Intro: The sprawling city of Valus is one of the largest cities on the continent located only a two miles from the continents southern coast this is known as the city of Storms, it is one of the most advanced cities on the continent and has been hit by many massive storms over the many years. Valus is a commercial city inhabited by mainly humans and higher elves, it has survived many a century, through wars and disasters.
Valus is also known for its military might, having used its military force to clear the vast plains around it of Orcs, Trolls, and lower demons during the Hells Breathe War. After this display of power not but a small number of Orc tribes inhabit the plains anywhere remotely near Valus. Travelers are warned to find shelter immediately if a storm comes in.
Valus is home to one of the most influetial companies to have ever existed called Fiotori/Callaway Inc. This company owns most of the large industries in Valus and even owns a genetic research lab...
Description: Valus is a massive city with vast open flat lands to the north and west, coast line to the south and mountains to the east. On the outskirts of the northern, eastern, and western parts of the city are mainly brick or stone houses and small farms, on the southern edge of the city is a massive tempered steel storm wall, it stands about twenty-five feet high and stretches twenty-seven miles from end to end, this wall was built centuries ago and has been upgraded every year. The streets are lined with deep rain gutters for the rainy season.
Moving toward the center of the city, the buildings begin to get larger and start to look like they were more recently built. Intricate architecture is an inherent trait amongst the buildings, the street is full of people rushing from place to place along with the homeless that crowd the alley ways. Lightening rods adorn all of the tall buildings in the city. At the center of the city is Celestial Garden which is a beautiful garden around the Grand hall of Valus is at the center of that, a building that is home to the decendence of Aleczander Valus; the founder of the city. This is also the intersection of the two main streets of Valus, Aleczander Street and Fiotori Way.
Inhabitants: Valus is mainly inhabited by humans and higher elves. The bulk of the population is human though at about a 2:1 ratio, with a total population of 3 million Valus is not a small city, though most of the population do not remain for extended periods, Valus has a alot of merchants coming a going. Most of the population live on the outer edges of the city due to the availablity of homes and the quieter settings though some of the population live in the inner city. Outside of the city you may find a few small wandering bands of Orc's but they typically stray away from the city.
Coat Of Arms: Valus' Coat of arms is a winged sword planted blade down in the middle of an Orc's skull in a field, being struck by a bolt of lightening.
Climate: Valus is subject to alot of electrical storms, its has a temperate climate with a relatively mild level of humidity and mild to cold weather. It rains about ninety to a hundred days out of the year most of which occur during fall and early winter, Valus gets alot of snow as well during the winter.
Flora: When it comes to plant life Valus is somewhat bare, having mainly long grass with the occasion shrub, there are no tree's in or near Valus do to the amount of electrical storms that come through most of the tree have be struck down by lightening leaving the plains bare of trees or any shrubs tall enough to be targets for lightening. There is however one flower found only in the fields near Valus, it's a flower called the Storm Keeper, it has brilliant blue petals with small violet streaks on them, they are rare to find because they typically get drowned by the fall rains but you can find them on the top of small bumps on the ground, these flowers are call Storm Keepers because they only fully bloom during dry electrical storms due to the change in the EM (electromagnetic) field around them. These flowers are said to protect anyone that bares them.
Fauna: The Bualtras plains around Valus are home to a score of animals from field mice to the few roaming packs of Fyrion Wolves. Fyrion Wolves are the main predators in the fields they wander across the fields for miles, they are distinguished by there pale blue fur and vibrant blue eyes, they typically don't bother with people but instead they raid farms; killing livestock and destroying pins but they have been known to attack people and even Orcs on the odd occasion, they are not to be taken lightly. There are of course Orcs farther out in the fields, Grassland Foxes, field mice, Bualtras Elk, and the most dangerous of the plains creatures is the infamous Marqi Tiger, though they are far and few between; Marqi Tigers are by far the most feared of Valus' plains animals, they are a jet black with silver stripes they weigh almost eight hundred pounds and are pure muscle, they stand six foot at shoulder and are eighteen feet long (Including tail) with bright green eyes.
Resources: This city is a main exporter of diamonds that are mined from the base of the mountains to the east, this is one of the main sources of income for the city second only to its exporting of technology and weaponry. They also have a very large fishing industry which provides alot of food as well as exports.
