Oh! We had a cool chart of "Ain't She Sweet". That was pretty cool. Another good one is Sudden Sam by Sammie Nestico. You really can't go wrong with Mr. Nestico.

Nestico? hmm I dont think we have many of his charts
is he new age or what?
we are generally in the Benny Goodman and Gordon Goodwin sort of charts... with a little Bill Chase every once in a while... and some random ones too

Nestico has written tons of stuff, especially for the Count Basie Orchestra. His work is AWSOME.

My band has been playing various stuff but i guess my favorites would be a good swing tune.

Groove Merchant by Thad Jones is probably my favorite well known chart to play.

Gosh let's see there's stuff from the Buddy Rich library, Stan Kenton, Tom Kubis is an awsome arranger, we're playing a nice moving version of Take Me Out To The Ballgame he arranged.
Cant go wrong with Count Basie and Duke Ellington.
Bob Mintzer has some of teh coolest grooves and some of the less cool songs as well.

If you cant tell i'm talking about big band arrangements

For those who like Fever, this past year my college Jazz Band played it and we had a guy from the school's most elite choral group come in and sing with us. It came out really well.
