Nikiana and Alaqua were returning from looking at Ala's egg. The koala girl was walking a couple of steps ahead of her mother, deep in thought about what her dragon would look like. If it would be male or female. What kind of things it would like. Now that she was out of the facility, she had all kinds of questions. Questions that she couldn't think of when the D-tech had asked if there'd been questions.
Go figure.
Nikiana was wondering how she'd house a dragon. She'd probably better start now on dragon-proofing her house. And talking with Ala over some basic rules for when the dragon arrived.
Neither was paying much attention to where they were going. They were a bit more at ease in the hallways of D-corp, but that didn't mean that they couldn't still get lost.
And lost they did get, once they realised it. Niki groaned, being the first to spot that they were, once again, somewhere they'd never been before. The groan brought Ala out of her thoughts. "I think it's.... this way!" She claimed, quickly turning the corner, only to run into someone.

Cody broke out into a full-on run, smirking back over his shoulder. He didn't want to be in class right now. He was tired of stacking blocks, singing about letters, and putting puzzles together to make a picture. Any physical education was far too short and even less physical. He wanted to run, to tumble around, get dirty, get bruised, and have an overall good time.
However, in his haste for freedom and potential mischef, he also hadn't seen where he was going and would come ripping down the hall where the two were just turning from.

Ala blinked as she bumped into a very solid someone. A small solid someone. She stumbled back for a step or two before looking down at who she ran into. "Eh... sorry..."
The koala girl would've kept walking but the little boy was rather interesting. Which wasn't out of the ordinary at D-corp. Not by a long shot. But this kid had a ring in his nose. A shiny gold ring.
"I'm Ala. What's your name?"

Cody bumped back to his rump, giving a small short as he rubbed at his head. His hat had fallen off nearby and that seemed to be his first priority- returning the hat to his head and tucking his horns safely back into the holes. Once that was out of the way he looked up to the koala girl, looking her over slowly. Another one- she was more fuzzy than feathery though.
He smiled, patting his bum as he stood himself up, "My name's Cody."

Alaqua grinned at the younger boy. "Nice to meet you." Might as well get all the manners stuff over with, especially with her mother only a step behind her.
"Where's your mommy, Cody?" The woman asked, not seeing any adult coming after the little boy. Was the boy wandering the halls alone?
"That's my mommy," Ala told the boy. "And I got to see my dragon egg." She grinned, still excited from that ordeal.

"My mommy?" Cody put a hand to his chin for a moment, frowning down at the ground. Mommy... oh they meant Winter! Looking up he brightened once more, throwing his hands behind his back, "She's at the caff....ff...coffe. That's where she works. I go sometimes but I don't like it. I sit in the back an' watch movies."

Okay, so he was wandering about alone. "Where are you supposed to be?" Niki asked.
Ala perked up at the last bit of the boy's comment. "Movies? Movies are neat. What movies? I like Lion King and Finding Nemo." The girl nodded.

Cody opened his mouth to answer the adult's question but his attention was quickly drawn away by the conversation of movies. "I like those too!" He said eagerly, "Winter has lots of movies for me to watch, lots of cartoons." He lifted up three fingers, "I see three and she's done with work. Yesterday I sawww....." He took off his hat to rub up under it. Come to think of it, he slept through two of them, "I 'member watchin' Bambi. I can use my horns, just like in the movie!" He bowed his head slightly so the girl could see them, "See? See?"

Nikiana sighed softly. Well, he'd been coming from that direction... what was in that direction? Oh how easy it was to get lost in the huge building that was D-corp.
Alaqua giggled. "Bambi is cool, too." Her eyes widened as she saw the boy's horns. They were kind of like Riley's antlers, only smoother and more pointy at the top. "Neat!" The girl wished she had something cool like horns. But she didn't. Oh well...

Cody smiled proudly, twirling his hat around on a finger. It fell off a few times but in his own mind he looked quite cool. "Yup. Winter said when I get bigger so'll they. An' I'll be able tah punch holes in walls!" He replaced his hat and proudly rested his hands on his hips, puffing out his chest, "Yup, no one's gonna mess wit' me. I'm gonna be the toughest bronco here I bet'cha!"

Alaqua was mesmorized for about a minute by the spinning and whirling of Cody's hat. Then the boy spoke again and she snapped out of staring to look at the boy.
"Punch holes in the walls?? You'll be able to do that?!" Green eyes widened even more at that thought. Then something else that the younger boy said made Ala think. "Bronco??"

He nodded, "Bronco. It's a good word. Means yer tough." He snorted, pawing at the ground a bit, "I can hit the wall with my head wanna see? I did it in Winter's work."
He winced a bit. She hadn't been happy and he had missed a bit and hit his head right smack in the middle. His long black bangs hid a bit of a bump that he'd gotten as reward- but this time he'd be careful. If an older kid thought he was cool than maybe he'd make a friend! Then they could wrestle even!

Ala grinned. "Oh. I see." Her grin then widened at the boy's next comment. "Yeah! Wanna see!!" She nearly danced with excitement. A boy who could ram his head into the wall. So cool.
However, Nikiana interjected herself into this. "I'm pretty sure D-corp wouldn't like having holes in their walls..." She told the two kiddos, placing a gently restraining hand on Cody's shoulder. "And besides, Cody, where are you supposed to be?" While she had the boy's attention, she might as well try and find out. Again.

Cody was already rearing up by the time he was stopped, rolling his eyes with a heavy snort as his he glanced up to the adult. She was no fun- if it hadn't been at work it was likely Winter would have encouraged it. "I'm not 'posta be anywhere I don't wanna be that's where." He stepped away from her hand, tossing his head up, "I go where I wanna go." When Winter's not around...

Okay. So the little bull has an attitude. Niki sighed, glancing down the hallway where the boy had come from. Okay. Time to ask a slightly different question in an attempt to get the same answer.
"Okay. Where did you come from?"
Ala frowned as her mother stopped Cody from doing his cool thing. Moms were fun sometimes.