History: Aleczander Valus founded this city over five centuries ago. He was the leader of a clan of nomads who'd been forced out of their normal grounds by Orcs and other foul creatures. As they wandered for years they came to the southern coast, it was early fall when they arrived the beginning of the stormy season and it was here after being stuck due to storms that Aleczander decided to settle. As the years when by the small town began to grow merchants would show up every once in a while each time more would show up and then even more until the town began to grow exponentially. After a time they built a large stone wall on the seaside of the town.
Almost a decade afterward the town had become part of a trade route, the town was quickly becoming a center of commerce but trouble would be headed their way soon, word that a large clan of Orc's that roamed the area were headed toward the city and not with the best of intentions. Aleczander called everyone to arms, using the merchants as recruiters to get mercenaries or anyone with fighting abilities to their town. The war was long a bloody but Aleczanders clan was triumphant, but they weren't done there instead of waiting for another inevitable attack Aleczander commanded that they hunt down every Orc within walking distance of their town and kill them. With that the Orc's in the region were almost wiped out.
After the war Valus' growth continued almost completely unhindered until am emmense storm hit them from the south sea. It wiped out almost half the city and destroyed almost every dock. After this they began construction on a stronger wall and continued to enhance it every year. It wasn't until several decades later that Marus Valus , Aleczander's great grandson, ordered for the wall to be reconstructed to be made out of iron.
Almost a century after the wall is rebuilt the largest storm ever to hit Valus occur it almost leveled the city but fortunately there were very few casualities, they reenforced the wall as well as almost doubled its size making it eighteen miles long.
It was five decades after this cataclasmic event that they started mining at the base of the mountain, after hitting a large diamond vein, a man named Donte Fiotori became the second richest man in Valus. He created a mine company called Fiotori Industries.
Current Events: At present the ruler of Valus is Lord Ravius Aleczander Valus II, the largest corporation is Fiotori/Callaway Inc. which owns seventy-eight percent of all the businesses in Valus including Genetic Horizon Corp. a company that excels in the many fields of genetic research...Many people have been disappearing off the streets and some of the homeless some how become very rich... the city seems to be slipping into chaos, with people in power getting assassinated and GH (Genetic Horizon) being accused of conducting illegal experiments...Something just doesn't seem right does it?

"I wonder whats been going on here since I left..." Veone thought as he wandered down the crowded streets of Valus City trying to remember his way around, He'd never actually spent all that much time in the city itself.
"Hey! Watch it kid!!" yelled a man as Veone bumped into him. "Sorry..." Veone muttered as he shuffled hastily past the man. At this point Veone had decided that he was completely, utterly, and hopelessly lost...After moment of thought Veone realized the he couldn't truly be lost if he didn't have an actual destination.
Veone quietly stepped into an alley way to get away from the river of people that crowded the side walk, he leaned up against a white stone building looking up at the gray sky..."Typical weather..." Veone muttered to himself before a memory popped into his head...A memory of his only (possibly) living friend...Judgment which was her code name, she unlike him had never been graced with a real name before being sold to GH to become the weapons they are today.
"Where are you Judge?" Veone asked the sky as he wished to see his friend again. After a few quiet moments he pushed his way back into the moving wall of people, now with a destination...The GH research facility on the eastern side of town.
After spending nearly an hour running in circles trying to get proper directions Veone arrived at the facility, he stood a few blocks away from the facility as he considered his options, it wouldn't be a problem getting over the fence and inside the main research building but it might be a hassle getting out with records of Judgment in hand...Veone would need a plan...

((Unoccupied for months? Needs updating? Happy to.))
Using the jet that he had purchased a year ago, Vidunder traveled out to Valus city to meet with Lord Valus II, and perhaps speak with him about the direness of the situation down south. After all, if any group of people would be able to fight Yaits and his tyrany, than it would be the Valus. Five centuries of warriors makes a country strong, yes?
...Yeah. The perfect story to feed the needing king. That is exactly what Vidunder felt.
So, upon his arrival, he made a Bee line for the central Governing building. He had set up an appointment and everything. He was carrying with him a very odd case. It was huge, though perfectly normal in shape.
