It was a few days after the Logan incident and things had settled down in Echo's home. At first her sister had seemed a bit on edge, being as a strange male had randomly gone up to her and asked if she and her twin had wanted to go back to his pack with him. It must have been a bit too forward for Ophelia, but then again maybe not. The two sisters were a bit distrustful when it came to any wolf, pack wolves especially. Ophy simply seemed to show it more.
Now, however, most of what had happened was forgotten. Perhaps not his promise, but mostly everything else. Echo was out hunting and Ophelia was taking the day off, as her twin had told her to. Echo felt her sister deserved one after all that she had done and after all that she had been through.
So, stalking through the grasses was the sibling of the most clumsy wolf that possibly ever lived. But, surprisingly, she actually had a bit of grace. She didn't stumble usually... it was just the killing part that got to her.
Why kill the innocent? Those bunnies didn't do anything...
But, she knew, fresh meat was needed in order for her and Ophy to survive, and so thus killing was necessary in order to have fresh meat. She still didn't like the idea, however, and so usually hesitated, which then gave the prey time to scurry away and hide.
Today, though, it seemed the young female's luck was running short. The day was half over and still Echo hadn't come across anything...

A few days had passed since Logan had last seen Echo, he remembered when he ahd to say good-bye, when he nearly choked on his words, how he didn't want to say them but he had to. How she made him actually feel like he mattered to someone, even if she didn't feel the same way, he felt like he belonged somewhere, but he was part of Phib's pack, a guard...he culdn't just leave right after he had joined.
He wanted Echo and her sister to come back with him...he wanted Echo to be closer...in more ways then one perhaps...
Logan had wandered from teh packlands again, he hoped Phib would not get angry with him, but he had to go back, to see her again...he promised, he wouldn't break that promise to her or himself...
He wanted to see her again...
As he entered the area he had been in before with Echo, he remembered he had to howl out to her, but what if she was resting, or her sister was? What to do, he could pick up her scent, it was really close, but he couldn't see her, he fur blended in with the trees in this area.
He laid down in the grass, resting his head on the ground, the only visible part of him was his curled tail, that was swaying back adn forth. He wanted to call out to her, but he didn't want to disturb her if she was sleeping...he liked to sleep during the day too...
Oh look a bunny...
LIttle and soft, innocently sitting there...but Logan's thoughts kept trailing back to Echo...he wanted to see her so much...tell her the truth, of how he really felt.

All thoughts of Logan were gone from her mind, but only because she was attempting to focus on hunting and gathering food for her and her sister. But before that, for the past few days, she had thought about him nearly non-stop. She had even had a dream about him. It was strange, really. She had never thought about someone so much, and she had only met him that day!
It was weird and simply all new to the female, and she found herself scared by the feeling. Why was she thinking of him so..?
Oh look, a bunny. She crouched down low, her tail stiff like all the other muscles in her body were. She would catch this one since there was no telling when she would happen upon another opportunity. But then something else caught her eye... something sort of bright and fluffy.
Distracted from the bunny, she tilted her head and instead crawled forward towards the strange thing, which just happened to be Logan's tail.
Once she was a few feet from his tail, she waggled her butt then pounced!

Logan breathed deeply, staring ut at the bunny, then it skittered away, Logan wasn't sure why it did it, he wasn't even thinking about teh woods around him, he was only thinking of Echo. It made his heart yearn to tell her even more, but he was also afraid she wouldn't feel the same way, and that he'd be stuck on her until teh day his body became one with the earth. He wanted to see her so much.
To be able to sit with her, talk to her, he loved talking with her, despite her curse, her voice was lovely, he wondered if he said what he wished to say, if she;d repeat it back, and smile that lovely smile she had, and have teh same feelings. That would make his heart soar, and make him feel like he belonged some where, that someone actually cared for him. He'd then protect her, want her to come back with him, he'd hunt for her, talk with her, stay with her...
He sighed, but how to find her? The next moment he nearly yelped out in surprise when he felt something pounce on his tail, he whirled around, almost ready to growl when his face softened, his tail began to wagged and he smiled...
"Echo!"

