I hope I spelled that right...
While I have no interest in learning the art, I would like to see it in action. Does anyone have any links to where I could see a capeoriast go at it? Preferably with semi to full contact.

I saw a small hour long 'documentry' on IFC called "Deadly Arts". Some show about martial arts. Unfortunatly the show didnt show it with any contact. Just 'showing off' balance sweatdrop

There's an insane, informative thread within the sports forum.

Deadly arts is a pretty good documentry series but the women who presents it is full of s**t.

The good documentrys in the deadly arts series are the Karate one along with the Muay Thai one.

The one done on Kalaripayt is interesting.

The one on Aikido is interesting but really exposes it (un-intentionally) for the ineffective art I beleive it is. Just watch the various Aikido masters students jump and flip when the Masters 'throws' them.

The Savate one is good to watch but it exposes the presenter for the fake she is when she has to "fight" a female pro Savate fighter.

Though I'm not sure who that is, she's pretty bad based on what I saw. Josette D Normandeau is her name. I cant find any information on her with a google other then she was nominated for a Gemini for best host in a sports program or sports cast. Oh, and an episodes brief description describing her as a "Combat Expert". rolleyes I didnt see anything that indicated that, at all. Maybe shes a tactician and not a grunt?

Anythings possable, but I'm willing to put money down that if she is an expert its in tactics and not the phyica aspects.

My thoughts exactly. Either have someone with a background in Martial Arts do the show, or a person in their phsyical prime with a good dexterity.

I saw this video where two capoeiraists were going for some odds things... I was really surprised.

Its at http://teamsuperfly.com/ in the videos under extras.

ThunderFoot has invited me to move the information in my old "OFFICIAL Capoeira Thread" to a new thread in this guild. There should be lots of information about Capoeira in it, once it's up. Just be patient. 3nodding

Me too, I'm fascinated by capoeria, although I don't think there's anywhere in my area that I could try it out.