Being ushered down the hall by a series of men, he was finally let into a room where Ravius Aleczander Valus II resided. Pressing inside, he stood to see a very tall, musclar man standing against a window. "...Vidunder... You are here for the interview, yes?"
"Indeed, sir. I am with Origin Industries from Dur'em, and I wanted to speak to you about the conflict taking place to the south."
"Yes... the Ymiristan situation. I agree that something must be done. But, alas, we are a long since weakened country. We have an army, indeed, but it is hardly what it once was."
"I understand, King, but indeed, there is potential in your army. I have heard of your City's troubles. I know that there has been word of murders and disappearings. Not to mention the recent increase of Freaks along your borders, as well as the Genetic Horizon incident."
The king turned, his face going stoney. "...How did you hear of these things?"
"I have my ways." said the quiet business man.
Valus could not put his finger on it, but something about this man made him feel very uncomfortable. Perhaps it was his glowing red eyes, or the fact that he didn't seem to ever breathe... "So... what of it? What should I do of my problems?"
"Simple, King." Vidunder came closer and the king looked at him with intense interest. "Allow my men to take a two-day sweep of all the area around your city. We can round up the freaks, and I will personally go into GH and find the cause of all your problems. I'll do it all for free and without charge."
Valus looked at the man with intense critisism. "...And what do I have to do?" He knew there was something.
"Offer your army's alligance with Origin Industries."
"...A medical company? But who else is allied with you? You don't mean to take on Yaits and Ymiristan on your own, do you?"
"God, no. Actually, a friend of mine is on his way to Gambino Island right now to talk to Mr. Gambino himself. So, very soon, we'll have a much greater force than you can imagine."
The two talked for some time longer, and eventually, the King crumbled.
Vidunder now had some work to do.

((Is Valus 2 miles from the southern coast, or is it in the north?))
Carl exited the scout hummer and took up his binoculars, looking over toward the sprawling city on the horizon. Now that Ymiristan was a nation, he was full class secret service. Bill was too, though he didn't seem to take anything seriously anymore, and he slept way too much.
"Wake the F^$% up," Carl yelled into the vehicle, as he leaned over the window he felt the vial in his pocket press against him, the one to open if they failed.
Bill fumbled out the back, his fingers still shaking from being roused quickly out of his nap.
"This sucks," Bill said, "Must be punishment, taking us out of Durem and having us trek out here. You never here anything about this place in the news."
"Idiot," Carl moaned, putting down his binoculars, "I bet Yaits has more covert resourses here than he has on the front. Didn't you listen to the breifing, it's crucial this place be kept quiet. The whole independence thing was premature. High command can barely afford a one front war on defense right now."
"I still think this is punishment for Durem caves, putting us here to assasinate some punk who's influencing the king. They couldn't even tell us who this damn guy was. I'm pissed off about this mission, Fubar!"
They got back into the mountain camo recon hummer.
"First things first, let's hook up with mole in the city."
"The crime boss guy?"
"Yah, him."

Veone Ceravelli Intro: The sprawling city of Valus is one of the largest cities on the continent located only a two miles from the continents southern coast this is known as the city of Storms, it is one of the most advanced cities on the continent and has been hit by many massive storms over the many years. Valus had not sworn sword to Yaits. And everything that was going on, they didn't have time to screw around. So, when the first side went to offer up a solution to the growing problems, what is a struggling king to do?
...
No, not commit suicide, you ********' git.
Vidunder left the building, satisfied. He had successfully stepped up his game, and he had it in writing. Valus was now under his command. And no one would be able to stop that. Especially Yaits.
Something about Yaits annoyed Vidunder. Perhaps it was the fact that Yaits himself has never stepped out into the public, that he remains at all times in the shadows, allowing his underlings to do the work for him. Not the way of a proper ruler, but what can one expect in the cushy environment Gaia is these days?
As Vidunder left, he would duck into an Alley way and open his gigantic case. With no hesitation, the ARDS unit, including glowing red eye, stepped out. "This... This is a good day for us, my dear friend. After all, ARDS, we are close... You know the plan. Go to the outskirts of Valus Territory..."
"And capture the Freaks." ARDS responded in a deep, metalic voice. After all this time, it was picking up human.
"Outstanding. I've got to go back in there, as I feel something troublesome afoot." And with that, the tuxedoed megalomaniac would go back into the building in wait, his conference with the king becoming one of outstanding length.

