I've heard many people complain about not being able to buy a bjd beacause of many things, I just wanted to know what some specific resons were!
my current reason- I was invited to Prom (yay for me!) but lots of nice dresses are as expensive as dolls!!!

College tuition.
Except I'll be getting another one anyway.
And then working my a** off this summer to cover next year.
Then getting a job next semester during school to fund more doll stuff >__>;
But college tuition does certainly slow the process down X___x (my current jobless state does, also, which is due to my class schedule in part.)

Bills and lack of funds. It'd be great to have one, but what would be the point if she didn't have a home to come to? What an SD13 Sara costs is rent and food for a whole month! O.o;

Car payments and having money to survive at college.
Any extra money goes to anime DVDs, conventions, and cosplay (when you can do five/six cosplays for the price of one doll...).

I can only get two or three, maybe four at the most cosplays in on the price of a normal (non Volks) doll!

heehee, I cant get one because I need to get an apartment first! But once thats good, I'll be saving for both a doll and my own computor sweatdrop well, a computor that works in the modern sense! (I have a Toshiba lap top, but it only takes floppies, the battery is dead (and expensive to replace) so I have to use a cord, and it can not be hooked up to the internet! Heehee, I call it the electric paperweight! Back in HS I still ussed it for word precessing, because it was faster than our home comp! whee (the old home PC was from when I was 4! It had DOS, green letters on a black monitor, and a dot matrix printer! If I kept it a few more years it would be a collectable blaugh
eek Ooops......any way: apartment, then doll, then a new lap top! biggrin

1) Rent, utlities etc....
2) conventions and cosplay supplies
3) Need a higher paying job
4) Have to pay off the lappy (my girls are worth almost as much is this)
5) Kitty and snake to feed
6) Pay my roomate back
I think that's about it

Well, reason #1 would be paying bakc my mom some money I owe her for something I didn't want her to get me in the first place... stressed But other than that....mostly not getting enough hours at work. I need to get more hours to save up money, but (in a frustrating loop) I can't work very many hous more (not that it matters, since my boss won't give me them anyway) and still keep up in college. sweatdrop
Still gonna buy Wren's new body with this paycheck, though. **dances**

currently I have almost enough money I would need to get an Edward Elric Jerome! but of course now that I have the money he is no where to be found! (birthdays and 28hours of working get money! -first time in a while I haven't had to go to the bank account for money)

Ooooh, you're getting the Edward Jerome? I want one so bad (rabid FMA fan - obsessively playing the PS2 game right now)....but I have no CLUE what I'd do with him. I'd be afraid of leaving him out of things when I play with the others. I'm gonna cosplay an Ed next spring at Sakura-con (complete with a METAL automail arm and possibly leg as well), and it would be SO cool to have a little Ed BJD to carry around. I could say I transmuted him from a coffe pot or something! **giggles insanely**

I love Basic Kit Boy Nik from AR, but I can't get him because I'm the worst shopaholic in the world. crying If I ever get money, I have to spend it as soon as possible. So unless I get $600 at once, Nik will always be unnatainable for me. sweatdrop
