his rock, and
he'd fight anyone who said different. His tail flicked back and
forth, a low purr rumbling from his throat. It was nice to be
away from your family, away from idiots and away from
annoyances. Fedha rather enjoyed his alone time, which took
up the majority of his time. He only tollerated his family when
he needed to eat, bathe or sleep. He found that he liked the
'sleeping' time was the best time to put up with them.

His right ear flicked and he gave his head a shake, he
shouldn't be thinking about them anyways. His eyes lit up as he
spotted a rotted log not far off and he headed right for it, nostrils
flaring as he sniffed at the ground, and at some of the fungi
growing near it.

*Ausi’s light blue eyes seemed to trail from one sight to another, slowly as she took in all of her new surroundings. This was her first time away from her father, and her first time out alone. The charcoal coated female stopped herself short of exploring and sat down, licking at one of her paws. Her pelt was a mixture of colors, one would hate it or love it, but never in-between. Ausi didn't have similar Mist colors, due to her Father being a Firekin. - But that didn't seem to faze her at this age. All she wanted right now was to enjoy her youth.

With soft steps the little female walked along the path that she had set within her mind, following the dry earth before her. She seemed quite but her eyes held a strong fire, burning like a blue flame. Ausi didn’t notice the young male that was heading in her direction, no... She was too busy eyeing a tiny snail that was wiggling down a leaf. With a soft thud she moved back quickly and spoke out, her eyes fixing upon the male before her. She had run into him, and now felt slightly lost as to what to do.*

"Oh, I'm sorry!"

*Ausi spoke with a slight smile, her eyes fixing upon his.*

Fedha hissed slightly, reeling back in surprise. He was
too foccused on the fungi to hear her coming, and
that was probably his own fault. His small lips curled
back slightly, but then the look of disgust completely
fell from his visage. His maw was a little open as he
stared at the other cub, gaze roaming over the red on
her pelt. He'd seen black on other's before, like his own
sister. But Red? No, he'd never seen red (he had yet to
meet Rahima, his sort-of grandmother).

Her little head fluff was white, like his own. She had light
blue eyes, lighter than his with hints of green mixed in.
Her pelt was much more fancy... she did have the weird
paw 'sleeves' that he himself had, though hers were in
white while his were black. Suddenly he realized what he
was doing, never before had he taken so long to figure
out some whitty response or mean remark that would
throw the other off guard. Perhaps he had been the one
caught off guard this time, but it wouldn't happen again.

"Maybe you should watch where you're going instead of
plowing over the unaware." He murmered. He arched a
brow as if he was waiting for her to agree, his body slightly
hunched in a defensive position and his tail flicking back
and forth. He wasn't sure why but he couldn't stop looking
at the red of her pelt.

*Taken back by his words the female eyed him down; her ears pinning back along the side of her skull. She let his sent pass her, before passing judgment upon him. So his words seemed upset, Ausi didn’t seem to mind. She had seen her father upset before, now that was freighting. With a sly smile, one that she had picked up from her sister the cub spoke again.*

"Maybe."

*Leaving that to rest Ausi’s mind had already moved on, she was ready to inspect him. His pelt was so light compared to her own, and his eyes made her take a step back. He had blue eyes, like her own- this was something new all together for this cub, she had never seen another lion with eyes resembling her own hue. Her sister’s eye colors were different; one a magenta tone and the other green, like her mother and father’s eyes. Ausi didn’t know how she came about being born with blue eyes, but she had never thought of this until now.

With a flick of the tail the female stopped her rude gaze and looked over his shoulder, eyeing past him. She was lost again, wasn’t she? Ausi didn’t mind that he was looking at her oddly, she had grown use to that by now. She was not of the norm when it came to color, hell, all of her sisters had odd coloring. Frowning slightly the cub eyed back at the boy before her and spoke again, her tone never changing pitch.*

"My name is Ausi."

Fedha blinked lightly. Maybe? Maybe was the
only reply he got? He looked a little confused,
a great deal of annoyed and a bit stupid, again
with his mouth hanging slightly open. His tail
gave a small flick. His ears perked slightly.
Her name was Ausi, that was it? "Your full
name is Ausi, it's not longer?" He sounded a
little skeptical about this, names that were
short made him a little uneasy.

"Fedha'Kialio. Don't shorten it, I was given
that name and you should use it in it's
fullness." My, my what a bossy little thin he
was. He didn't add that it was nice to meet her
or pleasent to, et cetra. He didn't think it was
any of those things, and what if the meeting
didn't go nicely? Was one lion supposed to
say it was nice to meet the other and then
have the whole meeting fall to shambles?
Not that Fedha ever liked meeting anyone.
"What are you doing in these parts of the lands?"
He arched a brow again, he was good at doing
such things. Questioning and arching brows.