The conference room and dining hall of Don Marlioni's mansion was centered by a long oval table with seating for eight. A gold chandelier hung over the center of the table, which was clothed in red. The Don himself sat at the end, on a big chair, an oil painting of himself hanging behind his big, fancy, dining room chair. He was a heavy man who sweated constantly, his most persistant and disturbing feature being his lack of his neck. A bloated triangle formed the pointy tip of his forehead, and his face widened until reached it's shoulders. Nobody knew wether he was born like that or if his face had sunk into his body because of the fat drooping his jowls. He looked over Bill and Carl; Bill and Carl looked over him.
"So enough small talk boys," Marlioni said, "My sources in the palace say the king Valus II is completely beholden to this mysterious man, a lich. The king has always been weak minded, but he does whatever this lich tells him. His name is Vidunder, and he isn't to be fooled with. He heads some operation in the far east called Origin Industries, he wants to mess up the whole situation."
Marlioni slapped the table, screaming in a high pitched whine, "My profits boys, my profits, how am I suppose to keep making a profit if the army is restored and I can't make money from the ring!"
Marlioni ran, 'The Ring', along with his gang of eight. They had been responsible for many assasinations in Valus, many of them paid for by Yaits Corporation in an effort to keep the city quiet.
"What if they get enough organized to bring me in and take down the gang," he cried, "I won't be poor, I'll be dead! I'm tellin you, Yaits has to do somethin' bout this. I mean now, not later, now! I'll lose control of the city if this Vidunder isn't stopped. If I lose control of the city boys, Yaits is going to have both your heads on a silver platter. Because I'm his man here!"
"Where did you get this information," Carl asked.
"I have my people in the palace, they don't call me the Eyes Marlioni for nothing," he boasted, "You can take everything tell you for gospel truth. They are going to start taking out the freaks and orcs that have been harrasing the city, some of which your boy has been breeding."
Carl and Bill didn't even know that much.
"Yaits Corp is breeding trolls and orcs?" Bill asked.
"I have my sources," Marlioni said, "Pointing to his eyes. If I get captured, the detailed accounts may come in handy as bargaining chips, you know?"
Carl grit his teeth, the b*****d knew way too much for his own good.
"Talking to the king won't work," Bill said, "So we're screwed."
"Easy boys, easy," Marlioni said, "You're in the hands of the most powerful crime boss in Valus, and you two seem quite capable as well. I'm keeping tabs on the b*****d movement, we're going to assasinate him. Are you boys in."
Carl put his gun on the table, said, "Seems to be no other choice."

Vidunder was in charge of Valus. He held no humbleness in his megalomaniactic actions. Valus II was not his father, and in such he was no master of war. But under Vidunder's actions, things would be different. And Vidunder liked that. So, at the moment, he would be standing silent, tall. He was standing in the most cliche buy somewhere he was more than happy to be. On top of Valus Tower. So, he stood. Waiting. He had two phonecalls that he was waiting on. One from Gambino Island, the other from home base in Dur'em. The Origin Building was being remade after an incident with Gate and some terrorist cell. Gate removed them, but the building was smashed to bits. It was how Vidunder got Knives and Dante. It was how Vidunder found ARDS.
It was how he set his plans to motion.
Vidunder turned, going to the service elevator and hitting the button with the (1*) on it, and he slowly dropped to the bottom floor. Once there, the door opened and people who two days earlier didn't know he existed welcomed him and asked how his day was. He nodded and accepted pleasentries, making his way to the outside. It was dark. It was going to rain again. Valus rained often. Vidunder was in love with it.
He had some work to do today. Today, he was meant to meet with ARDS outside of Genetic Horizons. With the king's full permission, he was able to go into the building and bust any skulls who attempt to stop them. With the Lich and the Mecha, there were two foot soldiers and a pair of beastly men standing seven feet tall. They was an overly muscled Man-dragon, their large, fleshy wings sitting on their arms like a trench coat. One, the senior of the two, wore purple. The other wore red.
Within ten minutes, Vidunder arrived, and the six went in. There, three people were waiting. Vidunder stood before the others in quiet intolerance. "We are here under order of Sir Valus II. We damand full access to the building and all research papers. Everything offered up front will be taken into consideration and your sentance won't be nearly as painful. But I can assure you. Any attempt at keeping information from us or attempting to hinder this investigation will be met with extreme retaliation. We are given full right to investigate as we please."
