Dodge Charger 440 R/T 1968

This is my alltime favorite car. I like it cus its so badly desined, like with a knife and a peace of butter, its pure raw power V8 hunk of steel, smal grip, two tons of great american muscle.

Tell me if you like it, or not, and why?

oh I love it, I have always wanted that car in real life.

I'd go for the '69 R/T personally. That's the General Lee. And there's also the '69 Charger 500 and the Daytona, both classics.

QL. '69 is General Lee, but '68 is the one that chased Stive McQueen in Bullitt.
And lots of people consider the Bullitt chase of Dodge and Mustang the greathest ever on film.

okay my mistake. i apologize. i always hear ricer lovers saying how badly designed muscle cars are but they really mean badly. the cars have hard edges, make loud noises ( not sound like a kiddy dirt bike), and due to the hard edges they can create an interesting way to make paint shcemes around them allowing for a smooth, flowing, or wild paint job not just a decal. so i don't know why anyone can hate them.

Oh, and by the way, I love the muscle era Chargers and Chellengers and 'Cudas. They are probably the most beautiful cars I have ever seen. They look so much better up close than in pictures!!! crying

User ImageI love that car, it has such an evil look. I think its the most evil and agressive looking of the second generation Chargers. But the '69 Charger R/T is my dream car not the General Lee, Black with the white bumble bee stripe and a 426 Hemi.

if you think the 6869 chargers are poorly designed think again. that's the beauty of the coke bottle styling, they also came with wood grain dash, leather interior, and hemi's, my dad has 2 of them and they are both 4 on the floor (or stick shift)

now if anyone wants to challenge me with MOPAR trivia, bring it 3nodding

what was the cubic inch displacement of the two Hemi's under 360 cubic inches???

'69 Chargers look cool, but, I'd never own one... nothing against Dodge's engineering, I just don't like them too much... if I was taking something with a Hemi it'd be a Hemi Dart... those thing's are nuts... tiny little car with huge american engine... I also like Plymouth Roadrunners... there's just something I like about them...

if I was going to take one of the bigger muscle cars, it'd be a '71/2 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454... rated as only like 350-400 hp from the factory, sand-bagged big time though to keep insurance rates down, they've been put on the dyno and a stock 454 pulls about 512hp...

MOEs
There are more than two hemis under 360ci.

let me rephrase then... what were the two most popular hemi's for hot-rodding that were under 360 cubic inches...

furthermore... what other company that starts with a "D" besides Dodge produced a Hemi?

I think he missed the cue on the trivia...haha.

And yes, the Hemi Dart is definitely a way more sweet ride.