"Full name."

*The little lioness stopped her light train of thought and eyed him again, before looking to her side, back into the direction that she had come. Back to her home and family. She thought for a moment before speaking again.*

"Ausi’taariq, is the name my father gave to me when I was born, so I would say that is my full name. I do not like the way it sounds, so I just made It short and simple."

*The charcoal cub nodded slightly, smiling to herself still. The best defense to bitterness or anger was a smile or at least that is what her mother told her.*

"Dark morning star- I think it means... I could be wrong."

*light blue orbs set upon his form again as she sat herself down, thinking. Why was she here again? Oh yes, she wanted to see the lands without the hassle of her father following her. It was a pin to have such a bright, big male trailing behind her the whole way. With a soft sigh the cub spoke once more.*

"I live just over that rock- I’m talking a walk, to get a look around or something along the same lines as that, and yourself?"

*Ausi asked, mocking his arched brow. He made her smile, even if he didn’t mean to.*

Why was she mocking him! "Ausi'taariq." He
murmered a moment. Maybe long names were
a hassel to say, and some of them did sound
a little funny, but he still thought what he did.
"Well that's what I'll call you..." He slowly sat
himself down, he was lanky and skinny, though
his skinnieness did not look unhealthy. He just
didn't have the cub-chub that other's often had.
Listening to her name meaning made him think
of his own. "That's not so special." He stated,
trying to get himself back to feeling normal.
Actually it was a very nice name meaning, but
complimenting others was just asking for them to
walk all over you. His own name ment silver rain
that falls at bedtime, but he wasn't going to
share that with her.

His eyes flicked toward the place she indicated.
"I live up past the waterfall." He didn't offer which
direction that was in, he didn't care to. "And what
I am doing is my business alone." He smirked,
thinking he had something on her. What else would
he be doing, solving a murder mystery? One thing
was for sure, the other cub made him a little
uneasy. He was used to people arguing and telling
him he was a mean idiot, and then promptly
leaving him alone. But she was just sitting, smiling.

*Twitching ears cocked to the side as the young cub listened to Fedha'Kialio’s words. Her nose wrinkled up and Ausi batted at it, trying to stop the light tingling that it made her feel. After fixing her itch she stopped and eyed him again- Ausi’s eyes were very wide for a cub, large and clear.. like the skies after a light rain , unlike her mother and father, her eyes were light. With a soft laugh the cub spoke again.*

“Alright then, I won’t ask about what you are doing then.”

*The cub nodded in agreement and looked back to her cave. She hoped that Akamu would be alright with her being gone for this long, her mother was ill after all, and right now her father was the one looking after her and her sisters. Moving her sight back to Fedha she spoke again, with her same relaxed smile.*

“Never seen a coat like that before.”

*She spoke to him about his color. Well, to Ausi his coat was different and her coat was of the norm, due to only knowing her family. The female cub eyed over him again and smiled to herself… what a lovely gray. Envy was her sin, and right now she was adoring the light tones. Ausi stopped herself short, doing her best not to seem rude.*

She was making him feel rather uneasy,
watching him like that. Though that was
probably how other's had felt when he'd
stared them down, too. Good, she wasn't
going to ask. Which proved she really had
not cared in the first place, so it had been
a pointless question. His gaze flicked away
from her a moment, toward the left. Right
to the fungi he'd been looking at. No matter,
he no longer felt like checking it out. He just
wanted something else to look at.

His tail gave a sharp flick at her words, head
jerking back to meet her eyes. He tried to see
if she was being rude about it, or just pointing
something out. "Obviously you haven't been
given a tour of these lands." Most of the other
lions had simular coats. "If you have you
wouldn't be saying that, but I am sure most
other's would be saying the same sentance
about you." Mostly because she had red with
the black, and that wasn't common here, nor
was black. "I don't think I've ever seen the
color of blood on a lion's fur. My sister has
pink, but certainly not as obvious as that." He
murmered, oblivious if these words were mean
or not.

“Oh..”

*The female stopped and listened to him, as it to take in all he had to say. She was willing to learn and she wanted to. With a slight tilt of the head she looked at her paws, dipped in bright red and then back to him.*

“I think I get that from my father, he is red all over, with a white and black mane... I have his making.. but one of my sisters is just like my father. She is red too, I think even more so than he is actually..”