The three looked at Vidunder with some kind of hesitance, and he turned, looking to the five. "Start the investigation around the city's edge. I can handle this one." With that comment, the five, sans ARDS, gave him the same hesitance before nodding and turning, departing. The three executive members of GH looked truely insulted, but what could they do. Yet. "Let's get on with this inspection. I need to see your database, all laboratories and any secret projects." His voice was starn and serious, despite the oddity of the outlandish requests.
He was taken all around the building, given full inspection of everything until they reached Lab Seven, which was connected to a large, white room with a window looking into the lab. "...I will need to inspect that room for a number of things." Vidunder scowled at the three execs, one of which whom opened the door for him. A moment or two passed, and Vidunder began looking over the instruments and cages inside. It was at the third cage when he heard the foot-thick steel door slam shut. With an unamused look, he turned to the window. "Let me out immediately."
He was calm. Why was beyond them, though one figured he was likely some kind of numb or some such. So, they quickly rushed to the controls, pressing the gas button. Vidunder continued to stare at the window, his look becoming continuingly annoyed. "Is this really worth murder, gentlemen?" He asked sarcasticly. Once he got to the basement, the things he would have found would have made tripple life sentances all around, so a murder wouldn't hurt them now. The vents in the cieling began to hiss, and a thick green gas poured out, falling onto Vidunder and flooding the room.
With a fiegned cough, he looked up and took hold of his clip board. There were four lightbulbs, and the opposite room was totally dark, save the screens. Perfect for him. Lifting his board, he flug his board at the three floresant lightbulbs which were lined together. The shattered, and the room went totally dark. He then proceeded, pressing his hand on the window. On the monitor, which was night-vision filtered, it would display his right arm transforming, making a monsterous shape, which smashed the window inward. The three executives shouted and fell backwards. The one on the panel started to run to the door, but it would do him no good. Vidunder was across the room in an instant, upon the man. His arm was raised, and from the monsterous collage of apparent ogans, he turned it into a Death Arm (see Nightmare ala Soul Calibur), turning the talons in to impale the throat and either lung. He then turned to the second whom was struggling to reach the button to turn the gas off.
This would reflect his death as Vidunder quickly snatched him up and flung him into the adjacent room, where he smacked into the far wall and layed out on the floor. It is hard to say what killed him, because an autopsy would show an excessive exposure to gas, as well as multiple shattered points on his spine.
With this, the emergancy lights would finally click on, and Vidunder would see steam rising from the third man's crotch in the icy-cold room. This left the Lich with a grin on his lips. Raising his palm to the frightened man, he forced him to watch the palm split open, running across to show a hole the size of a mouth. With that, the split opened wide, exposing rows of teeth. in an instant, Vidunder was upon him, devouring his skull with the death arm, absorbing his mind's information before drawing his blood up inside of himself. With that, he went about and carefully sucked the bodies into his own, destroying any evidance of the triple murder and turned his arm back to normal. He then went outside via the lab door, hitting a large, red button that read LEAK. A long titanium shutter closed, smacking shut and stopping anything from escaping. He then proceeded with his inspection.
~~~~~
In the basement, Vidunder stood before several cages, his eyes inspecting the monsters inside. One of which made him particularly annoyed. It was a mixed up monster, part human, part bat, part shade demon. "..." Vidunder saw it, and all he could think of was his own birth. So, with a scowl, he reached into the cage and pierced the premature monster's chest, crushing it's heart. "...You'll never turn into me."
Aside from that, there were chimera, golems, the whole nine yards. And the last of everything? Another room, this one filled to the brim with an experiment that GH can't even bear responsibility. A room filled with Grunnies. But they weren't green like usual. They were a dark brozey tone, it's little, beaded eyes letting off small sparks of electricity. "...Interesting."
Two hours later, he had loaded up three vans with experiments, and he had taken from the facility three cases of data drives, all of which were to be taken back to Valus Tower. There, the files would be picked apart with a lice comb, and Vidunder would transfew the monsters down to Dur'em to Origin's new building. The vans were all carrying soldiers and one had Vidunder in it. It wasn't far from the Tower, so any attack had ten to fifteen minutes space to take place.