Echo was probably the most oblivous wolf on the face of the earth. Even though she had been thinking of Logan nearly non-stop, she hadn't been paying enough attention to notice that the thing she had pounced on had actually been his tail. She should have though, what with his unique curl being, well... unique.
She was glad to see him, but then she was also scared by the way he suddenly whirled around like that. But, she figured, it was fair that he did that. She did, after all, randomly pounce on his tail from seemingly no where. He was right to whirl around quickly like he had. Heck, she probably would have done that too if she wasn't one to go running off before she got a chance to really find anything out.
But, that didn't matter.
The female smiled and wagged her tail, showing Logan that she was happy to see him. But she let her head hang when she couldn't properly greet him. Damn her curse!

Logan smiled at her and tok a few steps closer to her, he wanted to just go right up to her and lick her on her cheek adn tell her how much he had missed her adn thought about her and what he felt for you. But he was still scared...that she wouldnt feel the same way.
"I missed you..." he said low in his gruff yet soft voice, looking at her with a smile, "I thought about you a lot..." he probably should have waited until telling her these things, but he had to, he wished to tell her and have her know. And hope that she felt the same way. He thought of her a lot, wanted her to come back with him.
"Have you and Ophelia been good?" he asked, taking into consideration Echo's sister, he wanted to be on good terms with Echo's sister, in hopes that their relationship might grow. He longer to be with Echo, but wanted her to feel teh same way, adn not be pressured into anything. He wanted her to have the feelings on her own. He wagged his tail adn smiled at her, wanting to go up to her and nuzzle her and tell her a million things.

Echo noticed him take a few steps closer and suddenly she became nervous. Her ears folded back but she didn't move away. She didn't want to make him sad like she had that other day, when she had decided not to go back to his pack with him and made him say good-bye. She had seen the look on his face, how sad and forlorn he had looked. She didn't want to do that to him again.
"Missed you," she whispered back, her tail swishing back and forth behind her for a moment. She really did mean what she said, that she had missed him. "Thought about you," she said also, nodding her head. It was amazing how they both thought of each other so much... what did it mean? Surely it was just a little something that didn't mean much at all? As much as she wanted to think that (for any big idea scared her), something in her gut told it was big.
Glancing off to the side, the female blushed a little. For some reason, she felt suddenly shy. Luckily, he asked a question that gave her something else to focus on.
"Been good," she repeated, nodding. Sure, they had been well enough. They weren't dead, so she considered that good enough.

Logan noticed her ears fold back, adn tilted his head at her, he didn't take anymore steps forward, he didn't want her to be nervous at all, not at all, he wanted her to be comfortable around him. Not nervous.
He smiled and his tail wagged even more when she repeated his word, true meaning when she said them, she had thought of him too, adn missed him as well. He felt like he was melting, but a new part of him was being renewed. The part of him that had had no purpose in the past, and was being filled with life and renewal.
He was happy to hear that things were good between her and Ophelia, he wondered what Echo was doing out here. Then he remembered the rabbit, she was probably hunting."Hunting?" he then thought of an idea that could help Echo and maybe the situation at hand as well.
"Echo, theres a stream nearby, that have some fish in it, they're pretty easy to catch, much easier then a rabbit if you want me to show you..." He hoped she would want to, by the stream would be a perfect time to tell her, a better romantic setting then here. He hoped if he told her his feelings there, that she would repeat them again, and mean them again...but he knew there would be one thing missing from her statement, his name... but that was alright. If she said it, it would be all the better for him.Logan truly cared about Echo a lot.

Echo stood there awkwardly, her tail swishing with the wind mostly at this point. She wanted to make him happy, not sad, but she didn't know what to do when he looked at her like that and tried to get close. When he did that, her mind simply went blank and she got all nervous. She shook her head, trying to clear all bad thoughts and merely focus on whatever they were talking about, which just happened to be hunting.
"Hunting," she repeated, nodding slightly. How did he...? Ah, the rabbit. She had forgotten for a moment that he could had possibly seen the rabbit as well. Hopefully he hadn't been hunting it and she had scared it off...
Then he suddenly offered to teach her how to fish. She had tried that for a while, but the fish didn't seem to agree with her stomach. Nonetheless, she figured she could at least bring back some fish for her twin. Maybe Ophelia was able to eat fish and digest them better than she was.
Nodding and smiling, the female wagged her tail again. "Show," she said softly, her eyes shining with the sun.