*Odd, she had never thought of that before. Maybe it was because she was so use to seeing her family’s odd colors? Oh, that was right- her father and mother were not born Mists, no. Ausi felt nothing when he spoke again, his words didn’t really hurt her, it was more of his own anger that he showed when he did that, more than anything. She wouldn’t add on to his fire. She knew better then that.*

He swallowed and after a minute longer
of her being quiet he stood, stretching
out is limbs. "You're dull." He stated, then
grinned. "But don't worry, I'm used to it."
He was referring to his smaller big sister,
but she wouldn't know that. "Too quiet, you
know?" Well what did he want, a conversation?
First he wants to be alone and now when he
runs into another he wants her to speak up?
That didn't make sense at all!

Though her father did sound interesting. He
didn't have a father, so he wasn't really sure
what the purpose of a father was. Perhaps he
should ask her? "What's the purpose of a
father?" So the question tumbled right out,
before he really thought it over. And once
he had said it he wished he hadn't, he thought
it sounded like a rather horrid question and
something too stupid to say out loud.

"I think to take care of the mother if she becomes sick."

*Ausi spoke back lightly, her ears pinning back. So that was a low blow. She had done nothing to be rude or hurtful, and here he was calling her dull... but maybe he was right, maybe she was dull, she sure didn’t know. Ausi never let her smile go, it kept her feeling strong even when weak.*

"My father hunts and takes care of me, and tells me stories about his old Pride and his father before him."

*The female nodded softly again as her eyes trailed down his black sleeved paws. Mmm, did he not have a father? With a deep sigh she asked, though she knew he would only say something to harm her again, right now she didn’t care. Why would one ask If one had a father?*

“You don’t know, do you? You don’t have a father?- My mother is sick right now and I have not gotten to see her much.. so my father is like my mother until my mother is better.”

*Ausi’s blue eyes laced along his line of view as she moved a bit closer to him. Something was touching his nose, a speck of dirt that was driving her mad. With a light lick the cub moved in and touched his nose with her tongue, before moving back. That was better. She didn’t have to cross her eyes to look at him now. Ausi didn’t know about ‘personal space’ she had two sisters that loved getting in her face and cleaning her, so she just did what she knew. Cubs live what they learn after all.*

Her mom was sick? He cringed slightly, he
wouldn't know what to do if either of his
mothers were to become sick. Or both at the
same time, that would be even worse. "What
is she sick with?" He said after a moment, his
tone lighter. See, Fedha could feel bad for others.

His ears pinned back a moment when she asked
him if he had a father, of course he didn't! "No,
I don't.." He said, guardidly. He'd learned that
having two mothers was a little strange, he
wasn't sure if he liked sharing the fact. "I have
Denge and Ithi. I guess Ithi acts more like.. like
a father than a mother. But I don't ca..." He trailed
off suddenly as she got close to him, his eyes
widening as she licked at his nose. He jerked back,
even before she began to back up, so hard that he
fell backwards.

He was quite confused at this action, only Ithi and
Denge were really allowed to touch him, his siblings
took the clue to stay away from him. He took a deep
breath, straggling back to his feet, looking at her with
his nose scrunched and his maw open again. "Why did
you do that?" His tone was demanding, but also confused.
This was the first lion that had ever made Fedha
a little nervous.

*Ausi couldn’t help but giggle as he fell over, but she did try to hold it in. He seemed so startled- how odd! Fixing herself the cub spoke again, her tone a bit teasing.*

“Haha!... You okay?”

*Before she could check and see he was up on his paws again. He must have been okay, he was standing again in no time. With a light grin she moved herself back and spoke.*

“My mother’s just sick, because off the birth- my father said. Something about my sister not wanting to enter the world. My sister is resting with my mother. She is too weak to play right now, but soon she will be all well... father says."

*She really wasn’t trying to be mean, but he had something on his nose! She would have wanted for someone to get it if it was her- but then again he was not her and because of this fact she settled down and took in a breath of air, doing her best to not laugh. She wasn’t laughing at him but he would take it that way if he saw her do it.*

“I’m sorry, you had something on your nose.”

*She stopped before adding.*

"You have two moms?"

His eyes narrowed just slightly as she giggled.
Laughing at him like that, he ought to shove her
over! "Fine." He said, his tone dry.

He listened to her story a moment, thoughtful of
it. All of his siblings wanted to enter the world,
sadly enough. So this one certainly did like her
father, the word was very awkward to Fedha's
ears. He hardly ever heard such a word, so he
wasn't used to another saying it quite so much.

"Well next time tell me! And I will gladly remove it
myself." He huffed lightly, looking away. Slightly
embaressed? Why yes, he was. His ear flicked and
he looked slowly back at her next question.

"Yeah... why?