"...Time for me to get to work."
The vans were all carrying soldiers and one had Vidunder in it. It wasn't far from the Tower, so any attack had ten to fifteen minutes space to take place. "...Time for me to get to work." Marlioni had contacts within Genetic Horizons, he had done much 'work' for them, and while he didn't know everything that was going on, he had been informed by his mole in the laboratory. The area around the facility by the gang of eight, who were not elite assasins of some fame in Valus for nothing. Once the vans left the facility, the assasins went to work, following the rooftops to keep up with the convoy as it moved along the narrow streets. It was obvious that the opponant was not fully human, and that there was already a failed attempt on his life that had been undertaken by the employees at Genetic Horizon's, one of which was the mole who had informed Marlioni in the first place. Soon the convoy would reach check point, then the action would start.
Bill fired a hand held TOW anti-tank missile at the front tire of the lead van. The force of the blast ripped off the right front tire, broke the front wind sheild, and sent the vehicle spiraling onto the sidewalk. One of the gang fired another Tow missile simultaneously at the rear van, hitting the gas tank to create a column of fire that would help block the convoy from a retreat. Bill ducked for cover after making the shot, watching the action through a pocket periscope.
Skimpy Vince jumped on the road in front of the lead van with the missing wheel. He was eight feet tall and weighed 342 pounds, all muscle. A massive broad sword was over his back, balance by the back of the blade over his shoulder. He surveyed the situation grimly for a second, before swinging his sword at the first van. It was sliced horizontaly between the middle, as would be any remaining occupants. He didn't know where the target was, but the vans contained 'evidence that needed to be destroyed'
As Vince went to work in the front, two short skiny men dressed in black from head to two, the twins, jumped on the van in the middle of the convoy, digging the metal claws of their gloves into the roof and using them like heavy duty can openers. As soon as a hole was opened in the van, they would drop a quick timed fragmentation grenade inside.
Far to the back, Carol covered the operation through the scope of his sniper rifle, from the description of Vidunder, it seemed as if he had met the man before, somewhere, but he shook those thoughts out of his head.
As of yet, four of the gang had engaged the convoy. A woman in a black suit leaned casually against the wall to the left side of the convoy's middle. She swung a small dagger in the air, as if she didn't care that she was an obvious target, waiting for the target to show himself. The remaining three members of the gang weren't there, as Marlioni made it a policy never to use them all in the same operation. In fact, this was the first time more than three worked together at the same time.
The attack was abrupt, and there was no way most anyone would survive, right? The middle van, and most all experiments within were destroyed. The back van caught fire and quickly exploded when hit with the rocket. The first van was cut in two, and everyone within was sliced cleanly in two, including the driver, the passenger, and four out of five experiments there in.
This attack was damned near perfect. But time would prove it wasn't. Both the Twins and Vince made a serious mistake. Vince sliced open a case with one of those five experiments, and on top of that, the experiment was one half of the Shockerunnies. The other half were blown open and freed by the Twins.
These little, yellowish critters would quickly spread out and begin an attack on the targets that attacked them. They didn't appear to be nearly as stupid as normal Grunny, which meant that GH was doing their job pretty ******** well.
But that wouldn't be all. There, in the first van, when the top was sent sailing out, the top of a body would be seen rolling out, pale as paper with long, black hair and the fine top of a tuxedo. And from the shock, the door on the passenger side was also ripped apart, and the legs that matched the top fell out, rolling along the ground. Vidunder was entirely halved.
Quietly, the attack would go on for a little bit, and corpses were generated quickly. In fact, for a change, Vidunder's freakishly disgusting reconstruction ability went un-noticed, except by, probably, Carol. He would stand up, scowling. "********. ARDS, get back here."
Now, Vidunder wasted no time on this. He was pissed the ******** off. someone had not only cut him in two, but they had attacked his convoy. And being that he was the freak he was, he was looking pretty damned ugly in his rage. He ducked low, jumping forward and diving around the bottom of the lower van, ducking through all the Grunnies, his right hand curling into a fist. He would duck around to the side of Vince and send out a punch.
