Hi, I thought it appropriate to do this to help new users orient themselves within the Physics Guild a little better. You will find four amazing subforums (as well as the main forum) at your disposal for topics, questions, and debates on Physics.
_____________________________________________________________

The Astrophysics and Cosmology subforum coveres the macro or in other words, the very large. This is where you can place your questions about Astronomy or share you passion with others about Space. You can talk about how the solar system works, the birth of the universe, the death of the universe, planetary motions, recent discoveries, and in generals; how matter in the universe behaves. You may also go into exotic topics such as dark matter, and black holes.

If you have a question regarding General and Spcial Relativity, or if you would like to learn more, then this is the place to ask and discuss. We may, if you so wish, go into detail regarding Einstein's works and his theory of gravity. We can talk about how the universe is defined by a fabric called spacetime and what that means for matter and energy (which compromises all that we know of existing).

The one place where the High Energy and Quantum physics subforum will overlap with this subforum is in String Theory. You may talk about string theory in both subforums since its objective and attraction is largely the unification of two very different fields. Higher dimensions? Hyperspace? How will beings perceive us from another dimensions? This is the place to ask.

Fast speeds, large energies, E = γmc^2, four momentum and how Newtonian mechanics had to be re-defined for extreme conditions, those are largely domains of Special Relativity (perfectly allowable and suggested topics of discussions). Astronomy? Space? Relativity? The Life of the Universe? We've got it here.
