I still maintain that the English dub of Sailor Moon was one of the great crimes of the 20th century. However, One good thing did come from it: the song "The Power of Love." In my opinion, it is one of the greatest songs ever.

this is true. the voice of usagi of the american dub said it was her favorite song to sing.

you can also download programs like limewire or kazaa. You won't necessarily be able to find them, but i prefer the filesharing to downloading straight off the net.

using limewire and kazaa is so unorganized! you get results from all different seasons, all different albums, PGSM, the musicals, and the anime all horribly mixed together. getting them off the net is so much easier and organized, plus you can be sure where it's from.

I just bought the Lunarock album, and I was wondering if the singers on the album are the actual voice actors for the series. Oh, and who's RAW?

xd a RAW is the term for a japanese language episode without subtitles or any editing whatsoever. at least, that's how i've come to take what it means.
i think on the lunarock album it is the voice actresses of the english dub singing, because serena's voice actress once said "of all the songs i've sang for sailor moon, the song 'Power of Love' is my favorite." i also think it's true because the voice actresses in the japanese version sing all the songs for the japanese version. but, to double check look at the booklet that comes with the lunarock album (if there is a booklet) and check the credits of the songs. if you see the names of the voice actresses matched with the names of the people who sang the songs then the voice actresses sang the songs, at least in part. if there is no booklet or credits to speak of with your copy you can go to borders.com i think and look up lunarock. with a little looking around, you should be able to find the credits. read the reviews if you can't find the borders.com provided credits. 3nodding
i haven't been listening to much sailor moon music lately! i should! i miss it. i have loads, too.
what song (from all of the music within the sailor moon universe) is everyone's favorite?
i can't decide, myself. i usually have a favorite for like a week and then it changes. whee

I don't really know many of the songs, but I once found a midi file online from one of the Sailor Moon video games that I liked. Naturally it was a Mercury theme.

...I don't think they actually sang those things. 'Oh Starry Night' sounds NOTHING like Raye's actress. 'Rainy Day Man' also sounds nothing like Lita, and 'I'll Be There' is not Amy's voice. I haven't heard Power of Love without background noises so I can't decide fairly if that is Serena's voice or not. The only thing I'm sure a dub actress sang is 'Suga Baby', and that's not a SM song *L*
Obviously 'She's Got The Power' wasn't sung by any of them. domokun
I -DO- know that the Japanese actors sang the original character and background songs. They're credited fully, and Megumi Ogata (Haruka) even got an album.

oh, mercury's seiyuu has an album, too.
gosh...maybe the american voice actresses sang SOME of the songs...i dunno sweatdrop i don't really know much about the american version now that i think about it, well, compared to my knowledge of the japanese version.

When is asked who RAW is, I asked it because someone named RAW is named as a singer on Lunarock, and I was wondering who it is.