But no simple punch. No, this punch was not so simple. When he extended his arm, out launched two large, quarter-football shaped pieces of darksteel that appeared to just... come out of his arm. They would come together over his fist before contact and would act as a ram with a blade around it, as the edges were damned sharp. No matter how this might have turned out, he would quickly pull a his right back, whipping around with a similar move from his left.
Across town, ARDS came flying, his single glowing red eye shining brightly as the mass of enchanted chains flew. His target was the convoy. From there, the two Mandragons were following on foot, rushing past people on the street by bouncing off of buildings. The plan was silent but agreed on by all.
They didn't appear to be nearly as stupid as normal Grunny, which meant that GH was doing their job pretty well. Vince swung at the demented zombie pickachus as they came at him, retreating as he leveled them back with a swing of his sword, the shock wave would cut the creatures even if the blade's tip missed them by as much of a foot. Two of them were sliced open badly, but Vince hadn't reckoned with an electric attack. He took the first shock well, his hair slightly singed. But those things kept at him, shocking him again and again, wearing down his ability to fight. Burns started to sprout across his face and over the flesh of his arms. His shirt was smoking. Carl was picking the little electric bastards off one after the other, clean shots to the head from an eagle eye marksman who maximized the speed and efficiency of most any weapon he worked with. He saw the target regenerating, but a few bullets weren't going to affect that "Thing" too much, so he covered Vince as he backed away from the lead van that he had just sliced open. Bill also saw the thing through his handy pocket periscope, and muttered a curse because he didn't have another missile. The heavy weapons man of the gang of eight did though, and since he was on the rooftops, he spotted the regenerating Vidunder and readied another TOW missile, but it would take almost half a minute to set-up and aim properly before fired at the target. Would Vidunder regenerate fast enough to avoid the missile? The heavy weapons man signaled Vince to back away, as the target was near the big boy's position. In order to punch Vince, Vidunder would have to regenerate before being blown to bacon bits by TOW anti-tank missile first, but if that little problem was avoided, Vince was in the process of retreating from the grunnies, electrical attacks slowing him down. If Vidunder could go forward and make the attack before Vince was out of range, it would hit home, as Vince was far too occupied with the electric grunnies to properly defend himself. The twins darted back to the rooftops with masterful agility, though they had taken a few shocks along the way due to the near imposibility of completely evading an electrical attack. A small gang of electric grunies surrounded the woman who had been leaning against the wall. There was a blurr, followed by five dead grunnies falling from the air, all of their necks snapped bloodlessly. She would deal with ny grunies that attacked her as such while she waited for the heavy weapons man to finish off the target. If he couldn't do the job, she would.
Vidunder's regeneration, without spoiling later plot events in my own story line, is based entirely on what it was that destroyed his body and how scattered his parts are. And, simply put, Vince's attack was a perfectly clean slice, like a box cutter across paper clean. Further more, with the shock of the attack, Vidunder's pieces were rolled right together. All that happened were little chords would snap out and grab the other half of the body and pull them together. All in all, he'd be standing in time for the missile to fire.
Standing up, Vidunder would mutter his command to ARDS, and the grey text would happen as mentioned. However this time, Vidunder would hear the missile and jump upwards, this time actually latching onto the missile in mid air, and actually slow it's attempt at the ground. When his heels touched to pavement, he would force the block of explosive steel to turn trajectory so that it would infact be pointing at the struggling swordsman and his mountain of poke-omgeatingmealive monsters. Once he was pleased with it's directionality, he let go, and the missile would soar for Vince.
Now, if JAF knows anything about rockets and the like, then if Vince were to attempt to cut or strike it, the bomb would go off and blow off, at the very least, his hand and most his upper arm, no?
From here, Vidunder would follow suit, rushing along after the missile and for Vince. And as before, he would come around, though this time duckrolling under the sword and inevitably the blast, unleashing the domeblade attack from the back and to the right of Vince. It was risky to pull it, but hell, he wasn't too worried about anything.
Carl was piking off the grunies, Bill helped with his handgun by getting headshots whenever he could. They were giving Vince room to defend himsef and keeping him from being overwhelmed, as there couldn't be much more than a hundred of the things packed into the vans that had been destroyed. Vidunder slowed the missile and attempted to alter its trajectory, and Vince was quick on the uptake, he knew what was going on. He lifted his over sized sword, arched his back, and threw it at the missile. The explosion would tear up Vidunder's arms, and possibly rip his head into crunchy bacon bits. Vince would be far enough away to be unaffected.
