So how many of you have been watching the world cup lately? I can't take my eyes off it, i'm hooked lol!
So what are your thoughts on the England matches so far? Do you think we deserve to be in the quarter finals? And who do you think is going to win?

i take it from the cheers tonight that england won against equador.]"`| Only just. We haven't been playing very well all tournament but to be fair, we haven't needed to. And looking at the result from Portugal vs Netherlands we won't need to next game either. Two of Portugals starting players can't play in the next game due to the Ref having OCD and giving out a total of 16 cards, 4 of which were red (two to Portugal), and so I'm not looking all that troubled by them right now. Sure, they could still beat us but it's been made easier for us. Now all we need to do is capitalize on that. As for should England be where they are? Yes. Who else should have qualified from our group if not us? No one and Ecuador played OK but their finishing was awful. Who'll win? I was thinking Argentina but having watched them play Mexico yesterday I'm not so sure now. Germany stand a good chance but we'll see.

We really don't deserve to be as far as we are; we've been playing terrible. It's just the teams we've been playing have been equally, if not (obviously) worse.

Ukrane are through... This just gets more and more interesting! The first Penalty shoot out in The World Cup 2006 and the Ukrane win it!

I wonder if it will be like the 1966 world cup where we got into the finals with germany. Hopefully the same outcome will happen too.

My Auntie's having an England party at her house on the day of the match. So they'd better win, or it's going to be one depressing party...except, I won't actually WATCH the match. I can't stand watching football on TV. But it would be even stranger with the people from my mum's side of the family. They're crazy Crouch-haters, and so they yell at the screen-specifically at Crouch-all the time. Oh, to have a moderately normal family... rolleyes

Oh, to have a moderately normal family... rolleyes shouts at the footballers via the TV when the World Cup's on, that is a normal thing for a family to do! I happen to love shouting at Owen Hargreaves because I think he's over-rated and rather crap most of the time, although credit where it due - He played quite well in the last match. Still not sure if I'll be able to bring myself to watch it. If it's a sunny day I'll be sunbathing anyway. I need a tan
