I want comments, compliments, complaints, suggestions, anything you think to say about my new thread. Is it too long, too elitist, does it show up wierd on the page? ANYTHING! From the font color to the banners. I'm trying to make this good. >.<

Is there a way to extend the length of the side banners to the length of the post without editing the image? I think it looks really snazzy.

Now, as for your question. Not too sure I understand what you mean exactly, but I do have an idea. Uhm, I think just putting in a substantial amount of text helps spreads them apart. And the post stretches to meet the width used.
For example, let's pretend that this little stick - | - is our side bars.
So..They look mashed together right? And that is also how small the actual size of the post will be.
But! If we add text...
The bars are more spaced apart and the size of the post will stretch to fit your needs. =3
I hope that was what you meant

That's definitely one way to do it. Not sure what options you have in designing Gaiaonline posts. Do you know of a primer on BBcode?