Logan smiled, almost to a grin when Echo told him to show her the stream, the way she said it, and the way her eyes sparkled in the sun created a warm feeling within him, such a feeling he could not explain...but was glad that it existed.
His tail wagged back and forth and he turned in teh direction of the stream, craning his neck to teh side to make sure she would be able to follow. It wasn't far from this point at all, he had to cross over it on a log toget here.
He padded forward a few steps and he could already see it come into view, but he couldn't keep his mind just on hunting, teaching Ehco how to fish, his thoughts kept traveling back to Echo...
He opened his mouth the say something, but then quickly closed it again, not yet. He wanted to tell her so much, but he also had a nervous feeling in the pit of his stomach, reason unknown.
"Almost there...see?" he said pointing with his nose in teh direction of the sparkling water.

Echo smiled and happily followed him. This time, though, she went behind him. But it was for a special reason. She was feeling strangely excited and she couldn't help but hop along and n** at his curly tail. It just amused her so much!
Yet when he said that they were almost there, she stopped with her little games and went to stand directly beside him. "See," she nodded, waggging her tail and brushing it against his every time it swished his way.

Logan smirked as he felt Echo n** at his tail, it amused her quite a lot which he found quite playful in her, which he liked. No one ever thought his tail was "special," just odd nad awkward and not normal, but Echo seemed to like it, which was good enough for him.
Soon he watched as she came and stood next to him, walking the last few steps to the edge of teh stream together, her tail brushing against his side every time she wagged it back and forth.
He tried to restrain his thoughts and actions now...but it was getting harder each moment that passed...
He looked down into the water, looking at his reflection for a moment, at one time he saw a wolf with no future or purpose, but that had changed, he could also see the vague image of Echo next to him, which made him smile.
"There..." he said pointing with his paw, to a shadowed area of the, what seemed like little fish swimming around stuck in the pool because of the rocks that surrounded them.
"The fish get caught there, and since the current is strong, most can't get out, which makes them easy to pick up," he said with a wag of his tail, looking at Echo now with an affectionate smile.
Should he say it?
He needed a sign, either from him or Echo or from the stream or something, he needed to know if he should or shouldn't say anything...

Echo continued to wag her tail, even after she realized that it was brushing him. For some reason, she was enjoying the playfulness of it all. She was also enjoying his company like she never thought she would, and it struck her strangely as she had never really felt something like this before.
"Easy to pick up," she repeated, smiling and nodding as her tail began to wag a little faster. For once she understood explanations. Normally, she couldn't be taught mostly anything because she had an unusually hard time grasping concepts and such. The female was more of a hands-on sort of learner and couldn't really be taught with mere words.
Before she had been looking at where Logan had pointed, but now she was glancing at him. She saw his smile, the way he was looking at her...
She smiled back and folded her ears back, but it was more in a manner of blushing than anything else. Watching him with that smile on her face, she moved in front of him--and brushed him with her side and tail--and moved out towards where he had pointed. Once she had passed him, she turned her head to look forward, but her tail flicked to motion him to follow.

Logan watched as Echo looked over the situation, where the fish were, how she stated they were easy to pick up, then she looked at him...
Looked at him with those eyes of hers...
He felt a part of him inside melt with just the sight of her eyes, being here with her, in an area where it was so quiet, that he swore he could hear her heartbeat. Then he watched as her ears fell back..but she didn't seem nervous...was she blushing?
Logan felt...proud? Happy...something like that when he saw her like that, he also felt like nothing could stop him or hold him back from her. He liked Echo so much...so much he could almost clal it...lov-
Where was she going?
He watched her move, in a type of...would he call it a seductive way? She surely seemed in, walking like that, and then brushing up against him, he swore he felt his legs begin to buckle. But he had to stand strong, he wanted to look strong for her. He watched to flick of ehr tail adn immediately followed after her.
He stepped onto one of the stones that peaked up from the water and watched her, adn sometimes glanced down at the fish, but his eyes always traveled back to you...
Now or never...
"Echo..." he said in a questioning soft yet gruff tone, "Can I tell you something?"

Echo didn't know quite what she was going; this was all relatively new to her. These feelings, this way of acting and looking at him like that. But she liked it, almost to a point where she couldn't quite describe it.
Walking slowly and in a way that she had never really walked before--sort of seductive--she made her way over towards the little place that he had been talking about. For a moment she just kept her gaze on the fish swimming round and round, acting as if she might try and capture one. But then he asked her a question and she blinked up at him, her tail wagging slightly.
"Tell," she nodded, smiling.
