D< OMG Telor and Kurogo

Cemetary, midnight, unnaturally bright full moon, few clouds.

Character Name: Jones (Full name witheld)
Gender: Male
Age: N/A, at least a few hundred years old
Specie: Lich (previously Human, now Undead)
Threat Level: Green
Weapons: None
Powers: Jones is a Darkforce Mage, meaning he is a spellcaster specializing in a specific form of Black magic. His powers manifest as spells cast using Darkforce.
-Cloak- Jones' cloak (i.e. his 'body') is a permanent Darkforce spell that he uses to move and manipulate things with since he lacks a proper body. It can be dispelled, rendering him immobile until he can create a new one.
-Teleportation- Jones' essentially implodes upon himself in a puff of blackness. He is capable of teleporting anywhere within line of sight or to a location he is aware of/has already been to. He cannot teleport to places he cannot see or does not know where it is/what the layout is like. He can teleport himself and a certain level of mass extra (a few people, likely).
-Pocket Dimension- Jones' cloak acts as a magical storage space, permitting him to packrat an apparently endless supply of useless junk.
-Limbs- The lower portions of Jones' cloak are amorphous and stretchy, allowing him to create tendrils or limbs from the Darkforce mass.
-Hover- Jones doesn't have legs; the Cloak allows him to hover along any surface regardless of its density or gravity, meaning he can hover over water or up walls/ceilings. He cannot fly; a surface is mandatory to hover across.

Abilities: Jones relies entirely on his Darkforce Cloak for physical efforts, (except for some leisure activities). The Cloak is capable of manipulating up to 500 lbs. of weight at maximum effort. When hovering, Jones is capable of reaching up to 30 mph maximum.
As a Lich (undead), Jones is immune to most conventional forms of damage. There's just nothing there to hurt. He is immune to the elements/elemental powers (fire, electricity, and such) and poisons (no blood or muscles to poison). His bones (Skull and Hands) are magically hardened and essential indestructable (see Weaknesses for more info). Jones has no need of food, oxygen, or sleep.
Darkforce is not related to shadows. It is not an absence of light but is rather a negation of energy via Black Magic, therefore light spells have no negative effects on Jones.

Weaknesses: Jones' biggest weaknesses fall in the fact that he is both a Mage and a Lich. He needs time to cast his spells and will have wasted his effort if his concentration is broken. As an Undead, he is incredibly weak against Holy (White) Magic and Healing Spells, both of which hurt him. Likewise, any holy symbols (relegious symbols, holy water, and such) will hurt him.
On a more personal note, Jones is easily bored. Being very old, he's seen a lot and has simple pleasures that are borderline obsession for him; he enjoys reading, doing crossword puzzles, and has become addicted to soap operas. As such, he will put his leisure activities on a higher priority than anything else, meaning he could very well forfeit a battle if it risked him missing an episode or if he is no longer entertained by the situation.
Jones is very haughty in behavior; he's got a serious ego and never does anything unless he wants to, even if his intervention would save a lot of people a great deal of trouble.
Physically, Jones is immune to damage. His Darkforce Cloak will reform if cut or harmed in any other way and his bones are supernaturally durable, so they resist physical harm on an insane level. However, he is not immune to the result of physical impact, meaning if you hit him in the head with a baseball bat, he will react properly (likely his head'll be sent flying). Likewise if you tie him up, he will be immobilized (until he teleports, of course).

A cold evening wind blew amidst the looming statues of angelic beings carved of stone and marble, rustling up the fallen leaves of trees well into their natural decay. Save for the quiet chirping of crickets or the occasional hoot of a forest owl, the cemetary was silent.

Deep within the cemetary grounds, the tombstones stood as quiet sentries to those whos time had come and gone, their faces sporting the names and sentiments of loved ones left behind. A particularly worn ediface read simply 'Here Lies Jones'...

...and as a matter of fact, it was quite correct.

"In the name of all Thine Heavens above..." a whispy, gravelly voice murmured out. The robe-wearing lich reclined absently with his skeletal hands tucked across his torso, leaning in against his own gravestone as a backrest. Coughing loudly for a few moments, he cleared his non-existant throat and spoke again.

"Geez! Mine foe doth be late-ith..." he griped in a far less ominous tone...in fact, he sounded more akin to a used car dealer. Pushing up, he flowed like mist upright and looked around over the surrounding gravestones and monuments.

"Mayhaps I should've marked better the map." Jones mused, scratching his disembodied skulltop.

Cutter walked silently between monolithic gravestones, the enormous moon lighting his way. He was rather certain that his opponent hadn't seen him yet.

All he knew of the one he was to fight was that he was a lich, and that alone stirred a good amount of loathing.
Damn necromancers should know when to die.

He brought a cigar to his lips and bit the end off, turning it around and lighting it with the ease of long practice. He puffed a few lungfuls of the stuff and looked up at the moon.

The calm before the storm.

In a land of the dead, everything was cold and stony as the gravemarkers themselves. Given the general absence of substantial life, when a single flame burst into existance held in the hands of an abundantly healthy lifeforce, it may have well been a giant neon sign to an undead being like Jones.

If Jones had a lower jaw with which to work with, he would've smiled. At last! Company! The well-aged Lich was personally beyond the formalities of common greetings...such things simply didn't matter after you got to be his age. Stretching his partially dismembered limbs out wide with a creak of well-worn stitchings in his cloak complaining from the movement, he turned on the spot and began drifting smoothly amongst the graves as if kin to the soft layer of misty fog that flowed across the grass.

"Since times long past, living hath spurned death...yet some living grow fond of their bane. Thy life, mine unlife. Let's not waste our collected times, shall we?" Jones' voice called out aloud, echoing across the graveyard. He knew Cutter was there...he didn't know where exactly, but the presence was noted. "After all, we've our game to contend."

Cutter held the cigar clamped between his teeth as the lich spoke, they always got so...weird after a certain age.

He took a long drag and stepped out from the cover of a large gravestone, crunching a discarded branch a meter or two behind Jones. Cutter looked down at the branch and cursed softly.
This did not set a good precedent.

Jones halted his meandering at the sound of the breaking bit of dead wood, turning with a deliberate method to face the emerged Cutter. He considered his living opponent for a long moment as nothing but the cold air passed between the two...

"Y'know, thou wilt kill-ith thyself with those things." he observed, pointing at Cutter's cigar as his wandering psuedo-Shakespearean lingo went shakey again. He quickly drifted forward with outstretched, bony hands in a distinct sign of greeting to what was otherwise his alleged opponent. In spite of his gloomy appearance and Cutter's own serious attitude, Jones' behavior was downright easy-going. "Merry met! I take it to be thou art mine rival tonight, yes? I do pray for a good rousing...d'ya know how hard it is to find good entertainment anymore...ith?" he added as an afterthought.

Cutter frowned slightly and took another drag from the cigar as he contemplated the creature before him.
Much unlike most necromancers, who were often sour and ill-tempered, this one seemed downright jovial. Cutter supposed that after a while the idiom "Life's too short to be serious all the time." inversed itself to "Life is too LONG to be serious all the time."

He plucked the burning cigar from his mouth, taking the opportunity to flick the ashes from it, and clasped the bony hand offered him in a firm grip.
"Oh, the merriest of met, I assure you," he drawled easily, "I am indeed your opponent, lich."

He brought the cigar back to his lips and took another lungful, clamping it again between his teeth.
"I'm too hard to kill for tobacco to do the job."