This game was getting boring. Vidunder, holding onto a missile, would not have been so fool hearty to miss a blade sailing through the air. So what did the Lich do? He would jump. And in this jump, he would be forcing the missile to turn all the way around, pointing at it's point of origin, the demolitionist in the Gang of Eight.
Vidunder would let go and watch this bomb travel fast enough to deflect bullets back to it's home. And considering the speed at which everything transpired, it would be near Godlyness to save the man.
As for Viddy Cent, he would drop down just in time to land on the sword, which would smack right onto the ground. Looking back at Vince, he would scowl. "A barbarian without a sword." The Lich spat, sliding to the ground to lift the sword. For something that massive, such a slender man should have had a great deal of trouble, if capable at all. But then, anyone watching would have just seen this man redirect a missile by hand in mid air, so maybe the sword wasn't anything special? Vidunder did not look pleased by the blade to say the least. "...What is this? Scrap metal? Yaits doesn't pay you well, does he?*" Who else would be out to get him? Yaits likely knew Vidunder stood as a good threat. But at this point, Vidunder no longer cared about Yaits. His eyes were on Vince.
So, with a snarl, he would reach over and take the blade with both hands and start running for Vince, his eyes burning. Behind him, a black mist wafted away, and one would be astonished with the man's ability to not only wield the blade, but lift it up and preform a verticle arch-cut for Vince's nose.
*Because this incident started some three or four days ago, Vidunder would not have heard about Yaits' demise, because it hasn't happened.
((Switching to Killer Sumo for the NPC's, everyone here expendable, including Bill and Carol, though I was thinking about making them listed characters.))
The heavy weapon's man couldn't divert the guided anti-tank missile in time and was pretty much disintigrated by the blast. Skimpy Vince's eyes narrowed; it was the signal for: I'll hold him off, everyone else make dust. Vince had never faced anything like the electric grunnies before, or this regenerating freak. His heart was skipping beats, partly due to nerves, but more so because of electrical shocks from the grunnies, most of which had been picked off by Carol. Vince's skin was riddles with electric burns, but he still stood his ground as Vidunder attacked, knowing his time was soon over. Not able to retreat fast enough, he extended his muscular arms, and attempted to catch the blade, pressing the sides of the steel against his palms. If he didn't die instantly, maybe he could be the others some time to get out of dodge.
Vidunder was moving in a straight line toward Vince, so Carl figured to get a head shot, only his line of fire was blocked by the woman with the daggers, who jumped in from behind with a dagger ready for Vidunder's back just before he had the shot lined up.
"Damn fool," Carl cursed, the shot was lost.
The twins were making tracks over the rooftops, in split directions out from the center of the convoy. The woman hadn't followed Vince's orders though. Bill had stopped firing, because he had slumped behind cover and wet himself when Vidunder diverted the missile, his little periscope laid next to him.
Now, if Vince didn't move really ******** fast, he was in two. And with the shocks to his chest, it might be less painful to be dead. But the answer was down to his own movements. Vidunder would drop the blade the second it touched the ground, spinning about to actually punch Carol in the left breast. It was a tactless but highly effective attack, if it hit. From here, he would either respond to her reaction, or move off to the side and get a feel for his surroundings.
As for the rest of the team, something bad was happening. Well... Worse. Vidunder's team had appeared. ARDS, the restored defensive unit in Leviathan Stadium, stood looking about assessing the situation. And he appeared to be taking a very odd position. He had ducked forward and began eliminating Grunnies. After all, Vidunder needed Valus in one piece, so Grunnies would make problems of this. As for the Brother Men-Dragons, they would appear and lift right back up off the ground and go after the fleeing Twins.
The Brothers had fight and extreme mass on their sides, and they wanted both Twins dead. So, each would reach into their robes, retrieving a weapon of their choice. The eldest drew a Mythrill Pitchfork from his robe, and the younger would draw a Darksteel Blade from his, following as close as they could, not sending any kinds of launch attacks to keep the damage down. However, when they were in range, they would swoop down and attempt a gash at them. They were hoping they could stop the twins long enough to push them into a hand to hand brawl.
