There are so many people that say American Idiot is Green Day's worst album, but I disagree. It's not my favorite album, but it's still really good. People are just bent out of shape because it became so popular. What do you think?

Ya know, I used to really hate it until I sat down and thought about it. It is definitely not their greatest album, I agree. But if you actually listen to the individual songs, it's not that horrible. Sure, it's really popular and there's a lot of AI/BOBD/Holiday fans out there, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad album. It's neat how it tells a story and stuff. I'd, of course, prefer nimrod over AI, but that doesn't make it bad. I'd prefer nimrod over Insomniac, too.
*shrug* I dunno...I'm just a tired, absent-minded blonde...don't mine me.

I think that American Idiot just made the illusion that it's the worst one because it sold so much and made them so popular that.. sadly their in stupid teen people magazines argh!. so music wise it's their best album yet. I like all their albums but their all unique in their own way.
i think i'm starting to ramble again, hey maybe the album caught people's attention because it is called American Idiot, and people were like 'oh my what's this about?' cha-ching* and buy it.

I personally think it's a great album, but not my favorite. AI's proabably their most exploited album, and has recieved maybe too much attention. Brilliant, yes, but is over rated. Otherwise, it's fantastic.

I don't listen to the radio at all, so I bought and listned to American Idiot without any outside involvement. And I liked it. Sure I still liked other CDs more, but I still liked the CD. Including Boulevard (until my sister heard it and played it 20 million times and blasted it through the house). However, Nimrod/Warning/Dookie/etc. still hold a larger place in my heart.
So yeah. I'm basically saying what everbody else is saying, except I do like some songs off of AI more than other Green Day songs. Like Homecoming. I love that song. A lot.

it may not be thier best, probably 2nd on my list, but I still listen to it somewhat like... 4 times a day on a good day but if I have to go places and stuff maybe like... 2 if I can bring my walkman with me.

I think it more the Politicle veiw on it. Because of there political view people don't like it because they bash Bush, Radio, and one of the most powerful things in the world right now the Media on the CD. Because of this alot of peole don't like it.
